You will help us deliver our Research Strategy by developing the smooth and efficient operation of our grant making processes, ensuring our research funding competitions and management of our grants portfolio are delivered to the highest standard and that our grant making processes are best practice.

 Your main responsibilities will be to:

• Develop our grants management systems and processes, identifying best practice and implementing changes where necessary
• Become the expert on our grants management software system and use of grants management analysis tools, providing updates on grants management data
• Change funding processes to ensure greater environmental sustainability of the research we fund
• Ensure our grant terms and conditions and policies are fit for purpose
• Engage with the wider research funding sector to identify best practices in areas of importance to us, such as peer review, research integrity, research culture and equity, diversity and inclusion
• Be the key point of contact with our Finance and Governance teams, and improve business processes between the teams
• Keep abreast of developments in best practice of research management and grant funding, and introduce improvements to processes.
• Monitor our use of data to ensure compliancy with all policies
• Work with Research Managers and Grants Officers to design bespoke funding competitions and standardise processes across all funding competitions
• Manage some standing Research Committees; for example, Research Organisation Due Diligence
• Assist in development and preparation of proposals, papers, reports, briefings and documents
• Engage with external stakeholders as a representative for the Foundation when necessary
• Manage and be involved in relevant project work
• Matrix management of a Grants Officer.

We will offer you

We will offer a salary of £45,000 to £47,000 depending on experience for a full-time 36-hour week (happy to consider part-time, min 0.8 FTE) and double-matched pension contributions up to 10% max employer contribution.  We offer 30 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata) per year, excellent financial, health and social benefits and an opportunity to join a dedicated team making a difference to human health.  We value spending time working in-person to develop strong connections with each other and with our mission, therefore we work from our London office for part of the week with the option to work remotely for the remainder.

Full time: 35 hours per week - these roles will be based onsite/in the community 4 days per week and work from home 1 day.

You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental or physical health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment. Muslim Aid is a UK faith-based international development organisation that provides support to communities around the world affected by disasters, conflict, or endemic poverty without regard to their social, religious, or ethnic background.

Summary of the role:

The HR Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day HR operations, focusing on delivering high-quality HR services. The role oversees employee relations, employee experience, learning and development, reward, resourcing, talent management, people analytics, EDI, wellbeing and payroll. The HR Manager will ensure the effective execution of HR processes and the maintenance of HR good practices across Muslim Aid, with a specific focus on using HR metrics to inform strategic decisions.

About the Role:

1. Oversee and manage all aspects of HR operations, ensuring compliance with legal and organisational policies.
2. Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they receive all necessary training and introductions to Muslim Aid policies.
3. Manage the recruitment process from job posting to hiring, ensuring a smooth and efficient candidate experience.
4. Respond promptly and effectively to HR-related inquiries from employees and management.
5. Conduct training sessions to educate employees and managers on HR policies and best practices.
6. Oversee the performance review process and ensure it is conducted fairly and consistently across all departments.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in managing HR operations and a team within a small to mid sized organisation.
3. Strong background in employee relations, including handling disputes and ensuring compliance with employment laws.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, capable of mentoring and motivating the HR team.
5. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.
6. Strategic HR management abilities to align HR functions with organisational goals.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

· Manage a portfolio of warm and cold prospects cultivating and stewarding these relationships. 

· Identify and cultivate new donor prospects, with a cross team focus on pipeline development. 

· Lead on the implementation of a strategic stewardship programme, including the delivery of high level, engaging stewardship events for high-net-worth supporters that inspire philanthropic support. 

· Supporting the development of the ambassador programmes, identifying and cultivating relationships with high profile celebrities. 

· Proactively manage budgets, monitor, and report on Philanthropy income generation including corporate pipeline, new business achieved and the status of existing donors to ensure income targets are delivered.

Salary- £34,000 - £40,000 DOE plus:

· Pension: 12% employer’s and 5% employee’s contribution (after 3 months’ service)
