To be successful in this role, you will bring proven experience in managing high-value relationships across corporate partnerships, major donors, trusts & foundations, and statutory bodies. You'll have a strong track record of securing and growing long-term partnerships, including successfully negotiating six or seven-figure sums with corporate partners and/or major donors. You'll bring outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to engage high-value supporters and collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the corporate, trust & foundation, major donor and other high value supporter strategies.
• Manage and develop the Rapid Response Network, retaining existing partnerships whilst also identifying and securing new partnerships.
• Deliver excellent stewardship that retains and develops support.
• Take to completion and implement recommendations from strategic projects, to include the major donor review and the RRN / corporate support review.
• Continually hone “next appeal” plans that lead to successful appeal launches and maximise funds raised throughout the appeal life cycle.
• Achieve annual core cost income targets and put in place robust forecasting for future years.

The Role

As our eCommerce Assistant, reporting to the eCommerce Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day trading activity of our eCommerce Team. Your focus will be on helping us meet our online sales targets by efficiently listing products and ensuring orders are shipped promptly to our customers. You will also help us to make the most of our premium warehousing space, by keeping our listed products stored in the best possible locations for easy access and smooth operations.

As eCommerce Assistant you will have a passion for generating income for the charity, and a relentless commitment to delivering and exceeding targets to generate income for funding life-saving research.  

Specifically, you will:

E-commerce

• Set up warehouse locations for our new goods and products to support sales on our Shopify platform, ensuring they are set up correctly to maintain inventory.

• Support the eCommerce and Product Manager to identify opportunities to improve procedures and systems and support our volunteers with any changes to ways of working.

• Identify innovative new online trading and business opportunities to increase income, ensuring that these are raised with your line manager.

• Ensure all customers are communicated to effectively, and all posting and packaging is completed within prescribed timescales.

• Using ListingMonsterAI, produce listings for our eBay shop, ensuring that your KPIs are met.

• List appropriate items for sale on our Depop and Vinted channels, using your experience and training to establish what items will resonate with the demographics on those platforms.

People management

• Support our team of well-trained volunteers to ensure that they are operating in line with the expectations of the Yorkshire Cancer Research eCommerce team.

• Play a part in the wider eCommerce team and work to ensure that targets are met across the whole function, providing support to peers and managers, as and when required.

Financials

• Deliver the eCommerce budgets and KPIs.

• Consistently deliver the listing targets to ensure that there is a constant flow of new products online to drive interest and maintain the eBay algorithm

Strategic

• Ensure that listings generate brand awareness through adhering to brand guidelines.

• Work with colleagues to monitor supporter journeys for online shop customers.

Relationships

• Create an environment of continued volunteer engagement.

• Professionally represent Yorkshire Cancer Research as an ambassador in working relationships with external partners.

• Champion and role model excellence in customer and supporter experience and engagement within your team.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

· To be educated to GCSE or equivalent level qualification.

· To have a proven track record in, or passion for, eCommerce.

· To have a full UK driving licence, access to own vehicle and ability to travel across Yorkshire.

· To have experience of sales target delivery.

· To have experience of identifying process inefficiencies.

· To have a good understanding of eCommerce platforms including, but not limited to, eBay, Depop, Vinted and Shopify.

About the role 

At the heart of our operations, our exceptional Regional Casework Coordinators serve as the primary point of contact for members of the armed forces community reaching out to our Regional Offices for support.

In this dynamic role, no two days are the same. You may be supporting individuals in distress over the phone, managing email and voicemail communications, collaborating with volunteers on complex casework, building strong relationships with local authorities and charitable organisations, or working closely with internal services to secure the best possible outcomes for our clients.

You will sometimes handle complex problems from individuals who may be distressed, identifying the presenting and potential underlying needs to determine the best way to support them. You will have ownership of cases from beginning to end, coordinating the casework process in a timely manner and ensuring that the beneficiary journey is at the centre of the Service.

Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the East of England region in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, or Essex.

You will occasionally be required to travel around the region or further afield, to attend face to face meetings or training events.

To help you establish yourself in this new post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA. You will initially be required to attend an in-person caseworkers’ course which may require an overnight stay.

