WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
Our impact on the mission field is fueled by the faithful donations and prayers of our sponsors and donors in the UK and Europe. These are our "partners" in the Gospel, labouring with us in prayer, giving sacrificially, raising a voice for the needs on the mission field, and often finding meaning in Jesus' call on their lives.
Most people don't realise how much need there is, nor how they can make a difference to it, while for some it doesn't yet matter. We aim to be a window into the mission field, to help people see the multitudes and be moved with compassion, and begin to take steps to make that difference as a partner of GFA World. This is their "Partner Journey".
Today thousands of people in the world will die without ever having had a chance to hear of Jesus' love for them, and we exist to give more people that chance before it's too late. We currently have about 1,500 generous partners, and we hope to double that in the next 5 years.
In this role you will serve as a vital link between the church in the UK and Europe and the mission fields of Asia and Africa.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
You will help people find their path on our "Partner Journey". You will function as part of a team, and have training in each aspect of the team's ministries, but you will only be responsible for certain ones or parts of them at any one. These functions include, but are not limited to:

Point of Contact
Our sixth Core Value is "Having A Servant Lifestyle", and one way we do that is by answering phone calls and e-mails from our partners and inquirers. You and the team will be the voice of GFA World to the UK and Europe, representing the mission field to them. We will train you to answer queries, process requests, and share stories from the mission field.
Donor Services
Our second Core Value is "Being A People Of Integrity And Excellence", and one key way we live that out is proper handling of donations from our faithful partners. You and the team will receive donations and record them in our database, and send the appropriate acknowledgments to those who gave them.
Sponsor Relations
Part of our Mission Statement is to "fulfil the Great Commission through sending out qualified labourers in partnership with the body of Christ". There's no better way to see that happen than to help believers here sponsor missionaries in mission field areas. You and the team will help people initiate and maintain their sponsorship commitments, sending them photo profiles, testimonies, and updates.
Posting Materials
We can't take everyone to the mission field to experience what God is doing, the next best things is to give them materials which tell the story, and challenge them to think about others. You and the team will be helping that happen by sending people our mission minded materials and books.
Corporate Prayer
Our fifth Core Value is "Being A People Committed To Prayer And Worship", and GFA World started with a Tuesday Night Prayer Meeting. It is fueled by prayer, and would die out without it. We maintain this tradition and require all staff to take part in praying for the needs of a dying world, to ensure we are always depending upon the Holy Trinity for grace for His work.

A key part of your role will involve monitoring and evaluating the volunteer journey, gathering feedback and insights to improve processes and experiences. You’ll manage volunteer data and compliance, ensuring records are accurate and up to date. Additionally, you’ll support the recognition and celebration of volunteers, helping to coordinate award events and initiatives that highlight the incredible contributions of those who give their time.
To excel in this role, you’ll have experience managing and supporting volunteers, ensuring they have a positive and rewarding experience. You’ll be confident in advising on best practices and processes, with the ability to build strong relationships across different teams. You'll need to be adaptable, self-motivated, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team, using technology to stay connected.

Background and summary of the job
The Minster Centre is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee that provides training in psychotherapy and counselling and an affordable therapy service.
It was founded in 1978 as the first Integrative psychotherapy and counselling training in the UK and is a leading psychotherapy training institution. Now based in Queens Park, NW London, it runs training ranging from open access introductory courses to post-graduate degrees validated by Middlesex University. The Minster Centre Psychotherapy & Counselling Service (MCPCS) also provides a safe, affordable and professional counselling service to people over the age of 18 who are experiencing a range of difficulties. The Minster Centre Psychotherapy & Counselling Service Administrator will work with the Clinical Services Manager and one other Administrator to ensure the smooth running of the service and support in its continuing development.
Role purpose
Enquiries
- Dealing with phone and email enquiries including potential MCPCS clients, existing clients, trainee therapists and placement providers, etc.
- Emailing Assessment Application Forms, assessing suitability of enquirer for service – asking for additional help when required from the Clinical Services Manager.
Administration
- Providing strong administrative support to the Clinical Services Manager.
- Providing regular detailed data information to the Clinical Services Manager, including reports from Access Database and future Charitylog data systems about functionality of service.
- Inputting and updating student data spreadsheets and client spreadsheets relating to client session fees, providing reports and liaising with students, finance team and clients to ensure all session fees are up to date and reporting on any missed payments weekly.
- Administer MCPCS processes and procedures for instance by designing forms and records formats, ensuring they are available to students, supervisors and clients. Ensuring the service has paperwork available to operate effectively: Assessment packs; Allocation packs; student forms.
- Inputting data from paper records and managing electronic records. Keeping data management up to date and archiving files as and when appropriate.
- Assisting Clinical Services Manager and other senior leadership in overseeing MCPCS, with additional tasks as and when requested.

The role of Advice Worker is pivotal in supporting kinship carers to access the right information, services and entitlements.
In this role, you’ll provide generalist advice and information to kinship carers in line with kinship carers’ preferred methods. Often, this will be by telephone, including taking live calls on our advice line, and by email. You will also need to respond to enquiries using video conferencing, text and other channels as we develop the service.
The type of person we’re looking for:
You will either have significant experience of providing advice to individuals on their rights, or you will have significant experience of providing support to kinship carers.
We will provide the training you need to undertake the role, as well as opportunities for development and progression.
You will need to be resilient and able to remain calm in difficult situations. You will have an eye for detail to identify the key issues requiring advice and the relevant legislation, guidance or practice. As the leader of the People team, you will oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including strategy, performance, recruitment, induction, learning and development, diversity and inclusion, engagement, policies and more.
You will be an exemplary role model and leader championing high performance within a culture of freedom and responsibility. Your ability to build and develop strong and trusting relationships will underpin your excellent domain knowledge, sound judgement, comfort with pace and focus on outcomes.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement our People & Culture strategy, goals and annual delivery plan
- Oversee all internal D&I initiatives including the D&I working group, point of contact for affinity group and all D&I training
- Line manage the People Team to achieve high performance of both the team and organisation
- Play a proactive role as a member of the Leadership Group and Operations team to champion high performance and our culture – supporting colleagues wherever priorities are identified, and the need is greatest

A little bit about you
We’d like to see applicants who have experience leading and managing a HR team, who are able to empower, motivate and set strategic direction towards organisational goals. You will have strong knowledge and understanding of all areas of HR, able to build strong relationships and an ability to apply employment law in a pragmatic way to deliver principled solutions.
We have a fast-moving culture within the team and organisation, so we’re looking for someone who is who is well organised, details-focused and can use their initiative to do what works. You will have excellent communication skills, be able to build relationships with people and be willing to learn.
