With the ability to effectively manage key relationships internally and externally, you will deliver campaigns with agreed timeframes, and a high standard with excellent attention to detail.

In addition, you will have experience managing team members, ensuring their development is a key part of your role. You will also be able to demonstrate strategic thinking, understanding how campaigns affect wider KPI’s for the organisation.

About the Role

This is a dynamic and rewarding role at the heart of the Fundraising Team, where you’ll help generate over £1.4 million each year to keep the Youth Zone running. You’ll lead on writing compelling bids and funding proposals that unlock both unrestricted income and targeted project support – from mental health to employability to sports and creative programmes.

• Develop compelling proposals that articulate the impact of the Youth Zone’s work, leveraging live data, case studies, and feedback from youth workers to bring applications to life

• Build and manage relationships with funders, developing stewardship plans that include timely reporting, in-person or virtual engagement, and opportunities for funder visits to the Youth Zone

About You

You will have experience of:

• Managing a fundraising pipeline or prospect list, from initial research through to application and stewardship, using a CRM system such as Salesforce to track progress and outcomes

The post holder will support the launch of our Do It Yourself (DIY) fundraising product, as well as supporting In Aid Of (IAO) fundraising activity across the UK. You will have experience in direct marketing and be proficient in delivering multi-channel campaigns in a fast-paced environment. You will have experience in managing multiple projects and budgets, as well as a track record in excellent stakeholder management. An understanding of Community Fundraising developments and best practice would be advantageous.

The ideal candidate will be driven, creative and possess excellent attention to detail.

• Degree educated or equivalent experience in a direct marketing role

RSPB Scotland is seeking someone to lead the way in our ambition to raise and manage funding for the vital restoration of Scotland’s peatlands, to benefit biodiversity, the climate and communities.

This role will focus on ensuring that a pipeline of peatland restoration funding routes, including funding applications, bids, and expressions of interest, are identified, developed, submitted, and managed, to secure financial support from various sources (public and private). You will be responsible for making sure that project owners are aware of and adhere to all contractual requirements, prepare regular funding reports and work with partners to solve potential problems.

You will be expected to check and submit budgets, make financial claims and update income and project spreadsheets. You will work with RSPB teams and external stakeholders to identify and manage novel funding routes and opportunities to support the Scotland Peatland Programme, acting as a liaison between them and peatland project teams. In addition, you will play a central role of support to peatland teams developing projects for the IUCN Peatland Code, providing funding guidance and expertise and being responsible for ensuring documents are developed and submitted to ensure successful project validation.

This role will sit within the RSPB Scotland Fundraising team and will work closely with the Scotland Peatland Programme, and as such it requires someone who is independently motivated and able to manage potentially conflicting priorities. We will facilitate visits to RSPB peatland reserves across Scotland to help you understand the specifics of restoration on each site.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Evidence of ability to build strong relationships with a range of teams to deliver key results
• Highly proficient in managing multiple workstreams and deadlines, communicating priorities clearly and updating decision makers.

• Manage and expand a portfolio of existing and prospective funders, cultivating strong and lasting relationships through effective stewardship and communication.

• Two-years experience of fundraising from trusts, foundations and statutory sources.
• Demonstrated success in securing 5 and 6- figure grants.

The role is at a start-up non-profit looking to create a global movement to support senior professionals in powerful industries to - collectively and anonymously - help drive positive change in their industries.

Your job will be to help serve as a conduit between groups of industry insiders and the regulators, policymakers, shareholders or consumer groups they want to activate. 

The job is perfect for someone deeply interested in and knowledgeable about the workings of government who has direct experience of briefing, engaging and working with Members of Parliament, civil servants, regulators, shareholders and/or press. 

You will also be working alongside and in partnership with NGOs and consumer groups.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

We’re looking for a Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager  with a bold campaigning instinct, sound strategic judgement, and a strong track record of working directly with shareholders and/or government/policy makers/regulators. 

Our essential criteria is that you:

• Have at least 18 months experience working in Parliament, in public affairs or in shareholder management;

• Bring care and kindness in the work you do.

Additional key skills and experience:

• Campaign leadership: proven experience designing and delivering campaigns that influence public, policy or corporate behaviour;

• Power mapping and strategy: strong instincts for pressure, timing, and influence in complex systems;

• Stakeholder engagement: skilled at working across insider and outsider groups — from boardroom to protest line;

• Communication: exceptional writing and messaging skills; confident with the press and public platforms;

• Confidentiality and care: understands the risks insiders face and knows how to build trust and safeguard participation.

The Trusts Fundraising Manager will be responsible for leading, developing and growing the fledgling trusts fundraising programme, securing income from new and existing supporters, and working across the organisation to develop compelling applications and to demonstrate the impact of our work.

Job purpose  

To lead on fundraising from trusts and foundations to deliver and grow long-term, sustainable income

Key responsibilities  

• Lead on the development and delivery of the trusts fundraising strategy to generate agreed annual targets in line with DCC’s plans. 
• Be the charity’s expert in trust fundraising, advising other departments on work relating to this area. 
• Focus on new business, implementing systems, tools and procedures to proactively identify new funders. 
• Develop and enhance relationships with existing supporters, delivering first-class stewardship and securing repeat support as appropriate. 
• Lead on the development of creative, inspiring and professional proposals and reports to funders. 
• Set, monitor and report on income and expenditure budgets, key performance indicators and the annual work plan. 
• Work with colleagues across the organisation to support ongoing delivery and development of the trusts fundraising programme. 
• Act as an ambassador for DCC representing the charity externally.
• Ensure all supporter records are kept up-do-date on the database and adhere to all relevant legislative and regulatory obligations relating to fundraising.
