The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy content design team and help the Law Society to build awareness of, engagement with and satisfaction amongst our members.

You will create, edit, publish and manage high-quality, trusted and practical resource content, working closely with subject matter experts, campaign managers and senior stakeholders.

You will use user-centred design (content design) to make complex legal, regulatory and policy issues easy to digest, using clear, engaging and accurate language.

You will publish digital content using content management systems, using website traffic and behavioural analytics tools to monitor and act on engagement.

Working closely with colleagues across communications, policy, public affairs and research, you will proactively develop your understanding of our members and other segmented audiences.

This is an exciting and varied role where your expertise and knowledge will be used to great effect to make a real impact for our members.

What we're looking for

• Experience creating, editing and publishing digital content for a professional audience
• Understanding and experience of user-centred design (content design) principles
• Ability to quickly understand complex or technical issues and translate into engaging, easy-to-understand communications

We’re looking for a creative and enthusiastic communicator to help raise Creekside’s profile and connect with a growing, diverse audience. The Charity team is responsible for raising millions of pounds each year to ensure Christie patients receive the very best care and treatment. This includes everything from access to world first clinical trials and receiving radiotherapy in state-of-the-art treatment centres, to young adults being cared for in a bespoke age-appropriate centre and being able to offer patients anxiety reducing complementary therapy, or even creative sessions in our art room.

SLRA is a well-established local migrant support organisation working with and for refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants who are at risk or in crisis because of immigration issues. We provide specialist immigration advice as well as a broad range of practical, social and therapeutic support services. We also campaign for a fairer immigration system, involving local people with lived experience in influencing local and national policy and practice. 

Our Nest Project brings advice and improved awareness and knowledge to migrant families with young children, through community settings in Lambeth and Southwark. The project aims to reach families with the information and advice they need in order to resolve their status before they fall into crisis, and allow them to live safely and access opportunities.

The Nest Project Coordinator will lead on developing partnerships with and providing training to staff and volunteers in community settings as well as providing immigration advice and casework.

• Experience of providing immigration advice and casework support to migrant individuals who have complex needs, working sensitively and effectively within community settings.
• A strong track record in establishing and developing partnership working, and delivering training/workshops within community settings.
• Authorisation to provide immigration advice at IAA Level 1 or higher, and a strong understanding of the rights and entitlements, support available to the client group and of referral processes to statutory and non-statutory support agencies.

Regular travel within the area, and occasionally to other parts of the UK.

Job Title: Known internally as Relationship Manager (South Coast)

Location: Home-based covering South Coast of England. This role covers Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey or Dorset. About The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Dementia Adviser to join Alzheimer’s Society in Rhondda-Cynon Taf and Merthyr Tydfil.
You will be part of a collaborative and supportive team of Dementia Advisors working in Rhondda-Cynon-Taf and Merthyr Tydfil. You will also support colleagues in Bridgend as part of the wider Cwm-Taf-Morgannwg team.
You will play a crucial role in helping people navigate the complexities of dementia. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of those affected by dementia, providing essential advice and guidance at some of their most challenging times.

About you

- We are looking for someone with an understanding of dementia and the needs of those living with dementia and their carers
- You will need strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to approach sensitive situations with empathy, offering non-judgmental support and guidance.
- The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
- Familiarity with using IT systems to manage referrals and record case notes will also be important.
- Someone who has working experience of assessing people face to face with an ability to assess their needs

About the role

This varied role would see you working in partnership with the local authority, communities, schools, businesses, volunteers and third sector organisations, to remove barriers to transport, increase levels of public health and wellbeing, and protect our local environment.

You would be working in our Active Travel Hubs in the Tees Valley, which provide helpful services and interventions to make walking, wheeling and cycling the natural choice for shorter journeys in the Tees Valley. This is an exciting and ambitious project part of the UK’s largest network of Active Travel Hubs, working together to transform how Tees Valley residents travel for their everyday journeys.

Key responsibilities could include:

• Planning, organisation, administration and in-person delivery for behaviour change and engagement projects and events
• Community and stakeholder engagement
• Leading workshops
• Leading guided bike rides and running Cycle Confidence Sessions
• Risk assessments to ensure the wellbeing and safety of your team and the community
• Maintaining project documentation

Candidates should be based within the Tees Valley geographical area. Your time will be split between Middlesbrough and Redcar active travel hub for the first post holder or between Stockton and Redcar Active Travel Hub for the second post holder.

This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.

About you

You will have strong administrative skills and be competent in the use of the Microsoft Office suite. 

You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, alongside knowledge of safeguarding principles.
