We are looking for a dynamic individual to take on the day-to-day running of the Digital Champions project and network. Digital Champions are volunteers who inspire and motivate others to get online, while encouraging and supporting them to develop their digital skills and confidence. As the project continues to evolve, there will be an increased focus on Digital Champions placed in local health care settings across the borough. Digital Champions will operate at local community venues including Community Pharmacies, Phlebotomy clinics, and at community events, with a strong focus on NHS App promotion to Bexley residents. This is an opportunity to be at the centre of an exciting, innovative partnership project, working closely with the statutory and voluntary sector partners in taking the scheme into a new phase of development. Key Duties:
- To be the first point of contact for the existing network of Digital Champions in the borough, and support organisations to recruit, onboard and manage new Digital Champions.
- To directly manage a pool of Digital Champions under BVSC and lead on recruitment, onboarding, and training.
- To organise regular online and face-to-face meetings for Digital Champions.
- To develop and implement a communications plan that raises awareness of the Digital Champions Network in Bexley and of the challenges and opportunities digital inclusion presents.
- To explore new opportunities with partners and the sector more broadly in a way that aims to expand the digital champions project and create a more digitally inclusive culture for Bexley residents.
- To organise regular events, training and information sessions for Digital Champions based on needs.
- To collect data and write reports on the project for presentation to partnership committees and health and wellbeing boards.
- To represent Bexley Digital Champions at London-wide and national forums and conferences.
- Attend staff meetings, supervision and training as required.
- Identify, report, and monitor any safeguarding concerns in accordance with the latest local procedures relating to the appropriate service.
- To comply with, and share responsibility for ensuring the implementation of, BVSC policies and procedures and key legislation such as GDPR and Safeguarding.
- Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be assigned from time-to-time including travel throughout the borough to attend events, answer phone enquiries, occasionally on evenings/weekends, meet with volunteers and organisations.
- To support the Volunteer Centre on an adhoc basis with events, phone line queries and other general activities.
These are the normal duties which are required of the position; however, we do require that all staff be flexible and may be required to perform other duties to ensure the efficient running of services.
Please note that the base for this role is Engine House, Bexley, and will involve regular travel throughout the London Borough of Bexley.

Bexley Food Alliance Project Coordinator
The Bexley Food Alliance is a new network which was funded by the GLA to work towards taking pressure off the emergency food aid services and providing increased financial support to Bexley residents. This network has now expanded and aims to build a collaborative network of agencies that can increase fairer access to healthy, nutritious and culturally appropriate food, as well as any additional support residents might need. We are looking for a Project Coordinator to take over the day-to-day running of this network (see below for a brief description). This is a good opportunity for anyone who wants to take on a part-time, one-year project, perhaps as a stepping stone into something more significant, or perhaps you’re returning to work or changing careers. This is an opportunity to be at the start of an exciting, innovative partnership project, shaping a network and forming strong alliances with various agencies.
You will work closely with the VCS within Bexley to build the capacity and capabilities of local groups, provide partnership/networking opportunities that enable them to carry out their own objectives effectively and offer high quality services.
You will work flexibly, applying initiative to provide consistent and seamless support to organisations. You will support across a variety of charity development but focus on food partnerships and wraparound support to provide more holistic support.

Key Duties:
- Build and promote positive working relationships between VCS groups and organisations, statutory partners, commissioners and funders.
- Work with a wide range of delivery partners and other key stakeholders to maximise the use of community resources and ensure opportunities are maximised.
- Undertake community and outreach work – particularly to parts of the borough where the VCS voice is less heard.
- Encourage and support groups to seek funding from a range of sources including contracts and grants and provide the necessary support.
- Use our database to keep well maintained records of support given, funding achieved as a result of our support, case studies and outcomes, brief summary reports for monitoring and development purposes.
- To continuously engage in a mapping process, highlighting existing providers and supporting the start-up of new services.
- To organise and facilitate network meetings bringing organisations together to tackle food poverty and offer increased support with additional needs such as financial, physical and mental health wellbeing.
- To build relationships with various organisations, offering diverse support to increase collaboration, new offers and increased support.
- To work closely with the Local Authority to support policy change.
- To build relationships and network outside of the borough to bring in good practice and successful initiatives.
- To attend any relevant training and/or workshops that support the development of the network.

