Working closely with colleagues across the charity, you will use insight, analysis and creativity to deliver excellent supporter experiences and maximise campaign performance. You understand how to combine data, insight and creativity to develop compelling fundraising activity across a range of channels, and you are motivated by achieving meaningful results that make a difference.
You are a confident and proactive project manager who can balance multiple priorities, manage budgets and suppliers, and keep complex campaigns on track. You are experienced at analysing performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and using evidence to inform future decisions, communicating clearly and effectively with a wide range of audiences.
Ultimately, you are passionate about delivering outstanding supporter experiences that can help Tŷ Hafan provide vital care and support to children with life-shortening conditions and their families across Wales.
Our employee benefits:
Ty Hafan’s ambition is that when a child’s life will be short, no family should have to live it on their own. Sadly, we know that thousands of families in Wales are struggling alone through the fear, exhaustion and uncertainty that comes with caring for a child whose life will be short. We believe that no family should have to live this on their own and we are determined to walk alongside every family through life, death and beyond.
At Tŷ Hafan we are experts at caring for children with life-shortening conditions and our services support families in our hospice, in community settings, local hospitals and in families’ homes. Our aim is to make sure that no one doing this is alone. Our colleagues, volunteers and supporters are crucial in the delivery of our ambition – we know that everyone plays a huge part in making sure that no family faces their child’s short life alone.
Our Vision: A Wales where every child with a life-shortening condition lives a fulfilling life, supported with the compassion and specialist care they and their family need.
Our Purpose: No family should have to face the unimaginable loss of their child alone. With children and families at the heart of all we do, we provide free care and support in our hospice and in the community, offering a lifeline throughout the child’s short life, at end of life, through bereavement and beyond.
Our Values: At Tŷ Hafan we make a difference by living our values: Demonstrating Compassion, Providing Excellent Service, Working Together and Taking Ownership.

Community Development Worker — Holtspur, Beaconsfield
Join Beaconsfield URC as our Community Development Worker and turn a newly refurbished building into a welcoming place in Holtspur.
About us
Beaconsfield United Reformed Church serves two very different communities. Beaconsfield itself is well-resourced, with an active church life. A short distance away, Holtspur tells a different story — isolation, cost-of-living pressure, and too few places for people to simply connect. We're investing in our Holtspur building to change that, and now we need someone to bring it to life.
The role
This is a rare chance to shape a role from the ground up. As our Community Development Worker, you won't be managing an established programme — you'll be building one. You'll get to know Holtspur street by street, person by person, and turn what you learn into activities that genuinely matter: community meals, bereavement support, family and children's groups, informal spaces where people feel they belong. You'll recruit and grow volunteers around you, and you'll help make our refurbished Holtspur building the welcoming hub it's meant to be.
Faith sits at the centre of this role. You'll work closely with our Minister and Eldership, and you'll have the confidence to create natural, unforced opportunities for people to explore Christian faith alongside the practical support you offer. This post carries an occupational requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 for the postholder to be a practising Christian.
What you'll be doing
What we're looking for
Experience of church-based or "fresh expressions" community work, working with isolated or marginalised groups, or coordinating volunteers would be a bonus — as would a driving licence.
The details
Safeguarding
This role involves working with children, young people and older adults. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and must comply with United Reformed Church safeguarding policies.
How to apply
Please send a CV along with a personal statement (max. two sides of A4) telling us about your experience building relationships and communities, how you'd go about understanding Holtspur's needs, your track record of working with others to create change, and what draws you to this role.
