The purpose of this role is to develop incredible relationships with new and existing fundraising supporters within your region helping them to network, influence and fundraise to have a significant impact on the work of the charity. Through your network and creating new opportunities you will increase income in your region across multiple income streams including Education, Individuals, In Memory Supporters and Community Organisations.

To be successful in this role you will: 

• Have previous experience in income generation – leading and inspiring networks in order to generate long term income and partnerships 

• Be self-motivated, independent, and target-driven 

• Possess a natural confidence in talking to people and encouraging their support.

• Have excellent communication and relationship building skills - be friendly, approachable, inspiring and engaging 

• Full clean driving license, with access to a car 

Principle Responsibilities  

• Proactively recruit high-calibre supporters, volunteers, and community groups, inspiring and leading these networks to generate sustainable income

• Manage a portfolio of regional donors, ensuring excellent stewardship and long-term engagement. Enabling supporters to maximise their fundraising potential 

• Monitor and report on income, expenditure, and key performance indicators, including volunteer recruitment and event registrations, managing an income budget of approximately £600k PA.

• Deliver presentations and pitches to schools, community organisations, and businesses. 

• Act as “the face of BWCHC” within your region, developing and acquiring meaningful, long-term relationships

• Grow and strengthen volunteer and ambassador programmes in line with charity processes and procedures. Enhance fundraising volunteers’ skills to act on behalf of the Charity 

• Spend at least 50% of your time working within your region. Plan effectively, develop fundraising products, and collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure excellent donor stewardship. 

• Maintain strong communication and collaboration across the fundraising department and hospital, balancing relationships effectively while working remotely. 

• Drive the regional fundraising strategy with energy and creativity, identifying and nurturing long-term supporter relationships to secure sustainable fundraising and volunteering opportunities.

The Policy and Public Affairs Manager will join our management team and lead on developing our policy positions and engaging with parliament and government.

Role overview

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week); working part-time (minimum 21 hours) will be considered. Occasional work in the evenings and at weekends will be required but with plenty of notice. Rainbow Migration encourages staff to maintain a good work life balance and has a TOIL system in place.

Salary: Starting at £46,000 with a potential step increase each year up to £51,253 (pro rata if working part time), plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. We also try to give a separate inflationary increase every April.

Location: Remote or from Rainbow Migration’s step-free offices which are based in London between Vauxhall and the Oval. Hybrid working will also be considered and can be agreed with the line manager as per our hybrid working policy. The successful candidate could work from anywhere in the UK but would be expected to occasionally travel to London and other parts of the country for meetings and events. Annual Leave: Initially 25 days per year. After two years of employment, this will increase by one day per year up to a maximum of 28 days (pro rata if working part-time).

Role Purpose
We are looking to recruit a talented, dynamic and professional Engagement Manager to join our team. In this role, you will lead all aspects of the Flintshire Befrienders project. 
Flintshire Befrienders is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and supports older people experiencing social isolation and loneliness.  Our team of Volunteer Befrienders provide companionship, help to build confidence, and encourage engagement in the local community.  The project consists of:

· One-to-one befriending in a person’s home, or over the telephone

· Community buddying – support to attend local community groups and events

· Volunteer-led events – activities that older people can engage in, based on their interests

The right candidate would be someone with experience of supporting and managing volunteers, working with older people facing isolation and loneliness, as well as someone who can work flexibly and demonstrate a commitment to our organisational values.

Are you passionate about climate justice and excited by the power of connecting arts, community and climate to build agency and effect positive change? If so this job might be for you.

Building on the recommendations from our Citizens’ Assembly, Art for the People (2021), we are now embarking on a multi-year programme connecting communities, culture and creative climate action, with the support of the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.

It’s a role that would suit someone who has worked in community development, participatory democracy, climate justice, or nature-based work, and can empower people to make things happen in their own neighbourhoods.

The programme involves collaborative, creative place-making combined with strategy development grounded in neighbourhoods. Building carefully outwards from the work already done to pilot, advance and deliver the Assembly’s recommendations, and steered with the help of our cohort of Assembly participants turned Creative Community Changemakers.

Hours: 0.6FTE (22.5 hrs based on 37.5 hrs per week)

Contract: 3 years Fixed term to September 2029, with the likely extension to December 2029, and possibly beyond (subject to further fundraising by the company).

Purpose

GuildHE is seeking an ambitious Policy Officer to play a pivotal role in the next phase of our organisation’s growth. Working directly with the Head of Research Policy and the Policy Manager (Skills, Innovation, International), you will help monitor, analyse, and respond to policy initiatives within the research and innovation space.  You will support a range of member-focused events and activities to ensure staff in our member institutions are well-informed and supported. This includes supporting the management of the GuildHE Research Consortium and leading on the organising and delivery of our flagship annual PGR Doctoral Festival, helping our members develop, share best practices, and maximise their research impact.

Key Responsibilities 

Policy Analysis & Communication

1. Horizon Scanning: Monitor government departments (e.g., DSIT, DfE), funding and regulatory bodies (UKRI, Research England, OfS, Innovate UK), and other stakeholders for policy updates, funding calls, and consultation launches in relation to Research and Innovation policy.

2. Briefings: Produce concise policy briefings, data summaries, and position papers for GuildHE members and leadership on key Research and Innovation issues (e.g., REF, knowledge exchange, KEF, commercialisation, research culture, open research). Develop high-quality external reports, consultations, blogs and other materials articulating member challenges and opportunities.

3. Consultation Drafts: Assist senior policy colleagues in gathering evidence, analysing member feedback, collaborating with sector stakeholders, and drafting compelling arguments that articulate the unique perspectives of GuildHE institutions.

4. Share Best Practice: Identify case studies across the GHE membership to share best practice internally and externally and drive national conversations about new ways of working and operating in the sector.

