This role will play a part in managing AllChild’s portfolio of philanthropic supporters, including Trusts, Foundations and Major Donors. You will work closely with the existing Philanthropy Officer, supporting the Philanthropy Manager to steward our existing supporters, as well as build a strong pipeline of prospective donors and secure new funding.

Guts UK is the only charity that covers the digestive system from top to tail, including the

gut, the liver and the pancreas. The charity focuses particularly on the conditions that have no other specific charity or voice - conditions that are underserved, such as pancreatitis, diverticular disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), childhood gut and liver disease, and digestive cancers. With their mission being to improve the lives of the millions of people affected by digestive conditions, they are looking for their first Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager to help them reach that goal.

The Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager is responsible for developing and implementing plans to maximise income from corporate partners and high net worth individuals with the propensity to donate significant sums. There is huge scope to develop both income streams at Guts UK, as this is the first dedicated position covering these income streams.

With some fantastic corporate partnerships in place already, there is great potential to build on the existing foundations and leverage those corporate partnerships to secure more ranging from transactional right up to transformational.

The philanthropy function has green shoots to nurture and develop. This is an exciting role for a candidate who wants to grow and shape this income stream, and demonstrate their personal impact on generating income, and providing donors with an incredible supporter experience.

This specialist manager role would suit someone who is already operating at a senior fundraiser or manager level, or someone who can demonstrate experience of developing a corporate and/or major donor pipeline, creating operational plans and delivering income. Guts UK is a small charity with big ambition so a background that includes working within a smaller charity would be helpful for the candidate to have but isn't essential.

This is one role advertised twice to ensure candidates across both hybrid locations can apply. This role is hybrid with candidates happy to work a minimum of one day per week from the London or Hudderfield office welcome to apply. The Hudderfield office address is The Media Centre, 7 Northumberland St, Huddersfield, HD1 1RL. The Fundraising Administrator works from the Huddersfield office, along with the Comms team, Research team and the Services/Helpline team. Role Requirements

• Your main objectives is to support the board and senior leadership team in ensuring the charity continues to deliver high-quality, safe, effective and financially sustainable services for vulnerable children now and in the longer-term;
• Under the guidance of the Head of Risk, Audit & Governance, and in collaboration with key stakeholders across the organisation, coordinate and manage the implementation and ongoing development of the charity’s risk management framework; risk policies, risk appetite statement; “risk universe” and board assurance framework / assurance map;
• Undertake deep dive risk assessments and provide assurance over the effectiveness of internal controls from time to time as required by Audit & Risk Committee;
• Undertake a quarterly review of key financial controls and report findings to the Finance, Finance, Investments & Resources Committee and Audit & Risk Committee;
• Monitor and report on the implementation of agreed management actions designed to strengthen risk mitigation strategies / close compliance gaps and provide assurance on these to SLT and trustees.
• Prepare the risk update for SLT, the board and each of its committees including risk heat maps and key risk indicators for the charity’s principal risks.
• Establish effective working relationships with other second line risk, quality and compliance functions and periodically monitor the effectiveness of their activities.
• Liaise with SLT directors to ensure departmental risk registers are in place and appropriately maintained.
• Facilitate risk workshops and provide online training on TCT’s risk management policy and procedures. Meet regularly with risk owners to review risk responses and progress with actions.  Ensure there is an effective process of escalation of significant risks to SLT and trustees;
• Prepare an annual review of the effectiveness of internal control and risk management for the Audit & Risk Committee;

At Ambitious about Autism, we're currently looking for a Helpdesk Administrator/IT Junior Support Engineer to join our team.

You'll Administer the IT Helpdesk function across all Ambitious About Autism sites, ensuring efficient handling of support requests. You'll monitor and report on the progress of Helpdesk requests, ensuring timely completion and keeping stakeholders informed throughout the resolution process.

• Demonstrated experience providing high-quality IT support through an IT Helpdesk environment, serving a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Proven ability to analyse and troubleshoot technical issues, identifying effective solutions for both hardware and software problems across a range of devices and systems.
• Working knowledge and hands-on experience with Windows Operating systems, Microsoft 365 and Windows networking administration.

