About the role

You will be part of the regional office team, managing a group of casework administrators. The team provides specialist administrative support and act as a single point of contact to SSAFA branch-based volunteers ensuring that SSAFA beneficiaries receive consistent, timely, and high-quality service. The RCM role will involve developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with volunteers, including branch-based casework managers.  Additionally, the RCM will occasionally assist the Regional Casework Co-ordinators with call handling, signposting, and triaging initial client enquiries.

To help you establish yourself in this post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA.  You will influence the processes and procedures within the regional office as it develops, working closely with a dedicated team under the guidance of the Regional Manager.

Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the North West region consisting of Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Isle of Man, Lancashire and Merseyside. You will occasionally be required to travel within the North West Region or to other locations.

About the team

The regional office is a “virtual” office and supports the six SSAFA branches in the North West of England region, as the branch-based volunteers deliver casework for SSAFA beneficiaries.  The successful candidate will work as part of a larger support team which will include 5 Casework Administrators and a Regional Manager.  All team members are home based, residing in the region.

About you

To excel in this role, you should have a solid educational background and experience in managing employees, as well as overseeing and reporting on service delivery.  You should have a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, achieving results through negotiation and influence.  Previous experience of working with volunteers would be advantageous.  You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard and be capable of learning a computerised case management system quickly. Additionally, you should be skilled with numerical data.

The successful candidate will be capable of planning and managing their own workload, with minimal supervision and have considerable experience of managing accounts.

It would be desirable to have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families. Senior Night Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker

Job Title: Senior Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker 

Location: Based in Catford in a well connected area near Bellingham, Catford, and Catford Bridge stations, with nearby bus stops. Please be kindly aware there is no step free access at this location and some of our other sites.

Salary: £28,000

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a rota which includes 3 to 4 night shifts a week between 20:00 - 08:30. There may be some flexibility required around these hours as per service requirements.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker to cover the night shift in our service based in Lewisham which offers specialist intensive rehabilitation for people who require more enhanced interventions than that which is offered by commissioned community services. We support residents who live with us for up to nine months and have been discharged from acute wards to avoid admission into inpatient rehabilitation. We support our residents to step down into less supported accommodation to become more independent and integrated into the community. 

In this role, you will be the main point of contact during the night shift, leading the team by example and providing specialist support to empower the team and residents to ensure resident safety, wellbeing, and progress towards their recovery goals. You will support in managing and creating an environment everyone feels safe and empowered, and are building relationships with relevant partners and individuals key towards their journey. You will create support plans, plan and hold activities, and further support them to achieve greater independence. you’ll deliver one to one therapeutic support, act as a key worker, and help residents develop the skills and confidence to manage their mental health and wellbeing. You’ll also contribute to support plans, reflective learning, and team development, while maintaining a safe and positive living environment through effective housing management and day to day support. The night shift plays a crucial role in continuing the high quality care provided during the day, ensuring a safe, respectful, and responsive environment for residents. night staff are expected to remain awake, alert, and actively engaged throughout their shift. Sleeping while on duty is strictly prohibited and may lead to disciplinary action, including dismissal for gross misconduct.

Some key responsibilities include:

• Being the lead point of contact for the night shift, supporting the team and residents with specific needs and queries
• Supporting night shifts across two residential properties.
• Providing tailored, person centred support that promotes recovery, rehabilitation and independence.
• Helping residents build skills and confidence to move towards independent or supported living.
• Monitoring residents’ wellbeing, carrying out regular checks, and responding to any incidents or emergencies.

· Develop and deliver HI UK’s strategy for high-net-worth individuals.

· Lead on the new Capital Campaign, 2026-2030, for HI UK.

· Work closely with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and family foundations to develop high-value philanthropic partnerships and ensure sustained, long-term support.

· Secure five- and six-figure major gifts from a diverse and sustainable base of major donors.

Capital Campaign

Our new Capital Campaign will be an invaluable tool for you in developing funding from high-net-worth individuals in the UK. You will lead on its launch and recruit a Campaign Committee, stewarding them to deliver results.

Relationship Management

You will lead on the development and stewardship of long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and family foundations.