5. Policy issues: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of national and institutional research and innovation policies indicated by the Head of Research Policy or Policy Manager (Research, Innovation, International).

Member Support & Consortium Coordination

1. Member Engagement: Maintain regular, positive communication with research and innovation leads across member institutions, fostering a collaborative network.  Support relevant GuildHE member networks, including the Knowledge Exchange, Innovation and Place network, promoting communication, collaboration, and best practice exchange to inform evidence-based policy development.

2. Member development: Provide support for timely implementation of good practice guidelines and associated resources, within agreed budgets. This includes assisting with members' business development initiatives, such as Research Degree Awarding Powers.

3. Event Delivery: Develop and deliver content for events including the GuildHE Research Consortium meetings, the Research and Knowledge Exchange Symposium, PGR Doctoral Festival, the PGR Network for global majority students and sandpits/match events, workshops and roundtables. 

4. Shared Services: Collaborate with other GHE teammates to maintain and deliver our shared services (i.e. research outputs repository, shared postgraduate online training, research impact tracking and researcher development tools) and explore new services in response to members’ needs

5. PGR Students: Develop and deliver initiatives for postgraduate students and early career researchers (e.g., our PGR Support Programme and associated student networks), working closely with the Policy Manager (Student Experience) to ensure postgraduate students are reflected in broader student support policies.

1. Actively support the delivery of the GuildHE strategy.

2. To contribute positively to a small, professional team focused on delivering excellence in their members’ interests.

3. Support GuildHE events and communication activities as appropriate - including campaigns, writing articles, blogs and press releases.

4. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders at HE institutions and sector agencies, including senior leaders, academics, and policy staff.

5. Gather feedback from HE institutions and use this to inform the continuous improvement of our services.

6. Demonstrate a proactive approach to embedding EDI principles within all policy development and advocacy efforts.

7. Represent GuildHE externally on a range of HE sector groups and projects and deputise for the Head of Research Policy or the Policy Manager (Skills, Innovation and International) as appropriate.

Purpose of the Role

The fundraising team at Breaking Barriers generates income from a range of sources: trusts and foundations, statutory and lottery, corporate and major donors. We sit within the wider Income and Engagement Directorate, alongside communications and public fundraising, and work closely together to drive income and engagement from funders, partners and supporters who share our vision that every refugee can access meaningful employment and build a new life. 

The Development Officer manages our portfolio of small trusts and foundations (grants up to £10,000), securing income and developing relationships from existing donors and new prospects. The role involves writing compelling funding proposals, delivering effective stewardship, and meeting all reporting requirements to a high standard.

Alongside portfolio management, the post-holder co-ordinates our fundraising events programme, ensuring both online and in-person events deepen engagement with our cause. The role also provides active support across fundraising appeals and the statutory, lottery and major donor income streams, including prospect research. The post-holder will also contribute to the operational efficiency of the fundraising team through effective administration.

This is a varied, fast-paced role that will suit someone with strong writing skills, attention to detail and a genuine commitment to our mission. It offers real scope to develop knowledge and skills across a wide range of fundraising disciplines within a supportive and ambitious team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Income generation (60%)

· Manage and develop a portfolio of trusts and foundations awarding grants of up to £10,000, delivering tailored stewardship and relationship management across both warm relationships and cold prospects.

· Plan, write and submit compelling funding applications based on a clear understanding of Breaking Barriers' programmes, funding needs and funder requirements.

· Manage all reporting requirements within your portfolio, ensuring reports are completed accurately and to deadline.

· Manage event logistics including venue sourcing, guest list coordination, on-the-day support and follow-up.

· Lead on the development of stewardship materials for philanthropy audiences, including impact updates, newsletters and event collateral.

3. Prospect Research and Fundraising Administration (15%)

· Carry out prospect research to support the major gifts, statutory and lottery fundraising pipelines, producing clear, well-structured briefings for senior colleagues.

· Build and maintain funder profiles, recording prospect activity, research findings and pipeline information accurately in Salesforce.

· Support colleagues in the finance team with gift administration and thanking processes.

· Contribute to the directorate's approach to data quality and CRM best practice.

As Senior Programme Coordinator, you'll help make sure that support reaches as many young people as possible and that it's delivered to a consistently high standard.

You'll lead a small team of sports coaches and youth mentors, helping them plan great sessions, develop their practice and overcome the day-to-day challenges that come with the job. You'll also build and maintain strong relationships with schools, alternative provisions and community partners to keep programmes running smoothly.

Villagers Connect is a community development project which is working to sustain a strong and vibrant community in the villages of Colgate, Faygate and Rusper. It aims to build connections and relationships which increase confidence, independence and empowerment, particularly for the over 65’s.

At the heart of our Corporate Partnerships team, you’ll turn ambition into action—shaping and delivering high-impact fundraising initiatives that make a tangible difference. You’ll work collaboratively across fundraising, marketing and philanthropy, ensuring partnerships are not only successful but truly transformative, delivering measurable outcomes for the young people we support.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment—someone highly organised, proactive, and energised by bringing multiple workstreams together. From managing campaign delivery end-to-end to nurturing relationships with corporate partners and identifying new opportunities, you will be instrumental in driving the success and growth of the Change a Girl’s Life campaign.

You will thrive in this role if you are:

• Highly organised and confident managing a busy, varied workload with competing deadlines
• A strong communicator who enjoys selling and working with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Proactive and detail-focused, with a passion for delivering high-quality work.

To hit the ground running, you will bring:

• Experience using CRM systems and managing data such as prospect lists
• Exposure to business development, partnerships or marketing, ideally in a charity or purpose-led environment
• Confidence supporting proposals, presentations or campaign materials, with strong written and verbal communication skills
