• Lead, motivate performance manage and develop a team.

What you’ll do: 

• Ensure key stakeholders prepare business cases for investment in technology and software to agreed standards, advising them on process and changes or additions to business cases. 
• In collaboration with the business lead, manage the development and delivery of technology projects, ensuring that it meets RCR’s required standards and supporting successful implementation.
• Ensure plans, risks and finances associated with project delivery are tracked as required and made visible for governance and portfolio management purposes. 
• Use feedback and research to recommend improvements to RCR’s IT project management processes, implementing agreed changes.
• Support the Head of IT in the day-to-day management of invoices and of the IT budget, ensuring that spend is accounted for and managed according to RCR’s guidelines.
• Manage, administer and schedule regular board meetings.  Follow up actions agreed in the board meeting, in partnership with the Head of IT.

• Effective interpersonal skills, including ability to provide support and guidance to colleagues across the RCR to both business and technical teams.

The role 

In this role you will be:

• Leading, managing, and engaging a team of Community Energy Advisers, providing them with support, guidance, and direction to ensure the effective delivery of energy advice and support services. 
• Planning and overseeing the delivery of engaging and informative energy support workshops and one-to-one support sessions, tailoring content to meet the diverse needs of the community. 
• Collaborating with local organisations, stakeholders, and community members to identify needs and enhance the reach and impact of energy advice services.

About You

• You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written to be able to support communities and individuals who would benefit most from energy advice and support. 
• You be able to plan and deliver engaging and informative energy support workshops within local communities, tailoring content to meet the diverse needs of attendees. 
• Showing empathy and being able to respond positively to change while being able to deal effectively with conflicting priorities will allow to succeed within this role. The service will help customers through their unfair extra costs and additional vulnerability to fuel poverty. 
• It is essential that you have a good working knowledge of IT including Microsoft Office Products and are confident user of digital technology demonstrating a positive approach to the adoption of innovative products and tools. You will be able to track and evaluate the impact of your community sessions and one-to-one interventions, adjusting strategies to improve outreach and support effectiveness. 
• You will bring drive and enthusiasm to your role and can demonstrate that you care passionately about improving the lives of disabled people and their families. It is desirable that you have a good knowledge of Energy and Utilities advice. If you do not already have the qualification, you will be trained to a Level 3 Award in Energy Awareness.

We are looking for an experienced Safeguarding Manager to join our growing team and own our safeguarding processes end to end. This is a crucial role to ensure the safety of the young people we work with and that In2scienceUK provides a safe environment for all.

This role is part time and contract based and would be ideal for someone who has significant experience of safeguarding and child protection law, as well as experience

in carrying out safeguarding audits, implementing safeguarding processes for both in person and online offers, as well as internal and external safeguarding training.

Location: The post will be primarily based at Redthread’s Head Office in Brixton, with some days at Catch 22’s head office and working from home. However, all Redthread team members must have a flexible approach to working on other sites

Hours: 37.5 hours per week. The nature of Redthread’s Social Switch work means that occasional evening and weekend work is required.

Purpose of the Post

London's Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) has joined forces with Redthread and Catch22 to support young Londoners aged 16-30 to gain skills, qualifications, and employment in the digital and surrounding sectors.

The youth Mentor will be working within local communities to support programme users to progress into apprenticeships, employment, education, and training opportunities.

In this role we are looking for a Youth Mentor to provide tailored career guidance and occasionally deliver facilitated employability workshops to those enrolled on the programme. We want someone who is ready to champion the rights and needs of those facing barriers to work, and is committed to delivering the best they can, for the people on the programme

You will manage a caseload of service users and develop bespoke plans to support these individuals throughout their journey towards progression. It would be beneficial to have an awareness of the digital or technical sectors and/or apprenticeships.

You will immerse yourself in a targeted location and be responsible for engaging a range of referral partners to attract targeted young people onto the programme.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Policy Manager to join our team. This position is based in the Policy and Public Affairs (PPA) team and reports to the Director of PPA. As part of the External Affairs directorate, we aim to radically improve healthcare for women and girls by influencing positive change within UK Governments.

You will ensure that the RCOG is at the forefront of policy debates which affect women’s health, and you will work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders, including women and the RCOG membership, to develop policy solutions to improve the health of women and girls.

