The St Mungo’s Finance team has embarked on an exciting period of change. We are now looking for a talented individual to join the team as Head of Commercial Finance, who will be the Finance Business Partner to business operations at St Mungo’s and therefore responsible for the management and reporting of business operations financial performance.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will lead and develop a team of Finance Business Partners and you will play an active role in the development of St Mungo’s financial strategy, including supporting the delivery of the systems and process transformation programme. Key responsibilities include:
- Business partnering the Executive Director of Client Services and his teams in understanding and interpreting their financial results, making business decisions and bidding for new contracts.
- Deliver high quality management information to managers in the organisation including the Executive Team and Regional Directors.
- Develop a high performing FBP team that provides finance support and challenge across St Mungo’s operations.
- Successfully embed the new Finance System, leveraging efficiencies providing value-add data.
In this role you will have the opportunity to work flexibly for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in Tower Hill, London. This allows for in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities. We support a flexible approach to work with options for agile working for the rest of your week; from home, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations.
About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic and curious person with a strong desire to drive high quality business operations and the ability to play an active role in the development of St Mungo’s Finance strategy.
- You will be a qualified accountant with a successful track record of leading and managing a Commercial Finance (or equivalent) team.
- You will demonstrate strong direct and indirect people management skills; excellent communication skills, clear business partnering experience, with the ability to work effectively with finance and non-finance staff, explaining and de-mystifying complex financial issues. ·
- You will have detailed knowledge of end to end annual and multi-year business cycles and be comfortable working with and improving financial systems and processes.

The Head of Counselling has overall responsibility for the smooth running of the clinical services, the recruitment of suitable counsellors, supervisors, and Strides HCC team to ensure the maintenance of high standards of service delivery.
The role is an integral part of Strides, working with the CEO and other Heads of services to support the continuous development and delivery of services in line with Strides’ strategy.
The main purpose of the role is to provide effective management and leadership of Strides HCC. The role focuses on the strategic development of the project, the financial management and financial sustainability of its operations, and the overseeing of all aspects of the clinical service delivery and clinical governance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• To be accountable for all aspects of clinical governance in the service, reporting back to the CEO as required.
• Organise and chair the steering group meetings, review minutes and report back on actions and progress.
• Responsible for ensuring service(s) meet contractual, funding and legal obligations as applicable.
• Conduct regular management / quality audits and provide management reports on performance.
• Contribute to organisational policy and procedure development.
• Produce and revise service-specific policies, and oversee their implementation across the HCC service.
• Accountable for ensuring robust information management is in place; supporting the continuous Strides' information management systems and utilising management information reporting to assist management oversight of performance and to inform service developments.

STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT
• Develop and embed deliverable annual plans for each service. Work with and support the other Heads of services and safety management are in place for all services, including delegating specific duties as appropriate in each service and the SLT in promoting the work of Strides.
• To sustain existing and develop new business for HCC by raising the profile of HCC and by identifying, engaging, and building relationships with new clients and other mental health services.
• Develop professional networks and partnerships with a range of key stakeholders to aid service development.
• Anticipate and develop strategies to resolve service challenges or risks involving appropriate colleagues.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
• To set an annual operational budget for each service in conjunction with service managers, finance team and senior management.
• Act as budget holder for designated area, responsible for monitoring and controlling assigned budget, taking corrective action where appropriate, and reporting as required.
• Work with service managers to ensure all financial and administrative processes are delivered to a high standard within policies and procedures.
• To identify possible sources of income, working with fundraising colleagues on sourcing funding for service development.
SAFEGUARDING
• Be responsible and accountable for ensuring HCC fully embeds excellent safeguarding practice and are fully aware of organisational safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Act as key source of support, advice, and expertise for safeguarding for the service.
• Together with the Clinical Manager act as points of contact for counsellors and supervisors in case of urgent clinical questions/issues.
PEOPLE LEADERSHIP
• Create clear vision and objectives for service(s) under your leadership; empowering, motivating people to be fully engaged and participate in the work and provide high standard clinical service.
• Through line management responsibilities, develop accountable service managers with clear expectations and objectives, ensuring learning needs are assessed and met.
• To have regular, clear communication with direct reports and facilitate a ‘feedback loop’ to ensure your teams are fully informed of organisational decision making and updates and team members are provided mechanisms to feed into organisational developments.
• To ensure that staff operate at the level of competency specified for their posts; to coach, support and develop staff to enhance their levels of competency and to take effective steps to address underperformance.
• To work with service managers and HR team to ensure the best possible management of team members, ensuring all matters are managed in line with Strides policies and procedures.
• Line manage the Service Manager and the Clinical Manager, and the Clinical Supervisors.
• Monitor and support the work of Supervisors & organise and chair quarterly supervisors’ meetings.
• Together with the Clinical Manager, organise an annual seminar program for HCC Counsellors and Assessors.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• To contribute to Strides’ overall strategy and business plan.
• To work collaboratively and contribute to positive working relationships with team colleagues, wider Strides colleagues and volunteers and to participate in reflective practice.

