The Role
Building relationships with the fire and rescue services in your area, you’ll become an integral part of the local fire services community. You’ll join a nation-wide team of inspiring and innovative fundraisers, working collaboratively to secure the much-needed income for the Charity.

We are seeking an energetic and highly organised individual to join our team as Community Outreach Manager to manage our new REACH programme – building relationships with voluntary and community organisations to help them support others who may struggle to overcome gambling harm - working especially with hard-to-reach audiences and ethnic minority groups.
Lived experience of gambling harm (either directly or indirectly) is an advantage but not essential requirement for this role as you will be collaborating with colleagues who will contribute their lived experience insights to inform REACH activities that you project manage. But you must be passionate about making a difference and excited by the opportunity to transform lives, support people in recovery and be sensitive to their needs.

The Role
Reporting to the PR Manager, the role will help deliver key media campaigns that call for change to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke.

About You
You will have experience of:
· Generating media coverage in Scotland, ideally in the charity sector.
· Using media to deliver calls to action to the public (eg donating, fundraising, campaigning) and/or decision makers (eg policy change).
· Planning, executing and monitoring media plans against identified briefs and overarching objectives.
· Working alongside Policy and Public Affairs colleagues.
· Creating, posting, and managing social media content.
· Reputation management and working with crisis communications teams.
· Working with colleagues from across an organisation to identify media volunteers (case studies) and developing stories to deliver media coverage.
This role requires occasional travel across the UK to attend team days, conferences and researcher events. Candidates must be able to meet this requirement of the role.

Magic Breakfast is a registered charity providing healthy breakfasts to children and young people in the UK who arrive at school too hungry to learn, and expert support to their schools. JOB PURPOSE
As part of the Brand and Marketing team, the Social Media Officer will lead on social media strategy for the organization, working closely with teams across Magic Breakfast to develop and diversify our presence on social media. Through innovative, compelling content creation the Social Media Officer will raise awareness of our work and the Magic Breakfast brand. The role's aims are to reach and engage new audiences and to strengthen brand advocacy with exisiting target audiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop Magic Breakfast social media channels to grow an engaging environment for people with lived experience of childhood morning hunger and our wider supporter network.
- Develop and deliver effective strategies that optimise and grow our social media channels.
- Liase with both Magic Breakfast and corporate partners' design, PR and social media agencies to deliver effective and timely campaigns
- Monitor, improve (through testing and optimisation) and report on the performance and effectiveness of social media content and campaigns
- Write impactful and engaging social posts, sourcing approprtiate imagery and developing video content in collaboration with the Multimedia Producer.

About the team
Community Services deliver crucial advice and support needed by individuals, families and communities impacted by the housing emergency, sharing knowledge to assert their housing rights and using the evidence gathered to push for systemic change. The team are based in our 11 hubs around England, and each is overseen by a Strategic Lead. They will report directly to you and the other Head of Community Services.
We work collaboratively with the wider Services team who deliver digital advice via our Telephone and Online Advice Services, as well as second tier advice for professionals, Legal Services, Lived Experience Insight and Quality, Compliance and Planning to ensure contract compliance and support.
The Services directorate has c600 staff and volunteers, operating from multiple locations throughout England.
About the role
An instrumental leadership role which will drive the positive change we need to end the housing emergency. You will support, inspire and motivate Hub teams, to successfully deliver homelessness and housing services through multiple funding streams. Working closely with partners and stakeholders to achieve our strategic goals. We need to shift the power dynamic, so you will make sure that the voices of people living with the housing emergency are at the heart of our work. Representing Shelter and your local areas, you will influence practice and culture, leading campaigns for change in housing.
About you
A senior leader and people manager, preferably in the homelessness and housing sector. You will have demonstrable experience of service delivery across a range of locations, as well as managing multiple contracts and budgets. You have a strong understanding of the challenges faced by homeless individuals and families, with the expertise to use evidence and insight to influence and create change. With a strong track record of leading successful strategic change, you will be able to communicate effectively, negotiate and collaborate to achieve goals.

About you
We are looking for someone who enjoys building cross-organisational relationships and is comfortable negotiating and influencing.
