The Multiple System Atrophy Trust (MSA Trust) is the UK and Eire’s leading national charity offering vital support to people affected by MSA – a terminal neurodegenerative disease. 

About the Role

To lead on the Trust’s Policy and Communications work. To ensure our strategy and work in this area is led by the specific needs of people affected by MSA. This will require effective contact between the Trust and people affected by MSA, a range of health and care professionals; in order to develop their engagement in a professional and supportive way. To be an ambassador for change in wider society, working in the best interests of people affected by MSA. To develop and ensure effective external communications and dialogue with people affected by MSA and facilitate positive collaboration with other relevant agencies and policymakers. To co-ordinate marketing and clear messaging to key stakeholders.

To promote the development of this element of work within the MSA Trust, which may include future line management responsibility as the work develops.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the CEO, internal teams, Services Committee, and other colleagues to set and deliver an integrated Policy and External Communications strategy for the MSA Trust. 
• Be responsible for the development and delivery of an operational plan with targets and be accountable for the budget in this area.
• Lead on policy and campaigning work, ensuring priorities reflect the views of people with MSA.
• Be responsible for the Trust’s external communications and messaging.  
• Be responsible for ensuring that the development and output of our communications and policy work are inclusive and reflect the diversity of our MSA community.
• Play a key role in the development and effectiveness of national and local voluntary networks that support shared ambitions for the neurology sector.
• Play a key role in the production of MSA News – the Trust’s flagship publication for members.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure our services are compliant with relevant policies, procedures and relevant legislative frameworks.
• Create positive relationships with MSA Trust colleagues, Trustees, and external networks to share knowledge, insight and evidence.

Who are you?

In this role, you will work on some of the world’s most pressing issues - you will create and launch best in class digital campaigns that mobilise audiences across the world to make change.

We are looking for a digital and social expert, who has varied digital campaigning expertise: you will lead and implement paid and organic campaigns, analyse audience and insights data,, and co-develop multi-platform creative ideas.

You will build relationships with a broad range of clients, advising and consulting on how they can launch genuinely innovative digital campaigns - delivering fantastic results and measurable impact.

Ideally, you will be someone with 3-5 years experience activating digital campaigns in a communications agency or inhouse. Key responsibilities

Campaign management/optimization

• Develop efficient and effective multi-channel digital campaigns, that integrate into wider strategies to help our clients change the world

• Developing and implementing paid media plans including forecasting, KPI setting and audience development for channels including: Google Ads, Linkedin, Meta, TikTok, Twitter/X and beyond.

• Develop standout social content concepts that are tailored to each platform’s best practice – from thumb-stopping hooks and visuals to smart use of formats, trends and tools.

• Run paid and organic social media campaigns - from drafting copy, setting up paid social media advertising, and developing digital strategies. 

• Leading the analysis of campaigns in real-time and on a going basis, to recommend and deliver optimisations against key metrics e.g. impressions share, quality score, conversion rate and budgets.

Job Purpose 

The Marketing & Communications Executive plays a key role in supporting the Clubhouse Manager to promote and develop the Community Clubhouse as a welcoming, inclusive, and vibrant community hub at the heart of the Selsdon community. The postholder will lead on marketing and communications activity while co-ordinating community lunches, events, and volunteer involvement. The role supports increased attendance, stronger community engagement, and the smooth delivery of clubhouse activities.

Marketing & Communications 

• Support the development and delivery of the Community Clubhouse marketing and engagement strategy.

The role would also include working with Press and Corporate Comms teams as well as handling Community volunteer enquiries and bookings.  After a successful probabtion period there will be the opportunity of developing the scope of the role as our communications lead. Whilst largely Comms based you will also help lead volunteer days interacting with green spaces, older peoples centres, schools and coprorate volunteer teams big and small.Whilst every week is different, you would typically spend three days on comms work and two days helping lead volunteer teams.

You will lead on communications for Afghanaid, overseeing print, digital, and paid marketing activities and the growth of communications channels. You will execute Afghanaid’s organisational brand strategy which ensures the integrity of the brand and maximises awareness. You will manage all public relations including crisis communications, as well as the growth of strategic media placements and high profile relationships. You will drive the success of organisational impact storytelling and communications for both internal and external stakeholders. As a member of the executive department, you will collaborate and synergise with other departments to promote organisational success.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

You will be an experienced and dynamic communicator with significant demonstrable experience in fundraising and/or communications at a senior level, coupled with an awareness and up to date knowledge and experience of the tools that would maximise the success of our communications and fundraising activities. Education/ Training

Master’s Degree in communications, marketing, public fundraising or another relevant field (or at least 5-years’ experience).

