You’ll lead projects end‑to‑end – from early concept and funding through to mobilisation, delivery, evaluation and legacy – ensuring programmes are well governed, well delivered and genuinely impactful.

This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with colleagues across Partnerships & Communities, Group Projects, Operations, Support Services and external organisations.

• ​Proven experience leading complex projects end‑to‑end in multi‑stakeholder environments
• ​A strong understanding of project governance, assurance, risk management and portfolio delivery
• ​Experience working with partners, community organisations or suppliers, building trusted, productive relationships
• ​Confidence managing budgets, financial planning and value‑for‑money decisions within projects
• ​Excellent communication skills – able to translate complex information into clear, engaging messages for varied audiences
• ​Experience using project management tools and digital reporting platforms (e.g. MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Visio or similar)
• ​A recognised project management qualification (PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent) or equivalent experience

As Centre Fundraising Manager you will develop and implement a centre specific fundraising plan to raise income from the community through a variety of fundraising sources.  

You will be responsible for effectively and autonomously managing the full portfolio of activity relating to the centre and to manage complex networks and relationships which have a wider national focus.  

You will also be responsible for fundraising across a range of income streams including businesses, individuals, community groups, volunteers and media contacts.  

There will be a requirement to work irregular hours as well as occasional overnight stays and UK travel.

What the job involves 

This is a senior role in our Partnerships team, heading up our newly formed Account Development function and playing a key part in transforming how we grow income from existing corporate partnerships.

You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of high‑value, complex partnerships, many of which are moving from lower‑value arrangements into higher impact, mutually beneficial multi‑year partnerships as part of our longer‑term growth strategy. This is not a “steady state” account management role – it’s about developing, expanding and unlocking untapped potential in relationships.

In practice, this means you’ll: 

• Lead the delivery and growth of a portfolio of major corporate partnerships, ensuring campaigns are well‑executed and partnerships are delivering real value, income and impact.

• Drive partner extensions, expansions and upsell opportunities, turning successful partnerships into longer‑term, purpose‑driven collaborations.

• Shift relationships from transactional management to strategic account development, spotting opportunities, building networks and proactively shaping future activity.

• Work closely with senior stakeholders internally and externally, ensuring partner priorities align with Prostate Cancer UK’s mission, brand and strategic goals.

• Lead, support and develop a team of Account Development specialists, embedding a confident, insight‑led and high‑performance culture.

• Play an active role in shaping how we go to market, helping define what great account development looks like as we evolve our partnerships approach.

You’ll lead our business development strategy for corporate partnerships, focusing on securing high-value, purpose-driven relationships with long-term potential (typically 6–8 figure), and building a robust pipeline to deliver sustainable income growth. 

• Own and deliver the business development plan, targeting major prospects and flagship partnerships with transformational potential. 

• Identify, prioritise and cultivate opportunities across key sectors (including sport and health), shifting activity from short-term, transactional asks to insight-led, multi-year partnerships. 

• Shape and test compelling funding propositions, working with internal experts (including Communications, Black Health Equity, Research, Health Services, and Equity & Improvement) to build integrated partnership offers. 

• Lead proposal development end-to-end: briefing colleagues, coordinating inputs, writing and reviewing pitches, and ensuring submissions are high quality, compelling and on time. 

• Take overall accountability for the business development pipeline: keeping it strategically aligned, properly valued, actively progressed and accurately forecast. 

• Improve performance through better pipeline discipline: growing value and volume at each stage, increasing conversion, and reducing lead times from opportunity identification to proposal submission. 

• Line manage and develop a team of three experienced Business Development Managers (including sector/specialist roles), setting clear objectives and coaching for confident, high-performance delivery. 

• Lead and support negotiations with senior stakeholders, ensuring new partnerships protect and enhance our brand, values and reputation. 

• Work closely with partnership colleagues to transition newly secured partners into account development so relationships are onboarded smoothly and set up to scale. 

What we want from you 

You’re a strategic, commercially minded new business leader who can spot and shape big opportunities, influence at senior levels, and convert complex partnership conversations into high-value, multi-year income. 

• Significant experience securing new, high-value corporate partnerships (typically 6–8 figure) in a commercial organisation, charity and/or agency environment. 

• A strong track record of delivering income through new business acquisition, with credible examples of taking prospects from first contact through to signed agreement. 

• Confidence developing high-value propositions and partnership packages that work for both the organisation and the partner. 

• Excellent pipeline management skills, with experience improving conversion rates, forecasting and proposal turnaround times. 

• Strong influencing and negotiation skills, comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and navigating complex internal decision-making. 

• Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to coach, set clear expectations and build a high-performing specialist team. 

• A values-led approach and commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, with the judgement to ensure partnerships align with and strengthen our brand. 

• Desirable: experience in sport, health, brand-led or ESG-focused partnerships, and/or developing transformational 7–8 figure partnerships.