Income Growth

Collaboration

Guts UK is the only charity that covers the digestive system from top to tail, including the gut, the liver and the pancreas. The charity focuses particularly on the conditions that have no other specific charity or voice - conditions that are underserved, such as pancreatitis, diverticular disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), childhood gut and liver disease, and digestive cancers. With their mission being to improve the lives of the millions of people affected by digestive conditions, they are looking for their first Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager to help them reach that goal.

The Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager is responsible for developing and implementing plans to maximise income from corporate partners and high net worth individuals with the propensity to donate significant sums. There is huge scope to develop both income streams at Guts UK, as this is the first dedicated position covering these income streams.

With some fantastic corporate partnerships in place already, there is great potential to build on the existing foundations and leverage those corporate partnerships to secure more ranging from transactional right up to transformational.

The philanthropy function has green shoots to nurture and develop. This is an exciting role for a candidate who wants to grow and shape this income stream, and demonstrate their personal impact on generating income, and providing donors with an incredible supporter experience.

This specialist manager role would suit someone who is already operating at a senior fundraiser or manager level, or someone who can demonstrate experience of developing a corporate and/or major donor pipeline, creating operational plans and delivering income. Guts UK is a small charity with big ambition so a background that includes working within a smaller charity would be helpful for the candidate to have but isn't essential.

As Trusts and Philanthropy Manager, you will contribute to the development and implementation of plans to grow income from grant making trusts, major donors and statutory funders. You will manage and develop a pipeline of trust and philanthropy prospects using the CRM, effectively moving donors through solicitation stages and fulfilling the pipeline with new prospects. You will develop excellent and persuasive funder proposals, using accurate and impactful project information collected from relevant teams. You will also produce progress reports to meet funder requirements and deliver exemplar and creative stewardship to donors.

To be considered for this role you will need: 

• A successful track record in trusts fundraising including developing multi-year proposals for 5 and 6 figure gifts.
• An up-to-date knowledge of the trust fundraising landscape and a working knowledge of research sources and methodologies.
• Experience in effectively stewarding funder relationships.

The Jobs, Education and Training (JET) team works with young people facing homelessness to support them into meaningful and appropriate employment, training opportunities, apprenticeships, volunteering, and education. Royal Medical Benevolent Fund (RMBF) provide advice and financial assistance in the form of grants at times of crisis and hardship.  Our work is funded through a combination of donations, legacies and returns on our investments.

The Head of Finance & IT will manage the relationships with the three investment managers and the outsourced IT providers.  It is a varied role, combining the strategic with the hands-on.  It will suit a versatile individual who is happy to transition between multiple tasks.  No two days will be the same.  One moment you might be writing or reviewing Board papers, the next you might be managing an IT support call and then later on you might be rolling up your sleeves to post the final journal entries to complete the management accounts.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Finance

• Accurate, timely and user-friendly management accounts, cash flow projections and other relevant financial information, with associated recommendations where appropriate
• An annual budget and accompanying management commentary
• Draft statutory accounts which meet the latest SORP requirements, producing the audit file and being the lead contact for the Fund’s auditors during the annual external audit
• Full compliance with UK charity and company financial regulations; and appropriate financial controls in place and complied with
• The development and keeping up to date of a Finance department handbook, covering finance policies, practices and procedures
• Successful leadership and development of the finance team
• The development of, and assistance with the implementation of, financial strategies to enable the Fund to achieve its long-term goals
• Support The Finance Committee’s investment management and monitor the Investment managers’ performance
• Managing the payroll function (outsourced)
• Managing the relationship with the pension scheme provider and staff salary sacrifice arrangements.

Information Technology

• Responsible for the development and implementation of the RMBF’s Information Technology strategy
• Management and development of an accurate, up to date, user-friendly database to provide relevant information to support all areas of the RMBF’s work including casework, fundraising and communications
• Cost effective development and use of IT within the Fund, to enable staff to make good use of IT for communication, record keeping and management information
• Managing the relationship with the Fund’s outsourced IT support companies.

Person Specification

• Qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience
• Good understanding of charity SORP
• Experienced in preparing charity statutory accounts
• Experienced in charity investment management; good understanding of charity investment and restricted funds
• Good understanding of stakeholder pension and latest regulatory requirement
• IT literate including database management and development and an advanced user of the Microsoft Office package
