This is an exciting opportunity to lead our social media team and help strategically shape the role of paid and organic social across Family Action’s channels, including those under the Relate brand. You will manage a team of two Social Media Executives and drive brand awareness, income generation and service marketing whilst also providing strategic insight around wider external engagement activity.
Main Responsibilities (for details check the job description and person specification):
• Lead on the development and delivery of paid and organic social media activity across both Family Action and Relate brands.
• Refine Family Action’s social media strategy in line with key brand, income generation and service marketing objectives
• Work with the Head of Digital Marketing and Senior Social Media Executive to develop a paid social and sales strategy to drive purchases of services and toolkits from Relate
• Lead on the development and delivery of sophisticated Meta and LinkedIn ad campaigns at each stage of the donation/purchase funnel ie. awareness, interest, conversion
• Line manage a team of two Social Media Executives responsible for the day to day management of both Relate and Family Action channels, and supporting local services and retail shops with their use of social media.

• Extensive experience of strategically managing and developing social media channels for a large organisation/group/brand.
• Significant experience of developing successful paid social media campaigns for a range of business objectives including to drive income generation
• Excellent copywriting skills and the ability to write powerfully and succinctly for different objectives, audiences and channels.
• Excellent creative skills and the ability to recognise effective imagery, and stock photography and video.
• Experience of line management and/or mentoring a junior member of the team.

About the Program
The Europe Regional Finance program has evolved out of our Financial Regulation and Policy Program that began in 2019 with a narrow focus on European central banks. Since then, we've expanded to shape financial regulation and policy globally to accelerate clean energy and create lasting systemic change in how public finance addresses climate challenges. Now the Europe Regional Finance program will focus on EU Policy and Finance and UK Policy and Finance.
About The Role
The purpose of this role is to contribute to achieving the objectives in the EU Financial Policy and Regulation project, specifically the work on public finance, fiscal policy and industrial strategy. Together with partners and allies, this role will help stop the political polarisation of net zero and contribute to building the broader case for public investment by establishing and propagating a narrative linking the opportunities of the clean energy transition with improving conditions for households and communities. This role sees the big picture and can translate it into actionable plans for maximum impact.
We support networks of organisations to work together to achieve outcomes that would not be possible by individual organisations acting alone. We expect all roles at Sunrise to actively support the capacity building of these networks and partner organisations.
About You
You have experience working on public finance, fiscal policy, or industrial strategy. You understand what it takes to hold the big picture, and translate complicated campaign strategies into actionable steps. Key Responsibilities
1. User Engagement and Relationship Management

Collaborate with the Campaigns and Advocacy Officer to formulate and promote evidence-based policy positions, engaging key stakeholders in government, healthcare, and related sectors.

Support the Campaigns and Advocacy Officer to expand the Pathfinders advocacy service and drive referrals to the service.

Represent the organisation at events, sector meetings, and forums to build our profile and increase our influence on policy issues relevant to our community.
4. Team Leadership and Development

Manage, support, and foster the professional growth of the Engagement Officer, Social Media Officer, and Campaigns and Advocacy Officer, building a collaborative and empowered team.

Set team objectives and KPIs, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback to ensure alignment with organisational goals and impact.
5. Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Development

Cultivate relationships with relevant stakeholders, including influencers, partner organisations, funders, policymakers, and the neuromuscular community.

Work closely with the CEO to manage community partnerships, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and expanding opportunities for user engagement.
6. Organisational management

Support the CEO with the overall running of the organisation by attending meetings of the management committee as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, taking on additional tasks as agreed.

Provide contingency support to the Senior Leadership Team to cover essential tasks such as reporting hours to our payroll team in the event of staff absence.

Maintain an overview of projects and teams across the organisation to provide short-term management and HR support in the event of staff shortages or incapacity.

Review, approve and document payments in the charity using our software and finance process.

Support the development of funding bids and project plans for introducing new projects.

Represent the Senior Leadership Team at external events and in meetings with Trustees and Members.
Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in communications, public policy, engagement, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

3-years experience in a communications, policy, or engagement role, ideally within a charity or non-profit setting.

Experience engaging directly with user communities and developing outreach initiatives.

Strong writing and editing skills with experience producing content for a variety of platforms including Youtube.

This month, we launched our Parent-Friendly Schools Accreditation Programme, designed to formally recognise schools that go above and beyond in fostering positive, inclusive relationships with parents. We are currently seeking a visionary and strategic leader to join our team as CEO (Freelance), with the goal of scaling our operations and increasing our annual turnover from £300k to £1M by 2030.
Key Responsibilities:
· Advocacy and Representation: Act as the public face of the charity, representing its interests at events, in the media, and with policymakers.
· Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive growth strategy to achieve the charity's financial goals.
· Fundraising and Development: Lead fundraising initiatives, including donor engagement, grant applications, and corporate partnerships.
· Financial Management: Oversee the charity's financial health, ensuring effective budgeting, financial planning, and reporting.
· Team Management: Inspire, mentor, and manage a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
· Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and the community.
· Operational Oversight: Ensure the efficient and effective operation of the charity, including program delivery, compliance, and risk management.
Qualifications and Experience:
· Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably within the non-profit sector.
· Demonstrated success in fundraising and revenue generation.
