We’re searching for a proactive and dedicated Registered Nurse Manager to lead our committed care team at Bridgemead Care Home. Bridgemead is a 32-bed residential care home by the river in central Bath. The home cares for those who live with dementia and respite care in Bath.

What You’ll Do: 

• Ensure high-quality care in line with our policies and Christian values;
• Lead and manage the care and hospitality teams ensuring they are well-trained and motivated;
• Oversee the development and implementation of care plans
• Responsible for the home’s budget, in conjunction with the Head Office Finance Team. This includes local purchasing etc within budget limits;
• Manage complaints from residents, relatives and staff in accordance with Society policy;
• Engage with local church and community groups to maximise voluntary help and spiritual support available;
• Uphold the Christian ethos of the home through leadership and example. 

What You’ll Bring: 

• Management experience in a residential care home or similar setting; 
• Qualification in Health & Social Care (Level 3 or above); 
• Strong leadership and people management skills; 
• A passion for person-centred care and working with older people;
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities; 
• IT proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook);
• Ability to manage workload and remain calm under pressure.

Hours:

Full-time, 40 hours per week, with occasional weekend, bank holiday, and on-call cover as required.

At Ambitious about Autism, we're currently looking for a Property Compliance Officer to join our team at St John's College on a 12 month FTC.

You'll lead on the day-to-day responsibilities for property, health and safety and vehicle fleet regulatory and statutory compliance at St John's College and its residential settings. You'll conduct routine property inspections and work to identify any corrective actions needed. You'll carry out health and safety checks to ensure legal and regulatory body compliance is maintained across all property and ensure accurate records are kept.

You'll produce termly health and safety statistics and half termly Quality Assurance thematic reporting and statistics to ensure overall compliance. You'll carry out post-incident investigations with the Health and Safety Manager as appropriate and produce reports with action recommendations.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Knowledge of building, mechanical, electrical compliance in accordance with relevant health and safety legislation and/or regulations
• Practical experience of effective risk assessment and management and able to provide professional advice and support
• Proven ability in undertaking investigations using tact and diplomacy in sensitive or contentious situations
• Experience of interpreting and analysing data/technical information, and producing written reports for internal stakeholders and committees

About the role

In this role you will be responsible for developing, planning, executing and evaluating projects in our Strategic Change portfolio – ensuring alignment to the wider vision and strategic direction of Macmillan and maintaining a focus on outcomes.

You will be working collaboratively with Business Leads across Macmillan, you will define the project’s objectives and drive progress throughout its life cycle.

The Sophie Lancaster Foundation was founded in 2009 after Sophie Lancaster and her boyfriend were attacked because of their alternative appearance. Sophie later died from her injuries. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Fundraiser to help secure the charity’s financial stability and support its growth.

The role involves creating a fundraising function from the bottom up and then developing and implementing a fundraising strategy. Diverse income streams to be targeted include corporate partnerships, individual donors, grants and foundations, events and digital campaigns. You’ll work closely with the team, CEO and Trustees to ensure fundraising activities align with our clear objectives.

Responsible for creating and delivering a fundraising plan that meets income targets, you’ll identify funding opportunities that align with our mission. This includes researching grants, preparing applications, managing funder relationships and reporting. Building donor engagement through regular giving, legacy programmes and other initiatives will also be part of the role.

Maintaining accurate, GDPR-compliant records of fundraising activities and donor data is essential. You’ll also prepare reports for internal use and external stakeholders.

This is an exciting time to be joining the campaign, as we capitalise on our successes so far and plan for our next big policy gain - increasing the rate of Statutory Sick Pay.

The Centre for Progressive Change (CPC) is an organisation that builds campaigns for national policy change in the UK. Our focus is on making progressive gains that improve the lives of low- and middle-income communities. We want the UK to be a place where everyone has the financial resources they need, where people are treated as equals and are free to be who they are without persecution, and where we look after our environment.

To achieve this vision, our mission is to build proactive campaigns for progressive legislative change, do research on what works when campaigning for national policy change and offer training and consultancy to support other organisations to build effective campaigns. The Campaign Director will be in charge of our campaign for Safe Sick Pay, so that everyone has the Statutory Sick Pay they need. The Campaign Director will form the campaign strategy to see an increase in the rate of Statutory Sick Pay, fundraise to implement the strategy, hire campaign team members, support the team to implement the strategy, hold the key stakeholder relationships, drive the campaign, and deliver parts of the campaign where needed.

What the job involves

The Policy and Health Influencing team is responsible for using clinical data and evidence to shape what the organisation thinks and to develop solutions that drive change for men with and at risk of prostate cancer. This means working with clinicians, patients and stakeholders to interpret the latest changes in prostate cancer research, care, support and treatment which will help shape our strategic direction and activities.