Scottish Opera is Scotland’s national opera company and the country’s largest performing arts organisation. Role and responsibilities:

New business development

• Research, identify, and secure new business and corporate partnerships, managing the end-to-end process from pitch to contract.
• Set up and attend new business meetings, supporting the development of tenders and proposals.
• Manage and track projects through existing CRM systems keeping accurate records and sharing knowledge across teams.
• Identify opportunities to diversify our offers, develop client relationships and maximise our value.

Relationship management

• Lead on the development and management of agreements with partners.
• Act as the main point of contact for existing partners, nurturing relationships to maximise impact and income.
• Work across the organisation to identify opportunities to collaborate and scale our offers.

Strategic planning and delivery

• Cultivate and manage a portfolio of corporate partners to foster long-term partnerships, focusing on delivering excellent customer service and maximising income.
• Regularly review our pipeline and support the team to generate new leads across membership and education.
• Develop partnership strategies and annual plans, ensuring alignment with the charity’s goals.
• Monitor and evaluate new business activity and provide regular updates to key internal teams.
• Monitor competitor activities to identify any gaps or opportunities for funding.

Marketing and systems

• Collaborate with the Policy and Communications teams on marketing initiatives, social media, blogs, news items, and other communications to raise the profile of our work.
• Work with the Membership & Educational Services team on the CRM system, enhancing our customer engagement and account management processes.

About you

We are look for a proactive relationship developer. You might come from charity fundraising, corporate partnerships, business development, sales, or another relationship-led income role. What matters most is your ability to build trust, communicate impact, and turn relationships into sustainable support.

• Experience of fundraising or sales in the public sector or charitable organisations.
• Experience of building strong relationships with partners, funders, and commissioners.
• Experience of working across all levels of seniority and across different departments. 
• Knowledge of CRM systems such as Dynamics or Salesforce.

Working on our Health Charity Partnership (HCP) with counterparts at the British Heart Foundation, and Cancer Research UK, this award winning, UK-wide partnership aims to improve the health of the nation using the retailer’s reach and influence.

You will be responsible for leading and delivering income generation, project managing strategic activities, and delivering against shared and charity specific goals. You will also contribute to the development and success of the Account Management Team, and support cross team-projects and take on additional tasks as required.

This role will also see you line manage a Partnership Officer (Account Management) who supports on the delivery of the Tesco Partnership.

Role description:

This role works very closely with colleagues across multiple internal teams including our Clinical Team (working with a Health Lead), our Marketing team (including Social Media Manager, Senior Marketing Manager, and Brand and Creative colleagues) and our Policy Team. This role will need to be well networked across teams including Nations and Regions teams and Strategy and Planning.

Externally, this role will work closely with peers at the British Heart Foundation, and Cancer Research UK. The role will also work with colleagues at Tesco, which will also include their PR and communications agencies.

You will also play an active role in driving and supporting best practice across the team and charity and will also contribute to cross-team projects and other tasks as required.

The ideal candidate:

The ideal candidate will have account management experience with a track record of delivering six and seven-figure strategic partnerships either within a charity or corporate setting. Good time management and organisational skills are required to manage a busy and diverse workload. You’ll need strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and negotiate effectively with a range of stakeholders at all levels of seniority. Using your excellent communication skills, you will be able to convey ideas succinctly and persuasively to create impactful proposals and other communications.

You’ll have good understanding of commercial principles, understand what drives businesses, and how to lead and deliver multi-stream income generation that are mutually beneficial through partnership.  You’ll have a passion for identifying new financial and non-financial opportunities and be proactive in your approach to seeking these out. Having a collaborative approach to work is vital in this role, so you’ll build excellent relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders, operating with trust, respect, and transparency.

Strategic Partnership Development Manager

As our proactive and driven Strategic Partnership Development Manager you will lead partnership development for a range of priority corporate sectors - working closely with global partnerships, programmes and policy colleagues - to secure new multi-year partnerships and drive sustainable change.

In this role, you will:

• Lead on partnership development for strategically important sectors including food and beverage and agriculture, as well as other sectors to be determined. Effectively utilising your commercial awareness and corporate partnerships expertise to present WaterAid’s partnerships offering and value-add externally to these industries.
• Develop and manage a pipeline of potential high value, annual and multi-year new business opportunities, ensuring there is sufficient lead generation, active movement and conversion to secure annual and multi-year 6-figure+ partnerships.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the WaterAid federation including partnerships, communications, programmes and advocacy to identify and develop high-quality propositions that meet both partner and WaterAid needs.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

• Proven experience in generating six-figure strategic, new business partnerships from cold in the charity sector or in a commercial setting and proven ability to meet and exceed personal targets.

The South East Gambling Harms Partnership is a consortium of regional Citizens Advice offices that include: Wokingham, Reading, West Berkshire and East Berkshire offices in Berkshire and Hart, Rushmore, Basingstoke and Tadley in North Hampshire. This is a high-profile initiative funded by the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID) to tackle gambling harms through the collaboration of the South East Gambling Harms Partnership. 

