TreeHouse School is a non-maintained special school for pupils aged 4- 19 with Autism and learning difficulties.

About the role:
We are seeking a new Head of Business and Operations to play a crucial role in supporting the Head to review and drive continuous improvement.
The key responsibilities in the role will include:
- Finances: You will oversee and manage all finances and a multi million pound budget for the school.
- Human Resources: This will include leading on people strategy, workforce planning and performance management including evaluating the schools operational model.
- Systems and Processes: One of the immediate priorities for this role will be to evaluate systems and processes (for monitoring areas outlined in the job description) and seek ways to streamline these with innovative solutions.
This role does involve line management of two assistant operations managers as well as other office and facilities staff within the school.
You will work with the Headteacher to alleviate the administrative burdens from them but importantly support change management where identified / agreed.

Role overview
This key role manages our flagship and award-winning project supporting refugees with IT Hardware. The project collects IT Hardware, refurbishes and repairs it through our network of technicians, matches it with a suitable recipient through our referral process and then distributes it to charities and individual refugees and asylum seekers at no cost to the recipient. The project is in its third year, in which it will grow to overseeing e-waste collection and tech re-sale.
This role has two central arms: project management and volunteer management.
Overall management of the project includes key decision-making on tech refurbishment and distribution, building and maintaining key partnerships, impact reporting, staff management, external representation, developing and recording institutional memory and supporting the project's strategic growth with support from the Director. The postholder will be responsible for working with their team to maintain the smooth running of the project and deliver the project outcomes. They will deputise for the Director where necessary.
Volunteer management predominantly looks like the recruitment, coordination, training and retention of technical volunteers, many of whom are asylum seeking graduates of our tech training course. The post holder will be the go-to person for the volunteers and provide technical and management support with the help of our Technical Lead.

Who we are looking for
Our Communications Services team is seeking a talented Communications Officer, Social Media and Digital, with a background in sustainable development, science or health communications. The successful applicant will be educated to degree level with at least a 2:1 or 1st class honours degree.
You will need to be creative with the ability to produce social media campaigns, digital content and videos, and lead the development of engaging websites to tell our clients’ stories. What you will do
You’ll lead our social media and digital services for international development and research organisations around the world, as well as coordinating and providing advice on a range of other communications projects – covering topics such as climate change, health, poverty reduction, social equity, agriculture, water resources management, and green cities. You’ll need to think strategically and creatively, respond effectively to emerging trends, and help our team develop and grow.
Your role will include:
- Leading social media and digital communications services: you will conceptualise, coordinate and deliver social media campaigns, videos, websites, newsletters and other digital products for our clients – leading innovative content strategies that drive engagement.
- Content creation: you will create social media content and assets, graphics, videos and animations. You will also develop design templates and mock-ups, format presentations and Microsoft Word documents, produce event materials and make website updates.

Role Responsibilities
- Lead digital donor acquisition activities and journeys across a variety of channels including paid social, paid search, display, email and telemarketing.
- Develop and implement a lead generation strategy to grow our supporter base, utilising and testing tools and tactics such as quizzes, petitions and hand-raisers to recruit and convert new leads and engage existing donors.

We have an opportunity for a Digital Officer to support the day-to-day running of the College website. You will work closely with staff, members and volunteers to produce, manage and improve content for the website. As part of a small and busy team, this role would suit someone who enjoys collaboration and working with a range of stakeholders.
We are going through an exciting period of digital transformation and this role will work on a variety of digital projects to support this area of work. The role will also provide support on a project to move our website onto a new content management system (CMS.)

We are looking for a driven and passionate charity retail professional who is able to realise our exciting growth plans. The MS Society is embarking on an ambitious programme of charity shop growth and the right candidate will be instrumental in making our vision a reality. We’re very excited about what MS Society Retail is going to be doing in the next 2 years.
You’ll be an experienced charity retailer, with significant experience in managing and leading a diverse team. You’ll understand the key drivers behind charity shop success and how to optimise the MS Society’s retail portfolio to deliver that success.
You’ll be a confident speaker and presenter, bringing our business plan to life and inspiring our staff and volunteers to deliver our goals.
Importantly the right person for this role will be a committed charity retail fan, excited about the whole sector and the opportunities it offers to improve the MS Society’s income and engagement with the public and MS Community.