We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated person with experience of low carbon retrofit, asset management, and business development to join Repowering London’s growing team. You will be a core part of our mission to tackle climate change and move towards a more inclusive and sustainable future.
This will be a high-profile role within the executive team of a nationally significant social enterprise that is at the leading edge of urban community energy, with significant ambitions for scale and impact. You will work alongside the Executive Team with shared responsibility for setting and realising the organisation’s goals, strategic priorities, and business plan.
Community Retrofit is a place-based approach to decarbonisation and community development, that creates low-carbon infrastructure, which is technically integrated at a local level, and provides direct benefits to local communities, for example through community ownership, affordable energy supply, or high-quality jobs.
You will be responsible for leading the Community Retrofit team. The team currently encompasses seven staff working across domestic and non-domestic:

Rooftop solar is the most established asset type deployed by Repowering, with installations dating to 2013. Retrofit assessment and coordination services started in 2023, and communal heat network investments are expected in 2025.
You will be responsible for ensuring high quality installations of low carbon assets that perform as forecast.
You will lead the development of improvements to our processes for evaluating potential sites and deploying and maintaining low carbon assets and retrofit measures.
The role will require ongoing refinement of Repowering’s community retrofit offer to community groups, building owners and public bodies such as Local Authorities, and support the growth of long-term partnerships with our stakeholders, including supply chain partners.
In particular, working with the Repowering executive team you will support the incubation of a suite of a finance offers that allow a wider range of households, businesses and communities to participate in community retrofit.
You will also support Repowering’s work to increase employment opportunities for young people in the low carbon sector, through how we structure our procurement for installations and by the training programmes we run in-house and with partners.
The Community Retrofit Team is one of Repowering’s four key teams, which include Communities, Energy Supply, and Core Operations. The right candidate will have a high level of technical due diligence, project management and business development experience, with a track record in leading successful teams. Training and Education Lead
We are looking for two Training and Education Leads to work for an exciting organisation, one permanent and one parental cover (6 months).
Position: Training and Education Lead (two positions)
Location: London/Hybrid
Salary: £30,000 - £31,500 per annum (pro-rated for parental cover)
Hours: Full-time
Contract: Permanent and 6 months parental cover

About the role:
We have two events-based roles to support our training and development courses. These courses are delivered either face-to-face or hybrid and are often delivered by a team of the organisation’s members. We use tools such as WebEx, MS Teams and Slido to support the delivery. There is an agreed schedule for the rest of 2024 for our public (open) training plus some bespoke, in-house training to be agreed upon with clients. There will also be additional in-house training to be secured for the remainder of 2024 and the first part of 2025.
The role holders will work within our professional development team, headed up by the director of professional development. They will report directly to the director and work alongside other team members to deliver an effective apprenticeship programme.
Our working pattern is hybrid, with attendance in the office expected for three days per week, including every Wednesday. You may also be expected to attend events across the UK and overseas.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the course working parties including the production of agendas and minutes
- Create booking pages via iMIS and make them live when approved.
- Manage bookings and respond to queries.
- Prepare and distribute course information, delegate packs, learning materials and handbooks as required.
- Organise and attend volunteer Working Party meetings as required.
- Negotiate contracts, attend site visits where needed and finalise contracts.
- Liaise with suppliers, delegates and speakers to ensure all final details are communicated.
- Process bookings via iMIS, including sending booking confirmations.
- Respond to queries from delegates and potential delegates such as queries on their course or programme and progress.
- Ensure that accurate and complete records of attendance and progress are maintained.
- Ensure delegates' and speaker needs are met before and after the course.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will need experience managing events (face-to-face and hybrid) including liaising with speakers and managing the technology. You will be able to work with colleagues to identify and contact potential speakers. You will also be able to manage the budget for the course delivery. To be successful at the organisation, you will need to be able to work in a small team, be flexible in accommodating changing priorities and thrive in an ever-changing environment.
You will also bring with you the following skills and experience:
- A qualification or experience in event and/or learning management
- Experience in managing the delivery of courses and training programmes including course agendas, delegate and speaker support and course administration
- Strong planning and prioritisation skills with the ability to multitask
- Excellent oral and written English
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills including record-keeping and attention to detail
- Basic financial awareness and understanding for example working to a budget and controlling costs
- Suitability to work with apprentices and vulnerable people including acceptable DBS record
- General IT skills including MS Office (e.g. Word mail merges and Excel reporting). An aptitude for learning new software/portals and experience with customer databases such as iMIS, webinar and eLearning platforms will be an advantage

We are looking for an experienced institutional funding expert to lead and manage a busy portfolio. This is a role in which the successful candidate will need to juggle multiple and complex projects. Key duties will include:
- Leading the development and implementation of a portfolio of work within the institutional funding team (IFT) currently focused on West Africa (17 Anglophone, Francophone and Lusophone countries), and lead on the development of strategic partnerships with individual institutional donors as prioritised.
- Providing direct line management and strategic support to a sub-team within IFT, that will support continued income growth and contract management, in line with the Institutional Funding strategy.
- Managing existing grant / contracts falling within the remit of this role and secure new income to the organisation.

This role is involved and multi-faceted with regular meetings across the organisation. This is a full-time role that may be worked from home for the majority of the time however some visits to our offices in Haywards Heath, West Sussex (RH16 3BW) will be required. On average this is likely to be twice per year. If you prefer to work from or are visiting our collaborative, modern office space, you will find it an easy 20-minute train journey from Brighton or 45 minutes from London. The role
This important role sits within our Supply Chain and Logistics team who are responsible for processing offers of surplus food from our food partners into our network of Regional Centres and the wider community. Main areas of responsibility
Food Industry Customer Service
- Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring offers are responded to and processed within agreed service level requirements
- Assist in capturing key account information in our CRM system
Regional Centre allocation
- Adhere to the requirements of the Network Service Level Agreement
- Work with the Supply Chain and Logistics Officers to match food supplied to Regional Centre needs, always working to maximise surplus redistribution and minimise waste
- Ensure that offers are allocated in an efficient and timely manner according to network needs and agreed priorities to maximise social impact of surplus food
- Using our CRM system, maintain timely records of accounts, allocations, offers and case management
- Maintain high standards of customer service to the Network and Operations teams and develop respectful and effective working relationships with the Regional Centres
Logistics and transport
- Work with hauliers to plan transport requirements and ensure that we are able to meet network demand