- Continue to develop relationships with the voluntary sector and local organisations to find out more about what services they currently offer, if they have scope/capacity to expand their offer and what support they might need.
- Encourage and support collaborative projects between organisations within Bexley.
- Research and keep up to date with current developments, grants and opportunities for voluntary organisations and charities relevant to Bexley.

- Continue to work on an agenda for regular, local networking sessions which you would facilitate (with support if needed).

About LMK
Good relationships shape our health and happiness, yet we are taught so little about them. LMK is a registered education charity on a mission to change that. We run workshops educating young people about healthy and unhealthy behaviours, so that they can avoid abuse and thrive in relationships.
Using film and guided discussions, our workshop leaders support children and young people in honest conversations about relationships and leave them better equipped to spot the early warning signs of abuse and inspire them to enjoy healthy, fulfilling relationships. We explore the 10 signs of healthy and unhealthy relationships and include practical lessons young people want to learn about (like consent) and practice scenarios in a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment.
LMK is a learning organisation and prides itself in supporting leaders to develop their skills. We offer training and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities, as well as peer-to-peer learning and reflective practice sessions.
Job Description
LMK is looking for passionate and organised educators (LMK Leaders) to run community workshops, aimed at young people aged between 11 and 24. Through engaging, relatable, workshops you will help young people identify signs of healthy and unhealthy relationship behaviours, provide strategies for them to recognise the early warning signs of abuse and give them tools to keep themselves and their friends safe.
The minimum hours required per workshop is 3 hrs. This includes arriving 30 minutes before delivery, 1.5 to 2 hrs delivery and then remaining back 10 minutes and being accessible to young people who would like further information or a one-to-one conversation, surrounding the subject of relationships.
There is also 30 minutes admin, which is usually completed off-site, such as inputting student surveys and a Leader survey.
Responsibilities

Always adhere to LMK and partner safeguarding practices and procedures.

Respond to comms (emails/WhatsApp) sent out by LMK core team members, in a timely manner, to support planning and organising of sessions.

Meet with co-facilitators to carry out pre-session planning, minimum two working days before delivery.

Plan and deliver interactive LMK workshops in educational, sports and community settings in line with LMK delivery style and ethos.

Use your experience and knowledge of the issues affecting young people to tailor the workshops accordingly.

Ensure all youth participants and the adults in school/community organisations who attend a LMK workshop complete the post session feedback surveys.

Complete reflective post session Leader surveys to support practice and programme development, after each workshop.

Debrief with LMK’s Programme Manager and provide ongoing feedback about your sessions, through LMK’s reflective practice processes.

Undertake relevant training associated with LMK’s work including but not restricted to child protection, safeguarding, violence against women and girls (VAWG).

Continue to learn about and develop your skills on the issues affecting young people’s relationships including domestic violence, abuse, adverse childhood experiences, trauma informed practice, gang culture and grooming, mental health, sexual exploitation, consent, sharing of nudes /sexting, bullying in person and online, tech and online safety, pornography.

Provide feedback and co-design training and educational resources on issues affecting young people and their relationships, including opportunities to share your knowledge and expertise at peer-to-peer learning sessions.

Attend termly virtual Leader huddles to remain connected to peers and organisational values, mission, and purpose.

Contribute towards and keep up to date with LMK internal/external communications platforms, such as LMK Newsletters and social media.

Engage with LMK’s Youth Advisory Board Members, if and when invited to do so.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Extensive experience of teaching or working with young people (9 to 24 yrs old) in an educational, sports or community setting.

Minimum 2 years’ experience co-designing, delivering and evaluating group sessions, consisting of minimum, of 12 and maximum of 30 participants.

Experience or co-designing session plans and co-facilitating with others; able to collaborate equally with others.

A strong commitment to young people and knowledge and understanding of issues affecting their relationships.