Work Experience

• At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising, supporter engagement or communications, with at least 2 years’ experience directly managing staff.

• Experience developing and leading integrated multi-channel and multi-stakeholder communications, engagement and/or fundraising strategies.

Blood Cancer UK is looking for a Direct Marketing Manager to deliver innovative, insight-led direct marketing campaigns that grow supporter engagement and maximize income. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative, high-performing team and help shape digital fundraising products and campaigns that make a real difference to people affected by blood cancer.

Based in London with hybrid working options (2–4 days per month in the office may increase dependent on business needs) this role offers hands-on campaign delivery, opportunities to develop new fundraising products, and the chance to contribute to strategic digital acquisition. You'll work within a small, dedicated and talented team and will play a central role in shaping how Brain Research UK tells its story; leading the development of high-quality, impact led content that brings research and lived experience together to build support loyalty and increase public engagement and understanding.

The role has real scope for impact and innovation and will work closely with colleagues from across the charity, including the CEO, to build on strong foundations. Core responsibilities within the role will include:

• Lead all digital communications, including website, social media and online campaigns
• Manage and create content for the website, overseeing written, visual and video
• Develop and deliver a planned schedule of communications activity across all channels.
• Develop and maintain a compelling library of supporter stories (written, film and imagery), ensuring appropriate permissions and coverage across key research areas
• Work with colleagues to source, craft and share stories that demonstrate impact and inspire support
• Collaborate with colleagues to translate funded research into clear, engaging stories that show how science changes lives
• Work closely with the fundraising team to optimise digital communications
• Engage with and respond to the organisation's online community in a timely, supportive and professional manner
• Ensure consistent use of brand, tone and values in line with brand guidelines
• Track and analyse digital performance using tools such as Google Analytics and income reports, using insight to continuously improve effectiveness
• Report on how communications activity drives engagement, enquiries, donations and pledges

• Previous experience within a communications role within a charity or similar organisation
• Demonstrable experience of leading on storytelling, narrative development or content creation that has driven engagement or fundraising outcomes, with the ability to identify the emotional heart of a story and shape it appropriately for different audiences and channels
• Experience planning and delivering social media content using a structured schedule
• Experience developing e-communications to build loyalty and engagement
• Experience managing website content
• Understanding of online community management and supporter engagement
• Confidence using analytics tools to measure and report on digital performance

Job Purpose

· To lead and shape School Food Matters’ policy and advocacy strategy, ensuring our voice influences national and local decision-making on school food and food education

· To design and deliver campaigns that support and advance SFM’s mission

Key Tasks

· Lead and provide strategic input to campaigns, convene groups and partnerships

· Represent SFM at external meetings and coalitions such as the School Food Review

The Role
As Marketing Officer you will play a key role in developing and executing marketing campaigns and activities to enhance the charity’s brand, engage target audience(s) and achieve the charity’s strategic objectives.

Specifically, you will:

· Conduct market research to understand the competitive landscape, sector trends and identify supporter needs.

· Lead the development and approval of high-quality marketing briefs.

· Support the development, testing and refinement of marketing propositions through qualitative and quantitative research.

· Lead project / campaign planning, including defining objectives and KPIs, recommending channel strategy, marketing budgets and creating project plans. 

· Lead project delivery teams and meetings, working with key stakeholders across the charity to ensure relevant stakeholders are included / kept informed.

· Project-manage marketing and campaign delivery, working with internal teams and external partners. Plan and execute marketing activities, coordinating workstreams across different teams to meet key campaign / project milestones.

· Work with internal and external marketing experts to create effective marketing plans and insightful and engaging marketing creative. For example, this may include working with creative, digital marketing and media agencies.

· Lead the development of engaging marketing content and collateral for a range of channels – from digital, social, web and email to printed literature and direct mail. For example, this may include developing marketing messages, identifying and working with case studies, leading photography and photo/video shoots.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

· To be educated to degree level or equivalent qualification or work experience in related field.

· To have marketing experience at a similar level or in a similar role

· To have experience of working effectively with external suppliers (including marketing agencies) to procure marketing services / materials / merchandise.
