About the role
As Events Manager, you’ll lead Birmingham Hospice’s events programme end-to-end, combining strategic planning with hands-on delivery. You’ll work closely with the Senior Fundraising Project Manager to shape an ambitious events programme that strengthens Birmingham Hospice’s brand while delivering real financial impact.
You will:
- Act as the events lead within the Income Generation team, sharing insight and supporting colleagues across the charity
- Lead the development and delivery of the annual events plan, creating a dynamic, costeffective programme that inspires supporters and drives income
- Line manage two Events Officers, providing regular 1:1s, development support and inspirational leadership
- Manage a varied portfolio including mass participation, third-party challenges, adrenaline events and special events
- Deliver against agreed income and expenditure budgets, contributing to an overall events income target of around £250k, including a £50k headline event
- Track income and expenditure day-to-day, produce post-event evaluations, and use learning to continuously improve future activity
- Identify new growth opportunities, using market insight and sector trends to expand participation and reach new audiences
- Build strong internal relationships across clinical, retail and corporate teams to promote events and maximise engagement
- Ensure all events meet high standards of health & safety, compliance and supporter care
- Oversee volunteers, apprentices and placements, ensuring a positive and professional experience for everyone involved
About you
You’ll be a confident, motivated events professional with charity sector experience and a strong track record of delivering successful fundraising events. You’ll bring:
- Proven experience delivering fundraising events, ideally including mass participation and third-party challenges
- Experience working in the charity sector
- Experience of line managing one or two staff, with a supportive, confident leadership style
- Strong event delivery skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience managing budgets and contributing to income targets
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a collaborative approach
- A proactive mindset, keen to test new ideas and grow audiences
- Emotional intelligence and resilience, with sensitivity to the nature of hospice work
Employee benefits
The role is Birmingham-based, primarily at Selly Park, with regular working from Erdington. The team typically spends at least two days per week onsite, alongside event delivery. Hybrid working is available but not contractually formalised, and compressed hours are supported. Please ask if you have any questions around flexible working.

About the role
In this Senior Marketing Officer role with the Activation Team, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of the Press Inserts and Door Drop campaigns. You will be supporting the Senior Marketing Manager and taking direct responsibility in the exploration and delivery of new campaigns, projects and channels. The role will also include support in the delivery of the DRTV and Brand programmes as well as supporting with ad hoc team requirements.

In this role, you will:
- Work closely with multiple internal and external teams, creative and media agencies and printers. Manage key agency relationships, including liaising with account managers to deliver campaigns and projects.

- Work with the Insight Team and creative agencies to manage and deliver audience focussed communications.
- Support the Senior Marketing Manager (Supporter Activation) to prepare annual plans and budgets and manage monthly cost monitoring and invoice processing.
- Collaborate with relevant colleagues in other departments to identify and implement new cross-working opportunities

Requirements
To be successful, you will need:
- Proven experience in a successful direct marketing, fundraising, supporter activation and/or supporter engagement and/or customer marketing role
- Experience working in a project managing role, in particular leading or supporting on the delivery of complex campaigns with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to work flexibly and independently, to manage varying competing priorities and meet strict deadlines with often changing priorities
Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:
- Experience of project managing direct marketing campaigns from start to finish across a range of channels, including print, telemarketing and digital.
- Experience of presenting to and project managing internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience of working in the voluntary/fundraising sector
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and being able to work to short deadlines

Job Purpose
The Marketing and Campaigns Manager is responsible for the delivery and implementation of the company’s marketing, campaigns and district event activity. You will lead on the planning and delivery of integrated marketing and engagement strategies and brand activations that enhance visibility, support our five-year business plan and strengthen stakeholder relationships. This role will require creativity, organisation, collaboration and a strong ability to deliver results.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Campaigns, Content Creation and Management
- Schedule and manage the annual marketing calendar in line with company objectives.

Event Planning and Delivery

This marketing role will pay up to £40k, with two days a week in their central London office, working there Tuesdays and Thursdays.

This is a brand new leadership role at a pivotal moment for the Greyhound Trust.
We’re creating a new team, with a new remit, to take on a new challenge: driving our work across brand, income generation, marketing, communications and engagement so that more greyhounds can be supported, homed and championed.
As Head of Marketing, Communications and Income Generation, you’ll build and lead a compact, hands-on, multi-disciplinary team, bringing together specialist skills and embedding genuinely integrated, collaborative ways of working. This role will suit someone who enjoys shaping teams as much as shaping strategy — and who is excited by the opportunity to create something from the ground up.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you’ll be a key member of the senior management team, contributing to the organisation’s strategic development, long-term planning and operational effectiveness. You’ll work as part of a highly motivated, close-knit leadership group based at the National Greyhound Centre in Horley, Surrey, where collaboration, mutual support and shared accountability really matter.
Alongside leading the Trust’s brand, marketing and income generation activity, you will also develop and manage our wholly owned trading subsidiary, Greyhound Events Ltd — ensuring it grows sustainably and plays a meaningful role in both income generation and supporter engagement. You’ll see events not just as fundraisers, but as powerful opportunities to build relationships, tell our story and bring new audiences closer to our cause.
You’ll be responsible for creating and delivering an integrated brand, marketing and income generation strategy, grounded in audience insight and sector best practice, and flexible enough to evolve as we grow. From individual giving and digital campaigns to partnerships, events and retail, you’ll oversee a diverse income portfolio while ensuring supporters and volunteers have a consistently positive experience with the Greyhound Trust.

We are looking for ambitious and strategic Development Manager – Corporate and Philanthropy to lead the growth of our corporate fundraising, build high-value partnerships, and work with our network of senior supporters to unlock transformational opportunities.
With a strong foundation of mid-level corporate partners (typically £5k-£25k) and a skilled Senior Officer in place to manage and grow those relationships, you’ll be free to focus on securing new, higher-value partnerships and support.
The Role:

Key responsibilities:
· Research, Identify and approach new corporate prospects, building a strong pipeline of potential six-figure partners
· Lead on creating bespoke, compelling pitch decks and proposals, working with the communications and Marketing Team to ensure quality and impact.
· Deliver high-level presentations and pitches to senior stakeholders across a range of industries.
· Work with the Director of Fundraising to identify and engage major donors and key contacts who can help unlock introductions and strategic support
· Manage Senior Officer who leads on existing mid-level corporate partnerships.
· Support the growth of the mid-level portfolio and ensure excellent stewardship and reporting for all corporate partners.
· Collaborate with marketing, communications, and service delivery teams to ensure partnerships are meaningful, on-brand, and mutually beneficial.
· Monitor income and pipeline progress, ensuring accurate forecasting and tracking.
What we’re looking for:
· A track record of securing new business or corporate partnerships, ideally in a fundraising CSR setting
· Confident writing and presenting skills, with experience creating professional pitch decks and delivering high-level presentations
· A strategic thinker who can spot opportunities, plan a compelling approach, and close the deal
· Experience collaborating across teams (e.g. Marketing design, service delivery) to shape proposals and deliver joint objectives
· A strong relationship-builder with the credibility to work with senior executives, philanthropists and decision-makers
· Organised, self-starting and passionate about helping families when they need it most
· Line management experience desirable, but not essential
