The person
You will be part of the Young People’s Services Team who provide a range of services and activities for young wheelchair users and their families. You will have a friendly and professional approach to working with families and professionals and be highly organised to manage planning, delivery and relevant paperwork for all wheelchair skills services. Using a gender and trauma-informed approach, the Outreach & Engagement Worker will deliver 2-4 daytime outreach sessions per week in Manchester alongside partners, colleagues and volunteers. They will also attend the Street Engagement Hub weekly to provide specialist support to women attending this multi-agency hub. They will provide brief interventions and casework support to women supporting their needs holistically.

As an Employment Coach with our Employcare Project you will be supporting unpaid carers living in Manchester; providing support and coaching in order for them to re-enter paid employment or voluntary roles. The Peer Support Coordinator will play a critical role in the delivery of Day One's Peer Support Service. We are seeking a Fundraising Coordinator (Individual Giving) to join our small but dynamic Fundraising team.
The role requires excellent donor care and stewardship skills. All forms of communication will be required including the proactive use of digital channels such as the website and social media platforms.
The Individual Giving Fundraiser will play a vital role in increasing income from our existing supporters. You will support donor acquisition as well as taking the lead on retention of our supporters across multiple channels including cash appeals, regular giving, lottery and in celebration giving. The role will also support the Head of Income in the delivery of a legacy and major donor program.
You will develop and deliver excellent stewardship programmes that drive retention by deepening audience understanding of the challenges that people affected by cleft face and the impact that their donations make. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Regional Casework Coordinator to join the Northwest Region at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.
You will be part of the regional office team who are the first point of contact to all beneficiaries into the Regional Office. You will be assisting with sometimes complex problems from individuals who may be distressed, identifying the presenting and potential underlining needs to determine the best way to support the beneficiary, either by beginning a casework referral, referring to another service within SSAFA or making an external referral to organisations better able to offer support. You will also have ownership of cases from beginning to end, coordinating the casework process in a timely manner and ensure that the beneficiary journey is at the centre of the Service. At all times you will adhere to the safeguarding, confidentiality, and data-protection policies, including escalation to emergency services for clients where there are immediate areas of concern.
To help you establish yourself in this new post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA and will influence the processes and procedures within the office, working closely with the Regional Casework Manager and Regional Operations Manager.
The post is home-based, but you may have to travel occasionally around the Northwest Region of England.
About the team
In this new role you will be working closely with volunteers from the six SSAFA branches in the Northwest, supporting them to administer casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. The successful candidate will work as part of a larger support team which will include a Casework Manager and a Regional Operational Manager.
About you
To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of providing welfare advice in key areas such as, housing benefits, debt, disability, mobility or immigration issues. You will have knowledge of safeguarding and GDPR, along with experience in dealing with sensitive information and people in vulnerable situations. You will be able to provide excellent customer service by telephone, e-mail and face to face. You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. It is important that you have experience of planning and managing your own workload, with minimal supervision.
It would be advantageous if you have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families, along with supporting volunteers. An understanding of the voluntary sector and preferably the military charity sector landscape across the North West.

Creative Support has 4 Extra Care services across Tameside and works with a diverse team of well-supported staff.
We are seeking a warm, compassionate and proactive Extra Care Registered Manager to provide person-centered care and support to our services users. Being the CQC Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the operational management of the four Extra Care Sites and which are supported by an Extra Care Coordinator and Extra Care Senior at each site.
Working in collaboration with the various landlords, stakeholders and local health and social care services, you will ensure that the highest standards of care and support are provided. You will ensure that the service empowers clients and meets their needs and preferences. You will work in conjunction with service users’ families and friends to promote a positive atmosphere within the service. The ability to work in an empathetic and holistic way in order to maintain orientation and independence is essential. You must be flexible, energetic and reliable. You will be responsible for the oversight of all four services.
You must be willing to embrace all aspects of the role including, but not limited to, providing support with dignified personal care and domestic tasks, and supporting individuals to access employment, education, and social opportunities. We value the personal skills and interests you will bring to both the role and to the lives of the people we support. You must be willing to work occasional shifts including mornings, evenings and weekends.
Previous experience in services for older people, people with dementia and memory loss is essential. Your approach will be warm, person centered, and respectful.