This role is about leading and enabling the incredible team of people on to even greater levels of already-strong performance. So we're looking for an accomplished leader and not just a great manager. We're looking for someone who can lead from both the front - and from within. This will be someone who is as comfortable sitting and engaging with our beneficiaries - primarily homeless people and those with previous convictions, as they are creating and delivering highly polished, compelling public event and funder and stakeholder-focussed presentations. We are looking for someone who understands the balance of external and internal focus required to ensure both good governance and team wellbeing (as they work in often challenging circumstances) and the ambition to keep developing existing and new external partnerships. With a strong start to its ambitious Corporate Partnership programme, commercial and/or business experience is highly desirable as well as a proven track record in creating and optimising new funding channels.

About Us
The Upper Room (TUR) works with a wide range of financially and socially disadvantaged groups including homeless people, people with long-term mental health conditions, asylum-seekers, refugees and ex-offenders – helping them to improve their lives and become productive members of society. Central to our offering is our UR4Meals service, providing free, home-cooked food to people who cannot afford to provide for themselves. We are also very proud of our UR4Driving programme, which supports people recently out of prison with free driving lessons in exchange for community volunteering. Gaining a driving licence greatly enhances their future employability prospects and helps break the cycle of re-offending. Additionally, our UR4Jobs project focusses on both client wellbeing and breaking down the many barriers to employment faced by disadvantaged people every day.
The role
Is leading the charity through its next phases of development as it prepares itself for year on year increases in demand with a focus on delivering the charity’s future resilience plan (Project 12/25). The CEO is accountable for overall charity performance (financial, operational, governance, compliance), team (paid and volunteer) support and development. Additionally, there are a wide range of community and external partner relationships to manage and develop. Ultimately this role sets the tone for the charity, one of both compassion and ambition to improve the lives of the people who need us. This is primarily an on-site role, with occasional opportunity to work flexibly.
About You
You have a stable CV that demonstrates you have built and led successful teams and enabled growth and/or transformation for your organisation – ideally in an equivalent charity/non-profit environment. You can evidence strong team leadership and results across a wide range of business functions which will need to include income generation, managing budgets and business operations. You live within - or know well, West/Central London, are passionate about improving the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable people and can lead multi-functional teams through a blend of 121 coaching, training and ensuring a ‘we can do this’ culture across the charity. About the role
This is a new role and sits in the Fundraising and Digital Directorate. The Fundraising and Digital function is responsible for all the charity’s fundraising, brand, website, social media, emails and lead generation campaigns. This role sits within the Public Fundraising Team, which secures donations from individuals signed up to our newsletters and individuals giving up to £5,000 per year, legators and regular givers.
We are looking for somebody who enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and wants to develop their fundraising, and specifically digital fundraising skills to have a major impact on the lives of refugees in the UK.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Project Management
- Working with the wider public fundraising team, support the development of plans and activity to manage a portfolio of acquisition, retention and stewardship campaigns including, but not limited to, gathering content, setting up landing pages, creating graphics and assets for digital content, designing ad content, as well as delivering email and social media communications and digital versions of our supporter newsletter.
- Provide digital support for each fundraising project from start to finish. Lead on creating segmented and tailored email journeys – source content and create briefs, liaise with suppliers, create and oversee data selections, exports and imports and manage sign off process.
- Manage our email welcome journey for e-news sign ups, and support on the development of other supporter journeys for a range of audiences across the team.
- Ensure continued communications and strong working relationships with the Direct Marketing Manager and Digital and Comms teams.
- Play an active role in coordinating digital communication plans across the organisation, working alongside the Direct Marketing Manager and Comms colleagues to suggest themes and content as well as creating/scheduling content as and when required.
Email Marketing
- Day-to-day management of the email marketing programme, including drafting, building and managing campaigns and automations, and managing audiences.
- Work with colleagues and draw on existing data to develop insights and understanding about our supporters. Use this information to develop content which is engaging, informative, and meets supporters’ needs.
- Provide support to the Public Fundraising team for all email content, and ensuring all content aligns with wider organisational goals and principles.
- Champion email marketing best practices across the organisation, providing advice and feedback to improve email engagement and effectiveness.
