PURPOSE OF POSITION
This is a critical operational leadership role that is responsible for the operation of the
organisation’s supported accommodation services.
Providing operational leadership to team managers and ensuring compliance with
organisational, contractual, local authority and legal regulations and the quality of
services is pushed to the highest possible standards; ensuring excellent outcomes for
residents and a positive and high performing working environment for teams.
This role will also be accountable for the development of excellent relationships with
external partners, commissioners, and other key stakeholders for support services in
the organisation.
You will be a key member of the charity's Extended Leadership team
RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Service Delivery
• Lead in setting organisational standards and performance targets across the
support and resident services teams that reflect contractual requirements and
organisational standards.
• Actively promote and develop person centred practices based on a trauma
informed approach and psychologically informed environment to working with
residents with high support needs and challenging behaviour.
• Be accountable for the operational performance of the services, allocating
resources strategically to ensure that key performance indicators are achieved
and that action plans are in place where required to improve service
performance.
• Remodelling to promote accountability and co-production approaches with
residents.
• Work with the Head of Building & Facilities to ensure your teams put health &
safety procedures into practice to create a safe environment for our residents
and staff. Contribute, and when required, lead on the formation and review of
policies and procedures.
• Contribute to the Frontline Service’s Management On Call rota, providing
support to frontline services outside of office hours
Stakeholder Management
• Build strong relationships with Commissioners and regulatory bodies to enable
the service to meet contractual and regulatory KPI's and requirements.
• Submit management information on a monthly and quarterly basis and produce
other statistics and data as directed by the Director of Frontline Services.
• Responsible for effective liaison with outside agencies including the police, social
services and other statutory and voluntary agencies and delegating this work
where appropriate.
• Represent the organisation externally at forums, conferences and meetings.
• Contribute to the wider management team in frontline services to ensure good
communication, coordination and consistency of practice, approach and
development across the Directorate.
Business Planning and Project Management
• Drive business planning activities within contracts, ensuring relevant and
challenging objective setting and ongoing performance tracking, developing
turn around action plans as may be necessary
• Where agreed, project manage new services or service developments.
• Working closely with Finance Department to set, manage and monitor allocated
budgets for income and expenditure for support and resident services and to
ensure that teams meet performance targets.
• To ensure that financial procedures are maintained at all times in accordance
with organisational policies and procedures.
Managing and Developing People
• Take a leading role in developing a positive, values-based organisational
culture, in line with the charity's Your Place Way approach
• Developing performance targets and quality control measures for teams, and
monitoring performance to ensure that these are met.
• Supporting managers and teams by setting clear objectives and holding
individual supervisions regularly.
• Ensuring good communication across teams by holding team meetings
regularly, and additional briefings as necessary.
• Inducting new managers and planning the continuous professional development
of existing managers through annual appraisals.
• Managing the workload of teams to ensure that adequate cover is provided at
all times.
Safeguarding
• Act as Safeguarding Lead for the organisation
• To actively promote an open and accountable approach across the
organisation as a whole that ensures the organisation meets our legal duties,
keeps our policies up to date, and puts our residents' best interests at the
forefront.
Intensive Housing Management
• Ensure that our landlord responsibilities are delivered in a person-centred way
and in line with our regulatory and legal responsibilities
• Oversee the creation of a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment across all
our services that is responsive to resident needs.
• Develop standards and practice that provide clear evidence-based reporting to
meet regulatory compliance
General
• To attend meetings internally as and when necessary, for example, Directorate,
Management and planning meetings.
• To undertake such other duties within the competence of the post holder which
may be required from time to time.

Essential Criteria
Experience
• Strong background in leading and delivering supported accommodation
services
• Extensive experience working with rough sleeping and other homelessness
services
• Experience leading and delivering intensive housing management

• Experience of case management and delivering best practice around; needs
assessments, high quality personalised support or advice services to vulnerable
adults, including people with high support needs
• Experience of contract management with stakeholders
• Experience of project management and mobilisation of new services or
developing existing services
Skills & knowledge
• Knowledge and understanding of the housing and support needs of single
people who experience homelessness and rough sleeping, the benefit of move
on and the ability to translate knowledge into good practice.
• Knowledge of the commercial and regulatory requirements of supported
housing.
• CIH Level 5 qualification
Abilities
• Ability to interact at senior, strategic level with external stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressured environment, with multiple
competing priorities and to quickly adapt to new situations.