About the team 

Reporting to the Regional Casework Manager our Casework Coordinators, together with our Volunteer Caseworkers, work remotely within the regional office area.  With beneficiaries at the heart of everything we do, team members pride themselves in building and maintaining close working relationships to ensure the smooth operation of the office.  The wider regional support team includes a Regional Manager, Volunteer Development Manager and a Community Engagement Manager. 

About you 

To thrive in this role, you'll demonstrate composure and resilience, paired with genuine empathy and a strong commitment to supporting those in need.

Our beneficiaries are at the heart of everything we do. To support them effectively, you’ll need to be an attentive listener and a clear, compassionate communicator.

You will have experience of providing welfare support, especially on the telephone and an understanding of benefits, debt management, disability, homelessness, local authority provision or mobility would be a real benefit.  Understanding the way of life of today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families and experience of working with volunteers would be a real advantage.

Knowledge of Safeguarding and GDPR is essential in this sensitive role as team members are responsible for recording and protecting personal data and reporting safeguarding concerns.

This is a permanent, part-time (21.9hr per week, 0.6FTE) role. The role is based at Bloomsbury campus with flexibility to work from home on a 40/60 basis (40% working from the office). 

We are looking for a Governance & Administration Coordinator to provide servicing and support for our governance meetings. This will involve ensuring meetings and committees are governed to exemplary standards, and to ensure we comply with relevant legislation and other regulatory requirements. You will join the Governance & Compliance team which oversees our governance arrangements, as well as our complaint, disciplinary and safeguarding procedures.

Do you have experience in supporting committees and internal meetings on matters related to governance, organisational planning and oversight? Do you have experience in coordinating agendas, papers and minute-taking for formal meetings with a varied portfolio of meetings, working with different chairs and stakeholders? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Chief Officer – Finance and Resources with a social enterprise charity, on a full-time, permanent basis. As Chief Officer – Finance and Resources, you will be responsible for ensuring financial sustainability, operational efficiency and resilience, and strategic resource planning for the charity.

There is hybrid working in place with this organisation with an average of 1-2 days per week in the office.

As Chief Officer – Finance and Resources, you will:

- Serve as a key member of the charity’s Senior Management Team, contributing to strategy and decision making across the organisation

- Work closely with the Chief Executive and the Board of Trustees to develop and implement a new 3-to-5-year business plan for the charity’s next phase of growth

- Lead the development of the charity’s financial strategy, ensuring sustainability and alignment with charity’s overall goals

- Provide strategic oversight and leadership for finance, IT, governance, property and facilities functions

- Develop and lead a high-performing finance and operations team

The successful applicant will:

- Have significant demonstrable experience in finance within the charity sector, in a similar role

- Hold a professional accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

- Have an advanced understanding of Microsoft Power Query, BI, and dashboard development and modelling

- Be fully conversant with accounting regulations and an understanding of Charity SORP gained whilst working within a Charity

- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

About the role:

Working as a partner between finance and IT, the Systems Accountant will join Parkinson’s UK at a pivotal time of investment in their finance systems and processes. You will play a key part in supporting and managing finance system upgrades, implementations, and developments, liaising across key stakeholder groups to ensure that the finance systems are optimised to meet business needs, enhance financial reporting and drive efficiency across the business.

What you’ll do:

• Support the implementation, development, and continuous improvement of financial systems.
• Collaborate with finance and IT teams to ensure smooth system integration and data accuracy.
• Assist in configuring and testing new financial systems or system enhancements.
• Troubleshoot system issues, liaising with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Develop reports and dashboards to enhance financial reporting and decision-making.
• Train finance teams and end-users on new systems and best practices.
• Ensure financial controls and compliance requirements are embedded in system workflows.
• Support month-end and year-end processes by ensuring system efficiency and data integrity.
• Document system processes and procedures for future reference.

What you’ll bring:

• Strong experience in developing or improving financial systems
• CCAB part-qualified or qualified accountant
• Experience in supporting the implementation and maintenance of finance systems
• Ability to or experience of developing financial reports suited to stakeholder needs within finance systems
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
