Core Responsibilities

1. Grant & trust applications

You will drive the research, development, and management of grant applications and trust funding. Your role involves identifying funding opportunities that align with Hong Kong Watch’s mission and preparing detailed proposals that secure essential resources for our projects.

2. Fundraising campaigns & donor engagement

In this responsibility, you will design and execute targeted fundraising campaigns and events. You will work to cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, trusts, and institutional funders, ensuring a consistent flow of financial support that underpins our advocacy and community work.

3. Coordination & communications

This responsibility centres on effective internal collaboration and external representation. You will coordinate with our communications teams to ensure consistent messaging, manage donor communications, and report on the impact of our fundraising efforts.

Key Tasks

• Research and application development:
  Identify suitable grant opportunities, trusts, and philanthropic funding sources both in the UK and internationally. You will draft, refine, and submit proposals that reflect Hong Kong Watch’s strategic priorities, ensuring compliance with each funder’s requirements.

• Campaign strategy and event coordination:
  Develop integrated fundraising campaigns in collaboration with our communications team. This includes planning virtual and in-person events, managing donor appreciation sessions, and ensuring that each campaign aligns with our overall mission and values.

• Donor relationship management:
  Build and nurture relationships with a diverse range of funders. This task involves regular communication, organising meetings and presentations, and providing clear, detailed impact reports that demonstrate the effectiveness of our initiatives.

• Internal collaboration and reporting:
  Work closely with the operations team to ensure that all fundraising efforts are fully aligned. You will attend monthly strategy meetings, coordinate updates, and produce comprehensive reports on campaign performance and donor engagement.

• Digital and social media integration:
  Collaborate with the communications team to create engaging online content that supports fundraising efforts. This includes drafting newsletters, managing social media updates, and developing digital materials that promote events and initiatives.

• Monitoring, evaluation, and strategic review:
  Continuously track key fundraising metrics and donor engagement levels. You will evaluate the success of fundraising initiatives, adjust strategies as needed, and prepare strategic reviews that inform future plans and objectives.

West Yorkshire Pathfinder Partnership (WYPP) is to be launched as a 12-month pilot, following successful programmes in other UK areas. Staying Put are proud to lead this partnership of 5 exceptional providers of domestic abuse services; Leeds Domestic Violence Service represented by Leeds Women’s Aid and Behind Closed Doors, WomenCentre, Pennine Domestic Abuse Partnership and Wakefield Domestic Abuse Service.

We are now looking to set up our team of dedicated and passionate Family Court IDVAs. There are vacancies in Bradford, Calderdale and Kirklees for this post, the salary will be the same across the partnership, however the terms and conditions may vary.

You will be employed by one of the above organisations and be based in one location, however there is the need for flexibility and expectation of travel across all areas, at times.

About the role

This role will play a crucial part in supporting individuals, families and children through the family court process as part of the Pathfinder programme. Working as part of a strong multi-agency team across the courts of West Yorkshire, you will ensure the voice of the survivor informs every stage of the process. Using a client-led and trauma-informed approach, this role provides high-quality advocacy support to survivors of domestic abuse.

• Various hours available – Between 15 hours or 22.5 hours (2 or 3 days) Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
• £27,898 – £28,898 FTE per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
• 12 month fixed-term contract initially. There is the possibility of extension, depending on successful outcomes of the pilot.

The role

As the breadth and volume of our fundraising activity has grown over the last couple of years, an opportunity has arisen for a detail orientated and enthusiastic individual to join our database team. Our dynamic fundraising department are preparing for an ambitious multimillion-pound campaign in support of a ground-breaking cancer centre on the site of the Royal Free Hospital. Responsible for attracting and retaining donors, and delivering an outstanding supporter experience, the fundraising department comprises two teams which work closely together to achieve our shared objectives:

- Our Public Fundraising team harnesses the support and energy of individuals and groups, helping them to give back in the way that works for them. This includes committed giving, in memory support, gifts in wills, and fundraising events and challenges. Our Philanthropy and Campaign teams builds relationships with individual philanthropists, trusts, foundations, and corporate organisations which give, or have potential to give, £10,000 to the charity each year. They lead major appeal activity for the charity, currently focused on our exciting cancer campaign which is due to launch in 2025.

Purpose of post

This is an exciting opportunity for Advocates to join and shape this service covering Inverclyde. Your role will support individuals with substance use disorders, ensuring they receive high-quality, person-centred care in line with Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT 8) standards. The role involves providing advocacy, support, and guidance to clients, helping them navigate their recovery journey with dignity and respect. Your role will require you to travel to locations such as clients’ homes, hospitals, care homes and within community settings across the area to meet with clients and professionals. How are staff supported to work remotely? 

VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community.

Via home visits, you will work with each tenant to agree a support plan to enable them to maintain their tenancy and move towards independent living.

You will build strong working relationships with local services to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting tenants, whilst at the same time developing and maintaining good working relationships with other local services and organisations that provide support services to tenants. 

You will complete and update records of interactions with tenants on the internal database and input data accurately onto monitoring spreadsheets. 

Experience of delivering a housing/tenancy management service, including arrears management, tenancy management (help with budgeting, managing bills and claiming the correct benefits), antisocial behaviour, safeguarding, repairs and health and safety, would be beneficial, but is not essential.

To succeed in the role, you will need excellent communication skills, be IT literate, and able to establish relationships based on trust with different people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead clinical supervision and management within the Speech and Language Therapy Team.

About You:

• Degree (or equivalent) in Speech & Language Therapy.
• Postgraduate qualification in a relevant area.
• Member of the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists with completion of NQP Goals and Competencies Framework.
• Current registration with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC).
• Evidence of relevant postgraduate training (e.g., AAC, dysphagia, TEACCH).
• Significant post-qualification experience in various clinical settings.
• Experience working with young people and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Conditions.
• Experience in providing clinical supervision.
• Experience in devising and delivering training and working in a multidisciplinary manner.

 Within this role some of your responsibilities will be: 

• Supporting professionals, including Social Workers, Police, Youth Justice Teams, Foster Carers and Residential Support Workers, to identify children exploited through modern slavery and refer them into the Service 
• Provide advice, guidance and information about child trafficking and initial safety planning to professionals through 1:1 case consultations or attendance at multi-agency meetings 
• Develop initial needs assessments and action plans 
• Support practitioners from partner agencies to meet the needs of children who have experienced trafficking and exploitation
• Manage a substantial caseload of young people supported through direct and indirect work, working within the requirements of service Key Performance Indicators and in line with Home Office Guidance.
• Support children through face-to-face contact and online platforms using creative approaches to ensure that children receive an excellent standard of specialist support within the boundaries of the role.
• Identify and respond to safeguarding, alerting managers to concerns and working with staff from partner agencies to deliver a robust safeguarding response.
