About the Minster Centre

The Minster Centre is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee that provides training in psychotherapy and counselling and an affordable therapy service.

It was founded in 1978 as the first Integrative psychotherapy and counselling training in the UK and is a leading psychotherapy training institution. Now based in Queens Park, NW London, it runs training ranging from open access introductory courses to post-graduate degrees validated by Middlesex University. The Minster Centre caters for around 300 diploma and MA students each year. It is registered with the Office for Students.

The Minster Centre Psychotherapy & Counselling Service (MCPCS) also provides a safe, affordable and professional counselling service to people over the age of 18 who are experiencing a range of difficulties. The service is provided by senior trainees who are in the process of completing their therapy training.

Role purpose

The Minster Centre is seeking to develop and further professionalise its operations and is recruiting to a new Head of Finance role. This is a part-time, flexible role for two days per week in the first instance. Some time in the office will be needed to work alongside other staff and key stakeholders – this can be managed flexibly alongside working from home. The role would therefore suit someone who wants to balance an interesting and senior role alongside other responsibilities or interests.

The Head of Finance will oversee the financial operations of the charity, owning and ensuring compliance to financial policies and procedures. You will provide strategic financial guidance to the Management Committee and contribute to the delivery of the charity’s financial strategies.

Early priorities will be:

• A review of existing financial policies and procedures to support the ongoing effective running of the charity.
• Working with the Lead team to ensure the charity’s finances are sustainable long-term

Terms and conditions

Salary: Pro rata, £55,000 FTE

Hours: 14 hours per week in the first instance, hybrid working. Exact hours open to negotiation. Some flexibility will be required to attend key meetings.

Contract: Fixed term appointment to end July 2028, in the first instance.

The SHEQ Officer is responsible for overseeing, implementing and managing health, safety, environment and quality management systems to ensure a safe, compliant, sustainable and efficient working environment. Health & Safety:

The ideal candidate

• Relevant Health and Safety qualification
• Relevant qualifications in Environmental, Quality and Wellbeing practices, including audits.
• Educated to a degree level (or equivalent substantial industry experience).

Health & Safety Experience:

• Proven experience in health and safety management, including developing and implementing safety policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with safety legislation, regulations, and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001).

Environmental Management Experience:

Sense has a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our Fundraising team as our Statutory Fundraising Manager. This is a 6 month fixed term, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, based between home and our offices in Kings Cross, London.

About Us

The Greater Manchester Women’s Support Alliance (GMWSA) was established in 2016 by seven organisations who provide support services to women across all ten boroughs in Greater Manchester (GM) who may be vulnerable or have unmet support needs.

We came together as the GMWSA in order to ensure that our collective voice is heard by policy makers and commissioners of services. We represent the interests of our beneficiaries and service users, we share good practice and experience and ensure that no service operates in isolation. GMWSA is now formed of nine Member and Associate Member women’s centres having a presence in each of the 10 local authority areas across GM all of whom are collectively funded to deliver support services across GM to women either involved in the Criminal Justice System, or whose vulnerability and marginalisation leaves them at risk of offending, but all also have individual funding streams to ensure their provision reaches every woman in need of support.

Alliance members offer a full range of services to women who need support around issues such as domestic abuse, housing, mental health, substance misuse, education, employment, training, and confidence/self-esteem, all delivered with a trauma responsive approach.

Purpose of the Role 

We are looking for a Chief Executive Officer to join GMWSA to transform the Alliance to meet future challenges around function and funding.

You will shape and implement the strategic direction of the Alliance, ensure the smooth running of the charity, provide leadership to staff, support the Board of Trustees to fulfil its strategic and governance duties and ensure the delivery of grants and contracts.

The Programme Operations Manger is a new position at the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust. We are looking for someone who can lead and coordinate expert teams across two different work programmes, our Hebridean Whale Centre and whale research boat, Silurian.

Based in Tobermory the role includes responsibility for managing the charity’s retail operation and taking the lead on fundraising for the Centre and boat activities. Therefore, proven successful experience of charitable fundraising and knowledge of gift shop/charity retail activities would be an advantage.

The ability to ensure the effective co-ordination and delivery of the charity’s boat and centre operations, on time and within budget, as well as being able to work effectively with the wider team of staff, trustees, volunteers, and external contractors is central to all tasks.

A genuine interest in cetaceans and marine conservation is essential and an understanding of the workings of the third sector would be an advantage.

This is a varied role which differs from season to season and day to day. One day you might be debriefing with our expedition crew aboard our research vessel, the next developing new retail partnerships and promoting the Hebridean Whale Centre.

The role is based in Tobermory on the Isle of Mull which is also where the charity's office, Centre and boat mooring are located. The Programme Operations Manager will work from the office in Tobermory and remotely from home as required to deliver the objectives of the role.

About the role
Over the next five years, we’re embarking on an ambitious strategy to grow our fundraising income from around £1 million to £1.7 million. Alongside this, we’re investing significantly from our endowment to expand our campaigning, services, digital capabilities, and core infrastructure.

To help drive fundraising, we’re creating a new senior role: Supporter and Community Engagement Lead. This role will lead our supporter-led fundraising—covering regular giving, digital fundraising campaigns, community fundraising, and legacies—with a focus on expanding our donor base, improving supporter experience, and developing new, insight-led fundraising products.

We know there’s increasing demand from supporters and partners for more creative and meaningful ways to engage with our work. This strategic role brings the expertise and capacity needed to meet that demand—boosting engagement from current supporters and enabling us to reach new audiences.

This is a forward-facing role, ideal for someone who brings fresh thinking, strong external networks, and a deep understanding of sector trends. We’re looking for someone who loves working collaboratively across internal teams and can manage external partners/suppliers to develop bold, insight-led fundraising campaigns that grow income and deepen impact.

This role will work closely with Communications, Campaigns, and Research to ensure our fundraising and mobilisation plans support each other. You will work collaboratively to develop content that supports fundraising, and ensure that fundraising supports our digital engagement goals. This role will partner closely with the Services, Voice & Involvement team to actively involve young women in fundraising, making sure their voices, experiences, and stories are at the heart of how we inspire support and shape our fundraising strategy.

You will be studying for one day a week towards the Level 3 HR Support Apprenticeship qualification and will need GCSE (or equivalent) English and maths as an entry point.

We’re looking for someone reliable, happy to learn our IT systems, a confident communicator and most importantly, has a good eye for detail.
