The Role
An Investment Manager at Reall involves a range of responsibilities including portfolio management, financial analysis, partner acquisition and analysis, and compliance with organisational policies. The role requires strong analytical skills, experience in financial management, and the ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders. We are looking for two Investment Managers to strengthen the Investment team.
- Portfolio Management: The Investment Manager is responsible for performance analysis, risk assessment, liquidity management, and overall portfolio allocation.
- Financial Sustainability: Monthly assessments of financial sustainability are conducted by reviewing management accounts, annual financial statements, and business plans.
- Management Reporting: Regular reporting to executive management and investors on investment status is required, along with ensuring outstanding actions are managed through to completion.
- Risk Management: The role includes analysing foreign exchange risk and proposing risk management solutions in collaboration with colleagues.
- Investment Appraisal: Assessing investment opportunities, carrying out project and product investment appraisals, and drafting investment proposals for submission to the Investment Committee.
- Qualifications and Experience: A relevant degree with a CIMA/ACCA or equivalent qualification is preferred, along with experience in financial appraisal, financial management, and working in emerging markets.

Salary – £38,000 - £42,000 per annum dependent on experience
Working hours – Normal office hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. We are open to flexible working patterns subject to the objectives and outcomes of the role being met. We are currently working hybrid with blended office and homeworking with the ability to work up to three days from home most weeks.

- Work with the senior leadership to deliver the People and Culture and the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Plans that enables the delivery of organisational goals

Human Resource Management
- Provide first point of contact HR advice and support to colleagues and line managers, ensuring all instances are recorded appropriately
- Manage the compliant use of, and be first point of contact for, colleague queries on the HR IT System (currently BreatheHR)
- Support HR investigations and line managers with grievances, disciplinaries and other similar matters, recording meeting minutes and agreeing next steps.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Organisational Funding Manager to act as a point of contact between 10 voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations, Auriga Services and Utilita Giving. Building positive relationships with all stakeholders to successfully deliver the place-based support element of the Utilita Giving pilot.
As a Organisational Funding Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of investment funds, ensuring their efficient operation and growth.

Job Title: Financial Controller
Contract: Fixed term - Maternity Cover - 12 months
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 FTE
Hours per week: 28-35
Location: Home-based

About the role
We are looking for a technically proficient Financial Controller with charity experience to play a crucial role in managing the financial transactions team, ensuring robust financial controls and accurate financial reporting that will support NCT’s ongoing financial sustainability and the successful delivery of its ‘For Every Parent’ strategy.
Some of your key responsibilities include:
- Motivating, empowering and developing three team members
- Managing the month end close and ensuring that transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with relevant legislation
- Year-end accounts preparation and external audit: managing the year end timetable and tasks and acting as the key liaison for our external auditors
- Cash flow forecasting and management: monitoring cash balances and preparing reports for inclusion in management information
- VAT, Payroll, Gift Aid and Direct Debit processing and submissions
- Routine user acceptance testing of finance systems and play a key role in any finance system development projects
- Partnering with specific budget holders to discuss budget variances and reforecast on a monthly basis

Civitas Recruitment are delighted to be working with an established non-profit organisation that focuses on supporting the Muslim donor community direct their charitable funds as well as work closely with charities looking to grow and create higher impact within the Islamic space. The organisation has a team of dedicated team members who research, define and incubate innovative community development projects as well as bring on new projects which could be of interest to the donors. Due to growth, an exciting opportunity exists for a Managing Director to join the team to help develop the product further as well as manage the growth of the funds. As Managing Director, you will provide strategic leadership for the charity’s Donor Advised Fund in the UK, driving its growth, ensuring operational excellence. This is a permanent full-time/part-time (min 3 days) role, home based within the UK with travel to Bradford at least one day a week.
Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have excellent relationship management skills and be comfortable articulating the vision and mission of the charity to prospective donors (high net worths, business owners and leaders). You will have gravitas and be able to represent the charity at functions, networking events and be comfortable presenting. A passion and understanding of the charity sector and in particular, the Islamic landscape will be an advantage. Internally , you will be creative and have experience of developing and refining business and customer experience. Your strong leadership skills will allow you to drive projects forward and inspire the team you will oversee. Experience in budgeting, fundraising and investment oversight as well as knowledge of UK charity laws and regulations will be an advantage.

Marie Curie, the UK’s leading end-of-life charity, is seeking an Associate Director of Local Fundraising to lead their local fundraising operation and ensuring they maximise the value from local relationships.
Marie Curie is the largest non-NHS provider of end-of-life care in the UK, the only provider across all four nations delivering community nursing and hospice care across the country, while providing information and support on all aspects of dying, death, and bereavement. Their leading research pushes the boundaries of what we know about good end-of-life, and their campaigns fight for a world where everyone gets to have the best possible quality of life while living with an illness they’re likely to die from.
The Associate Director of Local Fundraising is a senior role within the Income, Innovation and Engagement directorate; a highly ambitious and professional team which is working to grow income and strengthen the organisation’s voice across the UK as the leading end of life care charity in the UK. Marie Curie has ambitious financial growth targets and needs to drive net contribution, engagement and awareness if they are to achieve their fundraising ambitions and subsequently their service growth goals.
The primary focus of the role is to maximise the net contribution from local fundraising but also to drive community awareness and engagement with Marie Curie. This is a key role for Marie Curie, responsible for managing a team of over 100 people and having responsibility for over £20 million Income, the recruitment of legacy prospects, the delivery of fundraising events and the strategic approach of supporter facing volunteers.
The Fundraising teams based in communities across the UK are responsible for raising money, driving legacy sign ups, building event participation and profit and growing awareness and engagement of the need for and impact of the charity’s work amongst supporters and people who have the potential to support Marie Curie. With all local relationships managed by this role’s teams, the post will ensure that supporters have a connected, seamless experience.
The ideal candidate will have senior leadership experience in a fundraising environment with a successful track record in increasing voluntary income or revenue. They will also have experience in developing both annual operational and three-year strategic plans, developing creative and innovative solutions and digital marketing and in working with working with volunteers and engaging local communities. This will be combined with a proven track record in managing large high-performing, geographically dispersed teams.
This is an ideal career opportunity for an individual with extensive community fundraising experience looking to either broaden their portfolio or take the next step towards a Director of Fundraising role.