As the Policy and Health Influencing Coordinator, you're key to supporting the policy and health influencing team, and teams across the Health Services, Equity and Improvement Directorate when needed. You'll have a varied and far-reaching portfolio of work for example, at times arranging important stakeholder events and meetings and ensuring we're hearing from people who've been through prostate cancer themselves. You'll also help share our work on social media and capture the outcomes of our external engagement.

In this role you’ll assist us in keeping track of and evaluating our progress in line with our organisational strategy, as well as keeping an eye on trends in the wider cancer and health landscape and reporting on them. Plus, you'll handle budget matters and make sure we have effective budget monitoring mechanisms in place.

What we want from you

We’re looking for a Coordinator who is highly organised, an effective communicator who knows how to adapt and effectively prioritise your time. You’ll have excellent coordination skills and can organise others too (especially teams which are based across the UK) and have experience of creating and updating forward planners, project schedules and streamlining team processes. You’ll be able to comfortably engage with senior managers and a breadth of external senior level stakeholders. Regularly taking the initiative to drive improvements so that the teams you support can operate efficiently.

With skills in collecting and utilising data to monitor, trend, and report on activity, you're proactive in acting on the results. You’ll have some experience or interest in working in the health or volunteer sector. You’re also quick to learn and capable at picking up new systems including those for budget management and product fulfilment.

Section A: Service User Wellbeing

· Ensure that we are in receipt of all appropriate current information on service users to fulfil our duty of care and support. This includes by way of examples, information on general health, allergies, medication, behavioural issues, and general interests.

· Ensure we have in place all Individual Risk Assessments as required to fully inform staff members of the needs of each service users and equip them with the knowledge to respond accordingly.

 

Section B: Parent / Carer and Professional Liaison

· Maintain either in person or through the Centre Care Managers, regular communication with all parents / carers and ensure we create a team approach to jointly working on the wellbeing of the service user.

· Respond to all incoming communication in a timely manner which ensures we build our reputation as a valued provider and support.

Section C: New Referrals

· Provide the focal point on the recruitment of new service users, identifying opportunities from brokerage and other sources, such as Specialist Schools, and ensure that each potential attendee and their parents / carers are supported through the process of visit, taster days, making choices and arranging the financial package.

· Ensure we are able to meet the selection and reporting requirements of each stakeholder seeking to place an individual and that they likewise can comply with our own service delivery requirements. This will be enacted in liaison with the CEO and Head of Business Services.

This is a senior role for someone with strong experience in corporate fundraising who wants to step into leadership. You will manage a small, motivated team, oversee a healthy pipeline, and be responsible for both new business and stewardship of existing partnerships. What you’ll be doing

• Leading and developing the Corporate Partnerships team to meet ambitious income targets
• Securing and managing partnerships with businesses across our six-county operating region
• Creating tailored proposals, sponsorship opportunities and employee engagement activities that align with business objectives
• Ensuring excellent stewardship through impact reporting, supporter engagement and regular communication
• Supporting the Head of Fundraising and Engagement to grow our philanthropy programme and engage high-net-worth individuals
• Representing the charity at meetings, pitches and events, inspiring stakeholders to back our mission
• Monitoring and reporting on the corporate pipeline and income performance to senior leadership

• Extensive experience in corporate fundraising with a track record of securing five- and six-figure gifts
• A confident leader, able to motivate a team and develop their potential
• Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, comfortable engaging senior executives
• Excellent communicator with strong presentation and negotiation skills

• Organised, resilient and able to balance multiple priorities
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle, with flexibility to travel across the Midlands

Fundraising Manager – 17.5 to 21 hours per week 

Age UK Camden is seeking to recruit a dedicated Fundraising Manager to this vital role. 

Age UK Camden is a local, independent and innovative charity which has provided services to older people in Camden for more than 50 years through diverse and inclusive services.  We are looking for a results-driven Fundraising Manager who will be responsible for the fundraising, income generation and marketing/communications functions within Age UK Camden (AUC). The post holder will report to the CEO and work in close liaison with the Senior Management Team and the external bid writing consultant to support the charity to expand our income streams and help us build a strong external profile. 

The successful candidate will: 

• Design and implement a comprehensive fundraising and income generation strategy that supports AUC’s Business Plan and maximizes both unrestricted and restricted funding. 

• Develop and deliver an ongoing marketing and communications strategy to support. AUC’s strategic aims and increase our visibility and engagement. 

• Establish and nurture innovative funding streams to support long-term growth. 

• Identify opportunities to generate new income and establish sustainable new income streams. 

• Support the delivery of a comprehensive programme of community engagement with stakeholders from across the communities that we serve. 

• Lead and manage specific strategic projects as required, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals. 

Salary:  P02 SCP30-33 Starting at £40,104.80 pa for a 35 hour week (FTE) 

Which for a 21 hour week is £24,062.88 pa and for 17.5 hours is £20,052.40 pa
