Job description

VOLUNTEER GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Shape the Visual Identity of Urban Youth

Urban Youth — Your City, Your Vibe.

Urban Youth is a bold new grassroots youth work charity based in inner London. We aim to create vibrant, screen‑free spaces where young people connect with inspiring adult role models, build confidence, develop life skills, and discover who they can become.

We’re building something powerful — and we need a visual identity that matches our mission.

The Role

We’re looking for a talented, experienced Volunteer Graphic Designer to create the official logo, brand identity, and branding guidelines for Urban Youth. This is a chance to shape the look, feel, and emotional heartbeat of a charity that will impact young people for years to come.

You’ll work closely with our founder and leadership team to craft a brand that reflects our values: Empowerment. Belonging. Authenticity. Creativity. Respect. Courage.

What You’ll Do

  • Design a bold, modern, youth‑focused logo for Urban Youth.

  • Develop a complete brand identity system (colours, typography, visual language).

  • Produce a clear, professional brand guidelines document.

  • Create assets that feel vibrant, inclusive, and rooted in inner‑London culture.

  • Ensure the brand works across digital, print, uniforms, and social media.

  • Collaborate with leadership to refine concepts and ensure emotional resonance.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating brand identity and logo design.

  • Experience creating brand guidelines.

  • Ability to translate values and mission into visual storytelling.

  • Confidence working independently and iterating with feedback.

  • Passion for youth empowerment, community, and social impact.

  • A designer who cares about meaning, not just aesthetics.

What You’ll Gain

  • A flagship portfolio project with real-world impact.

  • The chance to define the identity of a new youth movement.

  • Creative freedom within a values‑driven, supportive team.

  • The satisfaction of building something that helps young people feel seen, valued, and inspired.

Time Commitment

Flexible — we’ll work around your schedule. The role is remote-friendly, with optional in‑person collaboration in London.
