Suffolk Wildlife Trust is seeking a Membership Assistant to support the delivery of an exceptional experience for our 27,000 members and help drive our mission to bring nature back to Suffolk. This role is central to the effective administration of our membership schemes, ensuring that members feel valued and connected to the work of the Trust.

The Membership Assistant will manage the day-to-day processing of memberships, including maintaining accurate records in our CRM system (Charity CRM by Access), handling payments and Gift Aid, responding to member enquiries & issuing welcome packs and renewal reminders. Working closely with the Senior Supporter Development Officer, they will help improve and streamline our systems, contributing to membership growth and retention.

The role includes co-ordinating the distribution of membership resources, including promotional materials and our members’ magazine, supporting a network of volunteer magazine deliverers across the county.

The post holder will act as a key user of our CRM system, helping colleagues across the organisation use it effectively and in line with GDPR. They will assist with system maintenance, data integrity and provide administrative support for wider fundraising activities. This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who is highly organised, people-focused and passionate about making a difference for wildlife and people in Suffolk.

Finance Assistant

You'll be supporting day-to-day financial operations during a particularly busy period, working alongside a friendly, high-performing part-time team member and reporting to the Assistant Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the finance inbox, managing incoming queries and correspondence professionally
• Prepare supplier folders for payment runs, ensuring invoice, purchase order, approval, and delivery note are matched and complete
• Prepare and process payment runs, including entering supplier payments into Sage 50 and sending remittance advice
• Support purchase order raising in collaboration with the Assistant Finance Manager (note: responsibility is shared depending on workload)
• Conduct general finance admin and data entry

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience with Sage 50, with confidence to use it independently - there will be a short test at interview
• Previous experience in a purchase ledger or finance assistant role, ideally within the charity sector
• High attention to detail and confidence managing documentation for supplier payments
• Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and take initiative
• A flexible, team-minded approach - this is a collaborative environment with occasional peaks in workload
• Willingness to attend the office 1 day per week (minimum), with more time required during the first week and attendance at occasional team meetings (every 6 weeks)

Executive Assistant

This role will support the smooth day-to-day functioning of the CEO’s office, helping manage key processes, communications, and external relations. Key responsibilities include:

· Managing the CEO’s diary, inbox, travel and meeting logistics

· Preparing board papers, agendas, minutes, and reports

· Liaising with stakeholders and trustees

· Helping with financial admin tasks such as raising invoices and supplier forms

Communications & Helpline Assistant

This varied and rewarding role provides hands-on support to our helpline and external communications work. You’ll be helping our volunteers offer accurate and empathetic support to the public while also assisting with digital content, social media and outreach campaigns.

Key responsibilities include:

· Supporting helpline volunteer coordination, training and performance

· Helping develop and maintain helpline resources and records

· Creating and publishing content for our social media and website

· Supporting email marketing, digital analytics, and campaign promotion

· Assisting with press releases, stakeholder communications and events

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, has strong communication skills, and an interest in digital content and community engagement.

The Role

About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join the South East Rivers Trust's Finance and Operations Team.  We are a small dynamic team, sitting at the heart of the organisation. The role reports directly to the Finance Manager and will provide support in administering all financial controls and processing for the organisation.  The successful applicant will come from a financial background with a strong understanding of financial principles, an accounting qualification and proficiency in Excel.  They will have experience in bookkeeping, reconciling accounts as well as dealing with banking, grant applications and expenses. 

The role would suit an individual, who is approachable and organised, with excellent attention to detail, able to work on their own or as part of a team.  The role involves liaising and following up with all teams to ensure the data provided is accurate and timely, to support grant applications, payments and audit requirements.

To be successful, they will need to be able to multitask, be proactive and have excellent communication skills, following up and advising staff across all teams.  They will need to have a positive attitude, and willingness to assist the whole team with other administrative tasks as and when required.  This role is predominantly working from home, with at least one day per week, (on a Thursday), working in the office in Leatherhead.

This is a part time position, to include Monday and Thursday (this being our in office day).  There may be a requirement to pick up additional hours to support with busy periods.
