2) Maintain strong financial system controls and processes including: purchase ledger, coding and input of invoices and expenses, preparing and implementing timely payments; maintenance and reconciliation of customer records and credit control; maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger records to Trial Balance including nominal ledger journals
3) Ensuring that the administration of banking processes including preparation of BACS and cheque payments and reconciliation of DBF bank accounts are transacted effectively and safely
4) Ensure that appropriate arrangements are put in place for effective and efficient delivery of DBF payroll and any payroll bureau services, such as Derby Cathedral
5) Liaise with Finance, Stipend and Pension board colleagues at the NCI’s, to ensure that transactions are carried out in an efficient and timely manner
6) Maintain the database of funds held by the DBF as custodian trustee

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

Specific responsibilities
An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:
- Work effectively with others to develop funding proposals for CSE projects.
- Lead the response to competitive Invitations to Tender, which require a specific and timely response to a client’s brief and the ability to highlight and sell relevant CSE strengths and expertise.
- Support our development process by giving direction, supervision, and support to all contributing staff.
- Work with delivery teams and colleagues to set project budgets, costing work accurately using CSE’s development and financial tools.
- Ensure effective set up of new projects and facilitate the handover when a project bid has a successful outcome.
- Ensure appropriate quality checks are carried out on all proposals.

Key responsibilities

7. Data integrity
· Keep comprehensive records of all trust and grant fundraising activities and be able to report the impact to funders and stakeholders via various methods.
· Hold high levels of data integrity and be a keen supporter of using technology to support efficiency, accuracy, and accountability.
· Help to implement, develop, and then maintain the charity’s CRM system (Salesforce) ensuring all activity is inputted accurately and efficiently and that you contribute towards its continuous improvement.
· Analyse data to identify trends and opportunities.

As the International Finance Manager, you will be working in collaboration with the Director of Finance and will manage the finance functions, oversee financial management of the charity and its international subsidiary. As the International Finance Manager, you will be responsible for specific financial management areas such as:
- Development, implementation and ongoing oversight of financial policies, practices, processes, and systems.
- Production of budget and quarterly management accounts.
- Management of external audit and production of consolidated year end statutory accounts.
- Relationship management with banks, HMRC and outsourced financial services providers.
- Finance support on budgeting and reporting to members, staff, and the Leadership Team (LT).
- Support the Director of Finance in providing financial analysis & reporting to the Board, Committee and LT.
- In addition, the International Finance Manager is responsible for providing a financial and management accounting oversight role a subsidiary partner, managing the relationship with outsourced bookkeepers, banks, and other service providers.
- The International Finance Manager undertakes the financial due diligence review of new and existing members in accordance with charities Due Diligence Framework.
This International Finance Manager role offers an opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to work fully remote or for a senior finance specialist to progress their career, whilst working for a fantastic International Charity. To be successful in this role, you will have worked within the charity sector and ideally have gained international currency transactions or be working for an international charity. Experience, knowledge, and skills required:
- Strong practical experience working in a financial or management accounting role, within the charity sector, with knowledge of relevant charity accounting standards and regulations.
- Experience of restricted fund project accounting and donor reporting
- Experience of foreign currency transactions
- Experience and knowledge of control systems and processes, with a clear understanding of their underlying purpose.
- Producing work that clearly summarizes and analyses financial performance and identifies key issues with proposed actions.
- Practical experience of annual accounts preparation, reconciliations and double-entry bookkeeping.

Role description
As Commercial Sales & Events Manager you’ll take the lead in maximising venue hire and events income to support the organisation’s charitable aims. You’ll possess the skills and experience to organise and deliver weddings, corporate events and venue hires and work with our outsourced caterers and other contractors to ensure a first-class customer experience. You’ll also be working with our outsourced film contractors to secure bookings for filming and photo shoots across the Estate. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are a key part of the role, as you’ll be liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers and staff, as is the ability to develop new business and leads. In addition, you’ll need excellent project management skills and the ability to develop and manage budgets. The Corporate Partnerships Manager for our Fundraising team will focus and lead on:
- Managing your own portfolio of corporate partnerships
- Supporting the growth of our consultancy work stream
- Developing new corporate fundraising products and events
You will:
- Account manage and build strong relationships with a portfolio of Corporate Partners with current value of four and five figures
- Manage a range of consultancy relationships from initial enquiry to project completion, working with colleagues across the charity

Main purpose of job:

Working Arrangements and Travel Requirements
Rainforest Trust UK staff work remotely and you will be expected to work primarily from home with an excellent internet connection. You may be based anywhere in the UK but you will be expected to work from a shared team space in London once a month, and your donor meetings/events are most likely to take place there.
The postholder will be required to host networking events and attend some online meetings with our partners in the U.S so some (early) evening working is required. We are also flexible as to how many hours this postholder works, and will consider a 3-5 day per week arrangement, depending on experience.
