Head of Fundraising

We are looking for an ambitious, creative and inspirational Head of Fundraising to join Unity MK at a pivotal moment in our journey.

We are a homelessness charity in Milton Keynes about to take a big ambition to the next level.

We are developing an exciting capital build project that will transform the way we support people experiencing homelessness in our city. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to create a lasting legacy for our community - and we need an exceptional leader to help make it happen.

The Role

As our Head of Fundraising and Communications, you will own our fundraising and communications strategy across individual giving, trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, major donors, community fundraising and events.

A major part of your role will be to lead an ambitious capital fundraising campaign to support our new build.

Working closely with the CEO, senior leadership team, fundraising and communications team and our supporters, you will identify and cultivate high-value relationships, develop compelling cases for support and inspire individuals, businesses, trusts and foundations to invest in our vision.

You will have the freedom and responsibility to shape our fundraising and communications function; build on the strong relationships we already have and introduce new approaches that will increase our income and our impact.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants to do more than deliver a fundraising plan. You will help shape the future of the organisation.

About You

You will be an experienced fundraiser with a track record of securing significant income and building strong, long-term relationships with donors and funders.

You might already be leading a fundraising team, or you may be an experienced senior fundraiser ready to roll up your sleeves and apply your strategic thinking and commercial acumen in a broader strategic leadership role.

Most importantly, you will have a commitment to tackling homelessness and be ambitious for the people we support. You will believe that fundraising isn't simply about raising money - it is about bringing people together around a shared vision for change.
