Main duties:

• To identify and research themes for each issue, sourcing and managing contributors to ensure the magazine has a clear, consistent, relevant and interesting voice to the readership.
• To lead on planning, sourcing contributors, writing and managing content of Under 5 magazine, 10 issues produced every year
• To liaise with Communications and External Affairs colleagues to ensure that corporate partnership publicity, advertorial, editorial and competition deals are delivered to meet terms of contra deals in relevant issues of Under 5.
• To write, edit and upload regular online news stories for selected digital communication including planning, writing and managing content for the fortnightly Under 5 e-newsletter.

Essential criteria:

• Proven experience of working on magazine in an editorial role with an ability to lead on commissioning, writing, sub-editing and proofing professional copy.
• Excellent journalistic writing skills, with the ability to write concise and accurate news copy.
• Clear understanding and practical experience of managing magazine print and production processes
• Strong interpersonal skills with direct experience of managing internal and external suppliers, journalists, production staff, advertisers and contributors.
• Strong creative and written skills with an ability to produce clear, accurate and interesting copy tailored for different audiences.

We’re looking to grow our delivery team with a brand new role that is responsible for processing the referrals we receive for the Settle Programme as well as holding assessment meetings as and when necessary. The successful candidate will also be a Senior Settle Coach holding a reduced caseload and using their frontline skills to work one-to-one with care-experienced young people across London.

For this role, we anticipate that you will spend 50-60% of your time processing and responding to referrals, including taking further steps to assess the needs of the young person who has been referred. To do this you’ll work closely with our Programme Management team, Business Development team and referral partners to ensure that we have all the necessary information to deal safely and appropriately with referrals. As this is a new role to the organisation, there will be scope to shape and influence the way this work is managed alongside your manager and our Chief Operating Officer.

We then anticipate you will spend the remaining 40-50% of your time as a Senior Settle Coach, working on the frontline, delivering one-to-one sessions with care-experienced young people across London. You’ll work closely with our partners to ensure the smooth delivery of our contracts and with the Programme Management team and Senior Partnerships Manager to support reporting on outcomes and regular partnership meetings.

You will report into a manager within the Programme Management team.

Candidates with experience of assessing and managing risk are encouraged to apply. Essential requirements include the ability to hold multiple perspectives alongside each other, ability to approach risk and need from a curious perspective, comfort and ability to escalate concerns as well as strong people skills. The role of Retail Co-ordinator is crucial to the smooth and efficient operation of The Children’s Trust retail head office function. The postholder will be responsible for co-ordinating and running the administration and compliance needs required for a disperse network of charity shops, including being the gatekeeper for the Chariot EPOS system, Retail Gift Aid and New bought in goods, supporting the supply and distribution of stock; shop supplies, and associated stakeholder relationships.

Role Requirements

• Manage the Retail EPOS till and Head-office systems to maximise functionality to drive sales and promotions, create reports to support analysis of shops performance. 
• Support the Retail Sales Manager to manage generation and distribution of stock, including preparing documentation for van deliveries and collections to meet both shops, customer and donor requirements.
• Support sales promotions by printing and issuing guidelines and promotional materials i.e. fundraising events and seasonal changes across the chain of shops. 
• Maintain key internal and external stakeholder relationships including Retail Gift Aid donors, corporate supporters and internal support teams, ensuring that an efficient and compliant service is maintained.
• Manage the shared retail email inboxes acting on requests, leading on responses or signposting/escalating as required to ensure that the retail supporter journey is optimised and relationships are managed holistically.
• Support communications to shops including posting updates onto Retail Teams-Sharepoint. 
• Support stock holding and distribution of shop supplies including ordering products using Access Purchase orders. 
• Support the Retail Management Team to build a positive team culture across the retail team and wider cross directorate collaboration to deliver the voluntary income strategy.
• Support Retail management to maintain full compliance of the Children’s Trust shops in line with all Health & Safety legislation, Fire safety, Trading Standards, Retail Gift Aid, GDPR, ThankQ CRM, Risk Assessments, Safeguarding and all other legal or statutory requirements. 
• Manage the Retail Gift Aid scheme and processes, working with colleagues and shops managers to optimise gift aid database and associated sales while meeting HMRC rules.
• Develop and support delivery of internal and external audit processes, including New Goods stocktakes, working with Retail Management to ensure that all audit actions and recommendations are delivered by the team.

About the role

We’re looking for 2 Supporter Engagement Assistants with Customer Service experience to join our Central Supporter Engagement Team (CSET).

What will I be doing?

No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.

• Listen to our supporters and customers, understand their motivations and circumstances, and provide appropriate, professional and empathetic responses.  
• Respond to and resolve supporter and customer enquiries via phone, email, web chat and social media, identifying opportunities to deepen engagement and drive income generation.  
• Provide practical and responsive support to fundraising teams, helping to facilitate smooth delivery of campaigns and activities, and enabling them to focus on optimising fundraising and increasing income.
• Contribute to the smooth running of supporter and fundraising operations by providing adaptable support across systems, processes, and day-to-day tasks, ensuring teams are equipped to deliver high-quality engagement and maximise income generation. 
• Support the resolution and recording of complaints and concerns, using feedback from interactions to identify issues, spot trends, and share insights to inform improvements.

What do I need? 

The key skills we’re looking for in this role are:

• Customer-focused with experience delivering great service both over the phone and in writing
• Confident communicator with strong listening skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
• Organised and detail-oriented, with a good standard of grammar, spelling and presentation
• Proactive and able to use initiative to solve problems and support others
• Quick to learn and able to apply new information effectively
• Comfortable using digital tools, with confidence in Microsoft Office programs like Word and Excel

About the role:

This is an exceptional opportunity for a high calibre professional with leadership experience to join a fantastic organisation.  This post is one of four Country Directors, working with the CEO to deliver on organisational strategic objectives.

A strategic thinker, collaborative, with excellent leadership skills and a wide range of experience.  You will be a member of a leadership team or looking to progress your career to this level.  You will bring a track record of delivering excellent outcomes in the field of social work, specifically fostering and care experienced children, along with a desire to continue to develop your skillset.

Additionally, you will have experience of managing budgets and able to demonstrate a knowledge of sound safeguarding practice.

About the role

The Legacy Case Assistant role is pivotal in supporting the award winning Legacy Case Management team to deliver our transformational legacy income of £15 million each year. Legacies are Christian Aid's largest single source of voluntary income and are one of our key fundraising priorities. As we look ahead to an exciting period of growth across the legacy sector, the role of the Legacy Case Management team has never been more important.

About you

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent attention to detail and a flair for managing a busy administration workload. A good communicator, you will be at ease liaising with both internal teams and external personal and professional executors. This is a varied role, from maintaining records on our database and managing a small caseload to producing monthly reports for the team. You will be proactive, working with initiative and prioritising your workload to meet monthly deadlines. You will be joining a friendly and hardworking Legacy Case Management team at a really exciting time for gifts in Wills at Christian Aid.
