We are looking for an enthusiastic Finance Manager, who will be responsible for all aspects of financial management and HR administration. You will be well organised, able to work on you own initiative and be experieced in writing clear and engaging reports tailored to a non-financial audience. 

The main responsibilities of the role are:

• Provide strategic financial leadership, including long range planning, budgeting and forecasts.
• Support Board and Committees (Investment, Finance and Grants), preparing and presenting papers and managing grant-giving process. 
• Lead the annual audit.
• Undertake day-to-day book-keeping.
• Oversee HR operations including payroll and pension administration.
• Ensure compliance with employment law and maintain HR policies.

You will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPFA) with at least three years’ experience, ideally with charity experience.  You will also have experience of HR policies and management.

We are a small organisation, so a supportive 'hands-on' approval is essential, as are diplomacy and confidentiality.

CLC is a membership organisation for Lutheran Churches in the UK, and our office is close to Waterloo station. We undertake a range of activities including student chaplaincy, grant giving and outreach and we have recently acquired a church building for services and events. The Administrator will play a key role in supporting the smooth and efficient running of the NVN’s operations. Working closely with the General Manager, they will manage day-to-day administration, membership communications, events logistics, and financial record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities: 

Administration and Coordination

- Support the General Manager with the day-to-day coordination of the NVN’s activities.

- Track progress on agreed actions and support efficient follow-up.

Membership and Communications

- Respond to member and public enquiries in a timely and professional manner.

- Manage membership renewals and maintain the membership database.

- Create and distribute newsletters.

- Maintain our social media presence and website content.

- Store NVN songbooks and send out when purchased.

- Assist with the organisation and delivery of NVN events, training, and gatherings (online and in person).

- Website management (in liaison with website hosting company).

Finance and Record-Keeping

- Support basic financial administration including invoicing, payments, and expense tracking.

- Maintain up-to-date financial records in coordination with the General Manager and Treasurer.

- Maintain and store confidential documents and archives.

Background

UKHarvest is a food waste and food education charity supporting vulnerable people experiencing food insecurity in the community, though a number of impactful and groundbreaking projects. Our mission is to reduce food waste and increase food security. Our education programmes (NOURISHed), Community Food Hubs, Grub Clubs and Community Grub Clubs are designed to overcome social barriers and food insecurity by connecting people through food.

Purpose of the Role

The Charity founder and CEO is retiring from her post and in this period, UKHarvest requires an interim Chief Operating Officer. This COO will provide strong, calm and effective operational leadership during a period of transition, ensuring continuity, stability and confidence across the organisation.

Job Description

Delivering the Philanthropy plan

• Work with the Head of Fundraising and existing Philanthropy Manager to grow the major donor portfolio within the wider strategy 
• Build and maintain a portfolio of existing and new major donors who give or can give £15,000 or more, ensuring a first-class cultivation and stewardship journey
• Line manage the Philanthropy Executive and support their professional development, providing direction, support and guidance
• Work with our Fundraising Research & Administration Intern to identify new potential Bookmark major donors, working with Trustees, senior stakeholders, and our wonderfully supportive Partnerships Board to secure introductions and make asks of prospective supporters
• Design and deliver creative events and activities to generate income, cultivate and steward donors
• Create compelling, relevant and tailored funding proposals, reports and collateral to inspire and inform donors, reflecting Bookmark’s strong brand. The could include Trust and Foundation applications.
• Use Salesforce to manage the accurate recording, progression and forecasting of major donor relationships, enabling efficient reporting and KPI management 

Work with the rest of the Fundraising team

• Devise and deliver annual plans, together with associated budgets, in line with the charity’s strategic objectives

The BRIT School is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Communications to lead an evolving communications strategy that ensures the School remains the first choice for young, diverse artists.

This senior role has strategic responsibility for marketing, digital and social media, PR, alumni engagement, and brand management. Executive Officer

MLC Partners are delighted to be partnering with Turn2us to recruit an interim Executive Officer. This is a pivotal role at the heart of the organisation, providing high-quality administrative and governance support to the CEO Office and helping to coordinate key activity across Turn2us.

The Role:

The Executive Officer will work closely with the Executive Manager to the CEO to provide executive support across the CEO Office and Organisational Leadership Team, ensuring excellent standards of administration, communication and record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide ad-hoc diary management support to the CEO and Chair, arranging meetings and ensuring they are fully prepared for engagements.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and prepare documents as requested.
• Support and lead on the organisation and delivery of internal events.
• Maintain effective filing, records and administrative systems across Teams and Outlook, handling confidential information with discretion.
• Provide meeting support when required (packs, minute-taking, action tracking) and support Committee and Board meeting cycles.
• Maintain the cross-organisational calendar and support CEO Office administration.
• Arrange travel and accommodation, submit expenses/credit card statements, and work with Finance to ensure invoices are paid on time.

About You:

• Experience supporting an Executive or Senior leadership team member, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders (including Trustees/independent members).
• Confident organising meetings and managing complex diaries, travel and logistics.
• Strong minute-taking/secretariat experience, producing concise and accurate minutes and managing actions.
• Discreet and trustworthy with confidential information; tactful and diplomatic.
• Proactive, flexible and adaptable, with confidence learning new technology/systems.