The Role

We are looking for a strategically-minded Regional Service Manager to lead the South East Gambling Harms Partnership. You will be the architect of our strategic engagement, building trusted partnerships with NHS commissioners and local authorities to ensure gambling harms are a priority in local health responses. You will lead a dedicated team of Training Leads and Prevention Workers, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation, building strong links with VCSE partners and the wider community. 

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership & Influence: Act as the lead advocate for the partnership, engaging with NHS and Local Authority commissioners to ensure gambling harm prevention is embedded into local health strategies and regional policies.

The Role 

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Policy and Public Affairs Manager to join our Research, Policy and Impact team. 

Supporting the Head of Cancer Insight, you will deliver, and keep under review the policy and public affairs strategy, including influencing at a local, regional, and national level, with the aim of helping the charity achieve its strategy and bringing benefit to the people of Yorkshire. You will have responsibility for the development of evidence-based policy reports and recommendations that can be used to influence a variety of audiences and project manage the development, delivery and evaluation of public affairs campaigns and events. As Policy and Public Affairs Manager, you will also act as a source of expertise across the organisation and externally on key policy areas and the wider policy environment.

Specifically, you will: 

Influencing 

• Support the further development, refinement and delivery of the charity’s policy and public affairsstrategy and impact evaluation process, to support the wider delivert of the charity’s strategic aims. 

• Oversee the development of insightful written materials and reports to aid influencing. 

• Lead the charity’s response to regional and national consultations relevant to cancer in Yorkshire, making a robust and evidence-based case for the charity’s position.

• Oversee the continued growth of the charity’s political monitoring work and ensure the effective pursuit of every opportunity offered. 

• Engage with regional and national decision makers to influence policy-making for the benefit of people in Yorkshire and beyond. 

• Build and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders across Yorkshire and beyond (such as DHSC, NHSE, Integrated Care Boards, Cancer Alliances, national policy groups, and other charities, to influence change based on policy recommendations.

• Evaluate the impact of policy and public affairs activity, with delivery of clear examples of external influencing.

Policy development 

• Ensure the continued development of the policy production and dissemination process, including the policy development pathway, internal/external dissemination and impact evaluation. 

• Lead the research, production and dissemination of high quality, evidence-based cancer-related policies and the strategic development of key policy recommendations. 

• Oversee regular updates of existing policies and position statements, ensuring they are in line with the latest evidence. 

• Ensure external insight is built into policies and policy development, such as gaining views from the Patient and Public Involvement Community, the inclusion of external patient and public contributors and endorsements from clinical and academic experts. 

• Oversee work with relevant internal teams to create key messages for a range of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring these are in line with the latest evidence and are used correctly, and provide expert commentary on media stories. 

• Act as a source of expertise on the charity’s cancer-related policies and position statements, both internally and externally. Undertake media interviews as required to communicate key messages with the public.

Campaigns and Events 

• Project manage the development, delivery and evaluation of public affairs campaigns, in collaboration with the Brand and Relationships team where relevant, manage relationships with third parties to support campaign delivery where required. 

• Lead the outreach and delivery of influencing events, including visits to charity-funded projects and party conference activity. 

• Further develop and deliver a strategy for growing and maintaining a handraiser supporter base, to enhance campaigns activity. 

 
About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need: 

• To have a degree, preferably in a relevant subject area, for example public policy, public health, scientific, medical etc. 

• To have significantl experience of writing influencing materials such as briefings, letters, blogs, campaign materials.

• To have substantial experience supporting the implementation of high impact public affairs strategies that are designed to influence.

• To have experience of evaluating campaigns and assessing the impact of policy and public affairs activities. 

• To have excellent public affairs experience including understanding of local, regional and national government, the current health policy landscape as well as knowledge of UK parliamentary processes along with a proven track-record of engaging politically to make change happen.

• To have substantial experience of developing evidence-based policies for a health focused organisation.

• To have substantial experience of communicating health policy positions to a variety of audiences including for influencing purposes.

• To have a good understanding of the health care system in England. 

• To be a strategic thinker with strong analytical, judgement and decision-making skills.

• To be able to sift out the essential elements from a mass of complex information, integrate and synthesise ideas, and present information to others in an accessible way.

• To have a pro-active and creative approach to policy work with an ability to identify and use external opportunities and a desire to succeed.

• To have excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills with the ability to interpret complex information and communicate this to a range of audiences so it is clear and accessible.

• To have excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise work, handle conflicting demands and meet tight deadlines with exceptional levels of accuracy maintained.

• To have strong management and leadership skills, with the ability to coach team members to encourage continued development and learning. 

• To have strong networking, influencing and relationship management skills, with the ability to inspire and influence others, as well as the confidence and personal authority to work with external organisations.