Finance

2. Lead the financial planning for the organisation, including annual budgeting and re-forecasting as necessary and to prepare regular financial report, including management accounts, cashflow, and other reports as required by the Board, the SMT and budget holders. 
3. Provide financial information, advice and support, including training, which meets the needs of the Trustees, SMT and other staff within Pecan. In particular, work with service leads to provide all necessary financial budgeting input to funding bids and funding monitoring and reporting, ideally also upskilling the service leads in this area. 
4. Take responsibility for the day to day management and administration of the finance functions such as bank reconciliations, petty cash and donation records, accounts payables & receivables, VAT and gift aid claimed. 

Key Requirements (specific skills, qualifications required):

• Experience of working in a senior accounting role, including budget and financial policy formulation.
• A track record of preparing management accounts and other financial reports.

The Role and Responsibilities

The role of “The Director” is to lead the charity ‘hands-on’ in the delivery of its unique 24/7 crisis service, to be responsible for the charity’s business functions, and to build and sustain a culture of relationships with staff, volunteers, funders, and other stakeholders that exemplify Maytree’s values day to day.

A full-time position requiring visibility and some flexibility of hours to accommodate evening or weekend events, and occasional gaps in cover.

The Initiatives and Partnerships Manager plays a key role in the Trust’s Initiatives and Partnerships Team. The post holder will support the development and implementation of the Trust’s projects, manage team members and on occasion support external and partnership projects. Our work is varied, ranging from early-stage feasibility planning, partnership development, fundraising, business planning and design development, as well as supporting our conservation team who lead construction phase oversight.

Conciliation Resources (CR) is an independent international organisation working with people in conflict to prevent violence, resolve conflicts and promote peaceful societies. We believe that building sustainable peace takes time. We provide practical support to help people affected by violent conflict achieve lasting peace. Job Purpose

The purpose of the IT Manager role is to lead CR’s internal IT operations and infrastructure. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the IT Manager will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of our IT systems, ensuring their reliability, security, and alignment with the company's strategic goals.

While the role is based in London, it needs to provide oversight to the global IT systems of the organisation, ensuring systems will function effectively in all operating contexts, taking into account issues such as internet bandwidth and electricity reliability.

The role is supported by an IT Officer who handles the majority of user-facing support issues, and can draw on a long-term part-time IT consultant who has a deep knowledge of the organisation’s IT systems and infrastructure. This allows the IT Manager to focus more on strategic planning information and infrastructure management, and IT project delivery.

The successful candidate will provide a balance of strategic and operational skills. While they will be able to draw on the IT Officer and Consultant for much hands-on work, they will, at times, need to take on more of the operational tasks. At the same time, they must possess the judgement and insight to understand the technical landscape, determine organisational needs, and identify and engage external specialists as needed.

Knowledge

• Strong understanding of current IT operating environment, including hardware and software, and upcoming innovations and challenges.

• Understanding of risks and threats, particularly in a context of working with partners in states with a history of cyber-attacks.

• Understanding of how AI tools can be utilised for improving organisational effectiveness and efficiency.

Experience

  You will provide a comprehensive homelessness service to customers with a range of housing related issues on behalf of Publica and involved with assisting in the day to day running of Publica’s Homeless Hostel’s.
  Creating individual housing plans for every applicant which fully reflects their needs and circumstances, whilst managing and resolving caseloads for those currently experiencing a housing crisis. Sourcing appropriate short term and long term accommodation to assist the council in discharging its duties, whilst maintaining accurate records both written and electronically and ensuring they are captured and recorded accurately.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team of 28 staff, ideally before the end of 2025.

This is a hybrid role of 3 to 4 days a week with a minimum of 2 days a week based at the office in Talgarth, LD3 0BW.

We offer flexibility around working hours, with the expectation of trustee meeting attendance 3 times a year, and weekly management and team meetings on-site over 2 days. We offer 24 days holiday (pro rata), plus 8 statutory public holidays (not pro rata). The starting salary is £60,000 (pro rata) plus a 6% employer pension contribution on a salary sacrifice scheme.

