Who we're looking for
We’re looking for a Communications Lead with excellent written communication skills to help us promote the Centre’s research, campaigns and services across a range of channels. You will ensure our written and visual outputs are of the highest quality, and harness the Centre’s respected brand and reputation to influence change.
Day-to-day tasks include:
- Copy-editing and proofreading a range of written materials, including blogs and publications
- Laying out our research reports for publication using Adobe InDesign
- Creating on-brand, engaging infographics and social media assets
- Writing and curating content to post to our social media channels
- Producing the Centre's monthly newsletter using Mailchimp
- Issuing press releases and responding to press enquiries
We're looking for someone with strong attention to detail, experience of using Adobe InDesign or Adobe Illustrator, with skills in writing copy for a range of key audiences and channels.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about tackling mental health inequalities, mindful of the sensitivities of communicating in this area, and able to harness and promote the Centre’s respected brand to drive change.

This role reports to the Senior Storytelling Manager with close alignment with colleagues across the marcomms directorate. The marcomms manager will be responsible for managing marketing campaigns in the South East and London Region of England and promoting SSAFA’s fundraising initiatives and services. THE ROLE
The full-time Creative Communications and Events Officer works within the Communications team to help inform the public about antisemitism using a variety of media.
You will be joining our small, fast-paced, entrepreneurial staff team based at our office in central London.
The role brings a diverse set of responsibilities and an opportunity to work within a charitable organisation with a strong sense of purpose.
Responsibilities
- You will design graphics across our organisation, from social media posts and placards to pamphlets to pledge cards
- Work with creative colleagues to conceive and implement a variety communications campaigns to raise awareness about antisemitism and educate the public, sometimes at short notice and with tight deadlines
- Provide logistical support for communications projects, including scouting and booking locations, ordering materials, liaising with third parties and conducting internal research
- Plan, script, shoot and edit videos on various topics for different audiences on our numerous social media channels
- Growing our social media presence, including paid campaigns, to maximise reach and engagement
- Play a significant role in podcast production, from researching and booking guests to audio and visual editing

As the Fundraising & Digital Engagement Manager, you will:
- Lead the development and delivery of the charities Fundraising and Engagement strategic plan, ensuring alignment with broader marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling multimedia content, including videos, digital advertisements, email campaigns, case studies, and landing pages.
- Expand social media presence by identifying, creating, and scheduling engaging and relevant content.
- Monitor and manage the performance of live campaigns, taking the lead on evaluating and reporting outcomes for all fundraising and engagement activities within the test-and-learn framework.
- Partner with colleagues to design and implement digital fundraising products and initiatives aimed at engaging target audiences.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date supporter records to support the growth and effective use of the charity supporter database.
- Support the development and execution of a coordinated supporter journey to strengthen donor engagement and expand the donor base.

Islamic Relief UK (IRUK) is recruiting for the position of ‘Digital Product Specialist’ on a permanent, full-time basis, to be based from its Waterloo Office, London. The organisation is currently operating to a hybrid working model.
Job Purpose:
- Manage the digital assets of Islamic Relief UK, particularly the website, ensuring that it operates in an optimal manner.
- Manage the development, evolution and/or integration of digital assets, e.g. digital giving platforms and digital events management systems.
- Ensure all development projects have well considered user interfaces and provide an optimal user experience.
- Provide the Digital Marketing team support with technical SEO, email marketing, and tracking/reporting across key digital marketing platforms.
The successful candidate must have:
- Proven record of excellent people and interpersonal skills with strong communication skills at individual and group levels.
- Experience of managing web development projects
- Experience of working with internal clients and diverse teams
- Experience of delivering with a marketing budget and using resources effectively to successfully balance creative aspirations with limited financial and other resources

- Commercially aware, with good understanding of budget management
- Ability to communicate technical information and requirements to non-technical management and internal stakeholders
- Experienced in working from wireframes and written design briefs to build mobile responsive solutions

In this exciting role and working with our award-winning rail programme, the Media and Communications Manager will take the lead in developing, delivering and managing Samaritans’ communications and media activity relating to rail suicide prevention in order to raise awareness, engage supporters & stakeholders and positively influence the wider media’s reporting of suicides.

The Role
This post will operate at a national level alongside similar posts in the rail industry. It will seek to develop ties with all train operator and Network Rail communications team and will play a key role in delivering Samaritans messages at a national level.
This position will work across both the Network Rail Partnership team and the External Affairs team in order to provide dedicated focus, resource and specialist expertise – providing a conduit for these skills and colleagues in the rail sector.
Skills and experience you’ll need
In this role, you’ll need experience of working in a press office, PR agency, or similar role within a wider communications team or media outlet, having developed excellent communication and written skills, along with a good working knowledge of UK media landscape, a strong news sense and experience selling-in.
Working with stakeholders across the rail industry, you’ll have experience of influencing, negotiating and, ideally, partnership working. Warm, personable and friendly, you’ll have strong interpersonal skills and be able to build and maintain relationships with many different groups of people.
Highly organised and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines, you’ll be a self-starter with experience of successful project management. You’ll need compassion and resilience to work with exposure to incidents and stories that may be upsetting.
