What You’ll Be Doing

As our Individual Giving Assistant – Supporter Retention & Development, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our fundraising campaigns and projects, helping to retain and maximise the lifetime value of our supporters. You’ll be one of the first points of contact for our donors, providing exceptional supporter care and ensuring every supporter feels valued. Your day-to-day will include:

• Responding to supporter enquiries by phone and email, ensuring all queries are handled efficiently and with care
• Thanking donors and personalising communications to build strong relationships
• Accurately recording and processing donations, including “in memory” gifts, and updating supporter records on our database
• Supporting the delivery of fundraising campaigns, including creating timing plans, checking data, and monitoring stock levels
• Managing invoices and supporting the team with administrative tasks
• Working with colleagues and volunteers to deliver the best possible supporter experience

About the role

You will be responsible for offering infant feeding support for parents within Hackney borough community, within Family Hub settings, on the phone as well as in Homerton Hospital. 
Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

• Providing breastfeeding support to families within Family Hubs settings within Hackney, on the phone and on the wards at Homerton hospital.
• Support in delivering inductions for volunteer peer supporters. 
• To report any concerns or additional support needs of women to the NCT management team and/or Infant Feeding Lead for referral onto partner agencies as appropriate.? 
• To attend regular supervision/support sessions. 
• Having a good working knowledge and understanding of the local demographics in the Hackney area and ensuring all support is accessible and inclusive.
• Ensure that data collection and feedback is collected in a timely manner in an inclusive way.

About you

You will:

• You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. This is a large project and covers multiple locations so you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.
• Being able to make decisions and respond appropriately to our staff, peer supporters and parents and other external stakeholders.
• It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. This requires experience of giving breast milk. The training can be undertaken within your working hours.
• The role is 21 hours per week which will be predominantly Monday to Friday within the working day, however, will include occasional evening and weekends. This role is mainly based at family hubs setting across Hackney borough as well as in Homerton Hospital.

Our client's Teams (No Second Night Out and Somewhere Safe to Stay) provide a rapid response service, intervening to ensure no one needs to sleep rough. They are currently looking for people to join our teams as Night Reconnection Assistants (and Night Assessment Workers).

• Work as part of a busy team environment working closely with those affected by rough sleeping. 

• Provide a safe and supportive environment at night to clients; and support a team of Assessment and Reconnection Workers, with key tasks, such as implementing reconnection or assessment plans and supporting clients in to appropriate accommodation.  

• Work on a 7-day weekly night rota pattern with an average of 3 waking night shifts in a row (for example 8pm–8.30am or 9pm–8am with a 1.5-hour break)

Research and administration

• Work with the prospect research team to identify, qualify and profile new major donor prospects (including individuals, trusts & foundations and companies) in the UK and internationally by using a number of tools and research techniques to gain insight on prospective supporters, estimated wealth and philanthropic interest.

The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. We are now looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 36 hours per week.

The Role

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work at the heart of a portfolio of refurbishment, demolition, and new build projects at the construction stage across the Royal Parks estate.

Getting involved in commissioning and essential survey work, you will manage workstreams and deliver high-value projects led by talented Project Managers and supported by an exceptional team, top-tier consultants, engineers and building contractors.

You will support in the preparation of project briefs, specifications, planning applications and pre-construction information, and work on projects from feasibility stage to completion assisting in the management of budgets, quality and programme. You will also provide organisational and administrative support to the project teams, act as the point of contact for project queries and help to develop scope and procurement strategies.

Additionally, you will:

• Assist with managing project finances, including tracking expenditure and reporting
• Ensure projects comply with all H&S, finance and information policies
• Facilitate site visits
• Minute project meetings
• Track and manage project risks and issues
• Capture final documentation and lessons learned at project close
• Archive project materials

About You

To be considered as an Assistant Project Manager, you will need:

• Experience using structured project management techniques to deliver projects according to RIBA Stages 0-7
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams of professionals and contractors in the delivery of projects
• Experience completing project work to programme, quality, and budget targets or evidence of assisting with thisa
• An understanding of financial reporting
• Report writing and analytical skills
• A degree-level qualification or equivalent gained through relevant training or experience of project management in construction or a related field
• An interest in understanding and getting to know the wider Royal Parks estate and how it operates for the benefit of park users

We are currently looking for an Assistant Support Worker (known internally as Duty Worker) to join our Hope Gardens service, a 27-bed complex needs project within the Hammersmith & Fulham pathway. 

This is a fast-paced psychologically informed environment offering support to vulnerable people to manage/recover from a variety of needs, inclusive of but not limited to substance use, mental/physical health, criminal justice, budgeting, tenancy sustainment and daily living skills.

In this role you will:

• Work on four weekly shift-based pattern to support with the day to day running of the project, working closely with project workers, night staff, manager and external professionals
• Oversee setting weekly H&S tasks, managing repairs, leading on and planning day to day appointments.
• Have the opportunity to lead in a clients support and/or to cooperatively keywork.
• Be the first person that our clients, contractors and visitors meet.
