Campaign Manager
We are seeking a Campaign Manager to oversee our newly recruited staff team and ensure effective delivery of the campaign, with a particular focus on political influencing, policy and research.
Campaign Manager Responsibilities:
To date the campaign has been entirely run by volunteers, but as it has grown and developed there has been an increasing need for staff support to ensure that we are as effective as possible and have the best possible chance of achieving our campaign objectives. More than 36,000 men, women and children in the UK have a diagnosed bleeding disorder, and the number rises every year. Membership of The Haemophilia Society is free and open to all.
Purpose of the Post
We are seeking a Support Engagement Officer who will report to the Supporter Engagement Manager. The creation of this post will allow us to further grow and enhance our levels of engagement with our members and network of stakeholders
Key duties & Responsibilities
- To support the Supporter Engagement Manager in the planning and delivery of services for people affected by a genetic bleeding disorder.
- Sourcing venues for our events and assessing their suitability for our services. Acting as the point of contact for venues and liaising with speakers and volunteers over logistics.
- Attending events to help with the delivery of services to ensure a positive experience for members.
- To support the management and coordination of the patient information publications as guided by the Supporter Engagement Manager.
- To work with the wider Haemophilia Society team to ensure the promotion of services across the UK to members and ensuring good working relationships with health professionals and other contacts.
- To ensure quality standards are monitored and maintained, as agreed with the Supporter Engagement Manager.
- Work with the Supporter Engagement manger to administer and develop the processes required to maintain good membership engagement.
- Proactively reach out to members to drive engagement and increase supporter numbers as informed by the engagement plan.
- To maintain excellent records of activity across all service areas, providing regular updates to the Supporter Engagement Manager ensuring recording systems are kept efficiently and accurately, and conform to data protection legislation.
- To act as first line contact for local groups supporting their needs and liaising with other members of the team to enable their development.
- To coordinate and administer volunteer activities

Person Specification
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Experience of planning and delivering events and services
- Experience of working with a variety of stakeholders, for example service users, colleagues and volunteers.
- Good working knowledge of IT systems including Windows and packages including Microsoft Office (in particular Word, Excel and Outlook).
Desirable
- Experience of working with Raiser’s Edge database
- Experience of working within the charity or health sector
- A knowledge of inherited bleeding disorders

Other requirements
- Must be prepared to travel throughout the UK and to work varying hours including evenings and weekends as required.

This is a great opportunity to work with a small and successful fundraising team. Your role will primarily be data-driven, managing the regular imports of data from a variety of sources, as well as mining the data for reporting purposes and maintaining excellent data hygiene on our Salesforce database.
You will also provide support to the Individual Giving Manager and Digital Fundraising Manager with regards to new fundraising campaigns, stewardship and supporter engagement.
For this full-time position (37.5 hrs) we can offer the role as part-time (30 hrs) if candidate prefers to work part-time. This role cannot be offered on a term time only basis.

We are seeking an experienced communications professional to lead our media engagement and communications for our policy and campaigning work. The role will be integral to our campaigning to strengthen protections for pregnant women and new mothers in the workplace and the social security system, and to challenge the policy of charging for NHS maternity care and other hostile environment policies. The role will build relationships with journalists and place stories, plan and deliver communications in support of specific policy and campaigning activities, deliver content for our social media channels and website. This is a new role and will work closely with our policy team, Public Affairs Officer and Communications Officer (Advice and Information).
We are looking for an experienced professional with experience in building relationships with journalists and placing stories, experience in campaigning for change, and knowledge of current debates in either employment; migration and asylum; or women’s rights. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and spoken communications skills, excellent organisational skills and team working, and a commitment to women’s rights.

The role can be based at our office in Finsbury Park, London or delivered from home from any location in the UK. The post is for 21 hours a week.