The CFO works alongside the Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer to manage the finances and governance of The Wye and Usk Foundation (WUF), a conservation charity with an annual income between £1.5m and £2m.

Given the retirement of the current postholder at the end of 2025, we are seeking a well-qualified and experienced individual to take on this senior leadership role as soon as possible to enable handover to occur.

The role is very varied and wide-ranging, including presenting financial information and management accounts to the trustees and senior management on a monthly basis, maintaining annual budgeting, appraising internal project budgets and contracts, preparing annual statutory accounts in line with the Charity SORP and liaising with external auditors, and managing the VAT requirements for the organisation on a partial VAT basis.

The postholder will lead a team of three in the finance department and join a very knowledgeable and welcoming team of 28 highly engaged and passionate staff at WUF.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Working alongside the CEO, the CFO will provide commercial, financial and governance management and leadership for WUF. The CFO will not only be an exceptional accountant, with executive oversight of the finance function, but will be commercially astute and have the confidence to represent robustly the best interests of WUF. The CFO will also be an experienced manager of people.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Act as a business partner to support and constructively challenge the CEO in the general management of WUF, reporting to the trustees.
2. Lead all aspects of the finance function (including maintaining and developing the financial control environment; robust financial accounting; cashflow management; incisive management information; clear and concise reporting to the trustees) to ensure that the Charity and the Companies’ assets are secured, risks are managed, and the Board of Trustees can make well-informed decisions.
3. Manage relationships with auditors, funders, banks, investment platforms (with assistance from the trustees), and other external organisations.
4. Provide support to project bids and the development of other commercial opportunities to ensure that bids/opportunities are optimised for WUF.
5. Provide input to project and programme delivery from time to time, to ensure that performance is maximised for WUF.
6. Attend trustee meetings and Finance and General Purposes Committee meetings to guide the Board of Trustees and the Senior Management Team on financial, commercial and governance issues.
7. Ensure compliance with the requirements of the Charity Commission and Companies House and, from time to time, provide guidance to members of WUF on good governance practice.

What the job involves

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and it’s harming too many lives. At Prostate Cancer UK, one of our top priorities is funding research that leads to real change. It’s vital we do our best to make sure this research makes a meaningful difference to men’s lives, and that’s where you come in.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Senior Research Officer to help us deliver our funding schemes and patient and public involvement work.  This role sits in the Research Funding Team and will provide us with additional support during an exciting time while we implement a new grants management system. You’ll work across all our grant funding schemes, ensuring we are following best practise in research funding.

You’ll take responsibility for a small portfolio of active research grants, providing support and guidance to the researchers leading them. You’ll be a main point of contact for grant applicants, supporting them as they apply to us and will be responsible for running peer review. Using your understanding of research funding and administration, you’ll help make sure our funding schemes run smoothly and to time. You’ll work with colleagues to support patient and public involvement in research both in our review process and through our Patient Representative Network who help researchers make sure their work is focussed on the needs of men with prostate cancer.

This role is a fixed term to cover an internal secondment for 12 months.

What we want from you

We’re looking for a Senior Research Officer who is passionate about research and has a desire to develop knowledge of prostate cancer. You’ll hold a biomedical degree (or a degree in a related subject), or with equivalent experience gained in research funding, administration or the wider research sector.

You’ll already have a good grasp of how grant funding works and, ideally, some experience of research administration and peer review. Confidence in interpreting complex scientific information is important, as you’ll be using this knowledge to find the right people to peer review the grant applications that are submitted to our schemes.

You're also an accurate record keeper with a keen eye for detail and excellent time management skills. You're assured and clear in your communication, both written and verbal, and you're able to respond to a wide range of inquiries from researchers while always adhering to data protection and confidentiality best practices.  Experience of using Symplectic’s Grant Tracker would be an advantage but is not essential.

Reporting to the CEO, you’ll directly manage four experienced team heads and oversee a high-performing team of 18 who generate bursary, unrestricted, and capital income.
