In this newly created role, the Senior People and Culture Manager plays a key role in supporting the delivery of Money Ready’s people strategy through high-quality operational HR leadership. Sutton Night Watch is a registered charity which was set up to support and raise awareness for the homeless people within the London Borough of Sutton and surrounding areas.

Over the past 10 years, with the support of local business, the local community and fundraising efforts, we have been able to grow and expand into our own, permanent base in December 2019.  From here we are able to not only provide the essentials such as food, showers and clothing supplies, but we are able to also offer our service users a range of health services, benefit advice, wellbeing and educational based courses, clothes, washing facilities and most importantly, a place where people are seen, heard and understood. We also support people to find secure accommodation. In the past 3 months we have found homes for 13 people.

Job Purpose:

The Fundraising Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing fundraising strategies to secure financial support for the organization.

Our annual fundraising target is set at c250k (cash income) plus additional targets for in-kind donations, preloved donations and donated services. These support the growth and sustainability of our operations, ensuring we can continue to provide essential items and services to local people experiencing homelessness.

The Role

The Business Manager is a senior, cross-cutting role, working in close partnership with FILE’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to enable and enhance strategic alignment, organisational effectiveness, and cross-functional collaboration. This role balances strategic insight with operational excellence, ensuring the SLT works as effectively as possible while driving delivery on organisational priorities.

This is a highly facilitative, cross functional role requiring exceptional judgement, communication, and organisational skills. It operates with a birds-eye, systems level view of the organisation, acting as the connective tissue that keeps the SLT aligned. The role balances a forward-looking strategic perspective with hands on operational execution. We’re looking for an experienced strategic and analytical Research & Insights Manager to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract  to lead War Child’s high value prospect research strategy helping fundraisers to cultivate significant relationships with our high value donors.

You will help to drive income, deepen donor engagement, and strengthen the impact of our work. This is a pivotal opportunity for a data-driven professional to shape and deliver a high-impact research strategy and provide actionable insight to support War Child's Philanthropy Team.

• A collaborative, values-driven individual with excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
• Proven experience in conducting structured background research on high-net-worth individuals, company directors, and family trusts and foundation boards
• Ability to gather information from the public domain in line with data protection best practices
• Experience of developing prospect research strategies and pipeline development including network mapping & audience insights
• Knowledge of fundraising practices, donor motivations, and wealth indicators
•  An understanding of data protection, due diligence, and compliance best practices
• Strong writing skills, with the ability to tailor communications for high-value audiences.
• Exceptional communication skills, with tangible experience of building collaborative relationships across high-value fundraising teams and senior stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to work proactively and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong knowledge of CRM systems such as Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, or similar
• A background in international development or INGOs are desirable but not essential.

The successful candidate will have

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare and, be either working towards or has achieved the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
• Prior experience in residential children’s homes, including at least a year with staff supervision and management responsibility.

About the role

You’ll play a vital role in the timely and effective delivery, developing and delivering training and adoption plans to prepare users for the release of Salesforce Non-Profit Cloud, Findock, other integrations and reporting. 

You’ll keep users and benefits realisation at the centre, helping us become Fit for the Future, realise our goals around income generation and supporter experience.

What you'll do

• Enable technical and business users to adopt the new solution, processes and ways of working into business as usual.

• Assess knowledge, skills, barriers and training needs in the business and for technical users of the new platforms. 

• Collaborate with the CRM project teams, Business Lead and Salesforce implementation partner(s) to develop a training and adoption strategy and plan, aligning with the build and release of the new platforms and associated changes to process and user roles. 

• Design and deliver training and adoption engagements for the implementation of Salesforce NPC, and Findock. Make necessary adjustments based on feedback, effectiveness and the audience.

• Prepare training content to build appetite with users from the early stages of delivery right through to adoption at go live and reinforcement of skills in hypercare. 

What you'll bring

• Significant experience delivering training programmes when implementing CRM/ERP/data platforms 

• Strong record of tackling technical concepts and working with business and technical stakeholders to adopt software solutions and work with customer data 

• Experience of delivering training and adoption activity in Salesforce CRM, NPSP and/or NPC 

• Practical understanding of change management principles and adoption processes (e.g. PROSCI/ADKAR)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage people and communicate ideas