• Lead on the development of evidence-based policies on women’s health issues and strategic College priorities.

• Provide expert advice to the RCOG President, Officers, Chief Executive and senior managers  on political and policy matters.

You’ll play a pivotal role in driving forward the charity’s service improvement priorities to improve health and care services for people with Parkinson’s.

Using your quality improvement expertise to support health & care professionals with projects and programmes, equipping them with the latest tools, resources, evidence and data to develop and improve services for people with Parkinson’s. 

You’ll support the development of a vibrant regional network, working in collaboration with the Professional Engagement team and the regional clinical leads. This is one of two Regional Manager roles in London; a Regional Manager for Volunteer Mentors, and Regional Manager for Programme Delivery.

The Regional Manager for Volunteer Mentors focuses on mentor supply, securing sufficient volunteers primarily for London and also for 1MM’s national outreach. The role is responsible for overseeing high-quality sourcing of volunteers to join as 1MM Mentors, in London and nationally. This includes partnership development, online site listing, and matching mentors/mentees, and oversight of some corporate programmes. The role will help to establish a pipeline in line with 1MM’s aspirations for 2024 and beyond.  This role reports to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).

1MM Regional Manager for Volunteer Mentors main tasks include:

• Helping 1MM to scale by helping establish over 150 new, high quality mentoring matches each quarter. (A match means that the mentor and the mentee have completed 1MM’s training and have had their first meeting)

• Meeting all quality assurance KPIs.

• Maximising conversion, retention, and mitigate drop-off

• Providing ongoing support for key stakeholder partners, including Employers, and maintaining strong relationships.

• Securing at least one new partner per quarter.

• Becoming familiar with the 1MM Platform, using it comfortably for ongoing administration and providing support to users.

• Providing regular reports on progress related to the role.

• Potential for line-management responsibilities as the team grows.

The Catalyst Collective is an innovative and rapidly growing non-profit organisation. Since our pilot programme launched in January 2021, we have expanded significantly. As we enter our fourth year of operation, we are seeking an organised and proactive Programme Manager to play a pivotal role in driving our growth and ensuring the successful delivery of our mentoring programmes.

The Programme Manager will work closely with the Programme Director to lead and manage key components of our mentoring programme. Background

Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most. We work in eleven areas/regions of the UK and will support 3250 children in 2024-25.

Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme pairs struggling five to seven-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who are working professionals. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. The results are transformative, boosting children's reading confidence and ability.

From a school perspective, online reading volunteers provide direct, meaningful literacy support for up to 10 pupils per class. The programme is particularly suitable for communities where it might be challenging to find parents and other volunteers who can commit to physically visiting schools to boost reading.

Job Summary

Chapter One is seeking a Birmingham/West Midlands Programme Manager from September 2024 who is an excellent communicator and is able both to motivate and support schools and teachers to implement our online reading volunteers programme, and also to ensure that the programme’s impact and benefit to disadvantaged communities is maximised throughout the academic year.

The post is ideal for someone looking for part-time, flexible, term-time only work from a home base and who is able to travel frequently around the Birmingham and West Midlands area. The postholder will be joining a team of established Programme Managers (also part-time) who work in different parts of the UK and will need to have some flexibility to work additional hours during busy autumn months, and conversely to work fewer hours during quieter periods of the year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Effectively explain Chapter One’s online reading volunteer programme and its benefits to school leaders and teachers

• Install, setup and maintain Chapter One equipment in participating classrooms

• Fully understand the operation of the Chapter One platform and database and communicate this to others

• Organise and conduct initial teacher training and follow-up

• Ensure a smooth initial launch of Chapter One’s programme in every classroom

• Liaise with colleagues performing technical and volunteer support roles

• Through regular visits to/contact with schools, provide on-going embedded professional learning and support to teachers throughout the year as needed

• Proactively monitor classroom adherence/fidelity to the Chapter One model, including systematic review of data reports and volunteer feedback, taking proactive action to resolve problems that arise

• Analyse and manipulate data (largely in Google sheets) to produce reports and identify trends

• Create monthly data summaries for all participating classrooms

• Lead annual review meetings for senior leadership at participating schools
