Through our nationwide enterprise and financial capability programmes, we give young people the opportunities and experiences to discover who they are and what they’re good at.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast moving, youth focused, charity and to play a vital role in securing income to support our youth activities – working with Trusts and Foundations predominantly, but with the opportunity to also build relationships with statutory funders and, in future, major donors.

We are looking for a proactive, highly organised individual to join Young Enterprise as part of our National Fundraising team.

About the role

We invite you to join an impactful and collaborative fundraising team, working in a driven and supportive environment, which places personal development at its core to ensure team members thrive. 

Working with the Senior Relationship Manager and the Philanthropy Team, you will contribute to an annual budget of £4.3m and raise income from Trusts and Foundations and small statutory income streams, utilising your income generating and communication skills. You will also undertake prospect research, as well as developing compelling project updates and reports to inspire supporters.

 We are looking for:

The successful candidate will have a track record of generating income from Trust and Foundations, particularly securing income £10k upwards.

• You’ll be experienced in writing engaging applications and inspiring reports, with a meticulous eye for detail in this, as well as strong grant management and stewardship of supporters.
• You’ll have a successful track record of building strong internal and external relationships, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. You’ll demonstrate a solution-focused attitude to problem-solving, monitoring the progress of funded projects in line with funder expectations.
• A tenacious self-starter with a can-do attitude is essential to enthuse existing and prospective supporters and to manage a varied workload of research, fundraising and grant management. 
• A strong team player with the ability to balance and prioritise competing demands in a busy team, you will have excellent organisational skills.
• You’ll be proactive and innovative in your approach to prospecting for new supporters, qualifying them, and building a pipeline.

About the Role

Reporting to Head of Fundraising and Communications, you'll play a crucial role in raising funds by engaging with SME's and the local community. This role involves developing and implementing fundraising campaigns, cultivating relationships with potential donors, supporting staff fundraising initiatives and coordinating fundraising events. You will collaborate with various stakeholders and build long-term partnerships that contribute to the sustainability and growth of the organisation.

The Youth Zone has developed a targeted funds infrastructure with live impact data established and ready to utilise in funding presentations. It costs £1.7 million a year to run, 90% of which is generated through voluntary donations of which this role will be aiming to contribute £200k in the first 2 years.

You will therefore play a vital role in keeping the charity financially sustainable through the development of local business and community fundraising. You will be given ample scope to test your creative ideas and drive forward income generation, supported by the Head of Fundraising and Communications, the Chief Executive and a forward thinking and engaged Board of Trustees.

About You

Being self-motivated and action orientated, you will be able to create and grow your own pool of potential supporters and thrive on 'making the ask'. As an enthusiastic ambassador, you'll be able to communicate this in an inspiring and tailored way and be comfortable in seeking and securing donations, whilst working alongside colleagues in the team to monitor and steward these donations appropriately.

Knowledge and experience:

Proven track record of generating income from Community and/or Corporate Fundraising. 
Experience of meeting ambitious targets for new business and stewarding. 
Experience of managing a pipeline of potential supporters/donors and aligning your interests with the organisational needs, to maximise gift level. 
Understanding of issues affecting young people and disadvantaged communities.
Understanding and knowledge of White City Community.

Shannon Trust Prison Facilitators HMP Send

Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led literacy and numeracy programmes across a number of prisons. We now have the opportunity to provide a service at HMP Send. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our literacy and numeracy programme at HMP Send, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.

This role will be prison-based. In this role, you will work with young people 1-1, holding small caseloads, as well as working with young people in groups and delivering employment or education-focussed sessions on a regular basis.

As part of our service, we also aim to deliver a weekly group conversation class for young people looking to improve their spoken English, many of whom are young refugees and asylum seekers. While you will work with all young people in the service and support regularly with our day centre delivery, this role will focus on expanding our JET service to young refugees and asylum seekers, developing specialist networks and partnerships, and pathways to appropriate opportunities.

The Helen Bamber Foundation (HBF) is a pioneering Human Rights charity supporting refugees and asylum seekers who are the survivors of trafficking and torture, including gender-based and ‘honour-based’ violence. Neighbourhood Watch Network (NWN) is the representative charity for the Neighbourhood Watch movement across England and Wales with over 2.3M members and 60,000 volunteers. We are the largest volunteer led crime prevention and community development charity in the UK. Neighbourhood Watch Network supports and represents the successful grass roots, volunteer led group of organisations under the Neighbourhood Watch brand. We are funded by the Home Office, charitable trusts and foundations, donations and sponsor organisations in the private sector.

Neighbourhood Watch was founded on the premise of bringing people together as neighbours and communities to help prevent crime and all the evidence suggests that the need for this today is as great as it has ever been.

We have received funding to start several new projects, and now need a Finance Officer to join the Finance Manager in a small finance team to support the growing organisation. The Finance Officer will also support the wider team with expenses, reviewing their spending verses their budgets, and will help manage the online shop.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly-organised Operations manager to join us. As our Head of Operations you will be covering HR, IT, facilities, and governance support, and will be responsible for leading the day-to-day internal operations and business activities to ensure the smooth running of the Childhood Trust as well as supporting the delivery of the Trust’s new three-year growth strategy.

Key responsibilities:

Operations:

• Plan, lead and manage the operational functions of The Childhood Trust, ensuring alignment with the Trust’s mission, strategic goals and growth plan.
• Work with the CEO and the leadership team to develop and implement strategies and ways of working to achieve the Trust’s objectives.

Human Resources and People Development

• Lead the development and delivery of the organisation’s people strategy[LR1] [NM2] . 
• Oversee the Human Resources function, including recruitment, retention, performance evaluation, employee learning and development.
• Foster a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and collaboration, nurturing a positive and supportive working environment.

Compliance and Risk Management

• Ensure the Trust operates in full compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and ethical standards, including ensuring all staff have necessary training and DBS check requirements
• Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
• Maintain the risk register.
• Maintain strong governance and adherence to best practices in charity management 

​Governance and Reporting

• Support the HR, Finance, Programmes and Fundraising teams, contributing to their work as required. 
• Produce an annual operational plan and monitor weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress against the plan.
• Develop and produce monthly management reports for the CEO
• Produce quarterly operational reports for board meetings.

IT and Office 

•  Coordinate IT support services, including m[HR5] anaging the setup of new starters on various TCT IT and digital platforms and channels.
• Lead on the office move, set up and management

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Senior-level experience, ideally within the charity sector, with a proven track record of driving operational excellence.
• Experience in managing and developing high-performing teams, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Experience in translating strategic vision into measurable outcomes and driving results.
• Strong commitment to employee development and growth opportunities.
• Experience managing Human Resources and IT functions.
• Demonstratable understanding of the charity sector

• This is a hybrid opportunity, a blend of homebased and office working. Our office for this role is in London, Victoria and you would be expected to attend the office twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday). The role may involve occasional travel and attendance of events in the evening.