Democracy Classroom is a non-partisan, UK-wide initiative and a leading voice for the sector, reaching teachers and youth practitioners in 95% of the UK’s parliamentary constituencies. ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Partnerships Manager to strengthen and grow our connections across the youth, education and democracy sectors. You will play a key role in expanding and deepening the Democracy Classroom Network, helping to increase its reach, visibility and impact on democratic education across the UK.
The role will support organisations to prepare for and collaborate on upcoming changes in democratic engagement and education - such as the introduction of Votes at 16 - ensuring the sector is coordinated, informed and ready to respond collectively.
This is a dynamic, people-focused role supporting more than 100 partner organisations to collaborate, share learning and deliver joined-up support for teachers and youth practitioners. You will combine excellent relationship-building with the ability to think strategically, spot opportunities and translate them into practical action.
You will work closely with the Head of Communications and Networks, the Communications Lead, and colleagues across The Politics Project to ensure that partners are supported, connected and able to collaborate effectively. The role blends strategic relationship management with hands-on coordination and communication.
Key responsibilities include:
Partnership management
- Build, maintain and strengthen relationships with over 100 existing civil society partners.
- Act as the main point of contact for partner queries, feedback and support.
- Identify and onboard new organisations to join the Democracy Classroom Network.
- Facilitate partner input into planning, decision-making and shared problem-solving.
Strategic development and coordination
- Identify new opportunities for collaboration, policy influence and sector engagement.
- Advise senior colleagues on partnership trends, risks and emerging opportunities.
- Develop and deliver partner communication strategies, ensuring information and opportunities are shared clearly and consistently.
- Coordinate effectively with internal teams to ensure joined-up delivery and coherent partner messaging.
Engagement and representation
- Plan and deliver Democracy Classroom meetings, training sessions and networking events.
- Represent The Politics Project at external meetings and events, acting as an ambassador for our collaborative and non-partisan approach.
Monitoring and reporting
- Track partner engagement, feedback and satisfaction to inform continuous improvement.
- Support monitoring, evaluation and reporting to demonstrate the impact of the network.
This is a fast-paced role in a small but growing team. The post includes a six-month probation period and is fixed-term until March 2027, with potential for extension depending on funding. Occasional travel within the UK and some evening or weekend work will be required.

Main duties & responsibilities

Our work across Newcastle
Volunteering Matters play a vital role supporting volunteering in Newcastle. Since 2005, we have been operating Volunteer Centre Newcastle (VCN). This service provides a wide range of support around all things volunteering to 1250+ charities, organisations, and groups locally. Each year, we also support 2500+ members of the public who are interested in volunteering and need support to get started. We also lead the Home from Hospital and Community Support project where volunteers support older people with their transition home following a hospital admission.
In early 2025, we launched the Good Neighbours Newcastle project funded by Newcastle City Council. We deliver this project alongside our delivery partner organisation, Search Newcastle, with a second partner organisation scheduled to join in early 2026.
Good Neighbours project
We would all like to live in a place that has a sense of community, where people look out for their neighbours. The Good Neighbours project aims to foster a feeling of positive wellbeing and independence for those who may be socially isolated, or who don’t have many people around them, giving that “little bit of help”.
The project helps people in the community feel safe, supported, and more able to live an independent life, whilst preventing, reducing and delaying the need for formal support through Adult Social Care. It also provides people the opportunity to volunteer a little time, in a flexible way, to make a difference in their own community. We know volunteering can lead to enhanced skills, and positive wellbeing. Volunteers provide practical or social support, completing “one-off’ or short-term tasks, supporting a neighbour. This includes tasks like collecting essentials, driving someone to a GP appointment, helping with odd jobs around the house, light gardening, or checking in with someone for a cuppa and chat.
Role Purpose
We are looking for a talented, dynamic, and professional Project Manager to join our team in Newcastle. The right candidate would be someone with excellent knowledge of “best practice” in Volunteer Management and with experience of establishing new and exciting volunteering programmes.
This is a senior role within our Newcastle team so it is essential that the postholder is agile, can work flexibly, is an excellent communicator, and can build strong working relationships with a range of people.

- has experience of fundraising ideally in community or challenge event fundraising
- has excellent written and verbal skills – with experience of building strong relationships

You will be responsible for:
- Providing a high standard of stewardship for supporters, nurturing existing supporters, thanking donors, and supporting charity events, such as our supporter reception.

- Keeping the fundraising pages updated, helping to design and produce fundraising materials (flyers and fundraising packs).
- You will be working closely with the Fundraising and Development Manager and will be required to support the wider Communications team where needed with additional fundraising activities.
This position is home-based with occasional travel for fundraising events.

Stewardship
- Monitoring the fundraising inbox, acting as a first point of contact for a wide range of supporters and enquirers.
- Developing individual giving income through enhanced communications, great stewardship and supporting on fundraising appeals.

- Completing thanking processes efficiently for donations.

Administration
- Keeping accurate records of all prospect and supporter interactions on our CRM system, Raisers Edge NXT.
- Optimising fundraising and donation opportunities at key charity events, researching and recording information.
- Supporting the Fundraising and Development Manager as and when needed.
- Working with colleagues across, communications and services teams to ensure a smooth flow of information to support fundraising promotion and engagement.

SUMMARY OF ROLE
The Events & Marketing Coordinator will play an essential role in delivering high-impact engagement activities and supporting the wider work of RABI’s Marketing and Communications team. Reporting to the Events & Engagement Manager, you’ll help coordinate the charity’s presence at a wide range of events -including agricultural shows, external affairs engagements, conferences and community activities, ensuring a consistently professional and compelling presence across England and Wales. You will play a key part in engaging with supporters, volunteers, ambassadors and the public, representing RABI with warmth and professionalism.
The role will also help collate and provide valuable marketing and content support, including supporting the capturing of photography and video for use on digital channels, assisting with the development of volunteer and ambassador case studies, and supporting CRM data collection and engagement surveys. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Event Coordination and Delivery
- Assist with the organisation and delivery of national and regional events including agricultural shows, external affairs events, volunteer engagement activities and community outreach initiatives.
- Support event logistics such as venue booking, catering, AV, signage, promotional materials, staffing, travel, and health and safety compliance.
- Coordinate post-event evaluation, collecting feedback, attendance data, and impact measures to inform future planning.

Marketing and Promotional Support
- Work with the MarComms team to coordinate event and show related content for social media, digital platforms and printed collateral.
- Ensure all events, shows and conferences are added to RABI’s website and online calendar.

- Help to prepare pre-event and post-event communications including invitations, newsletters and thank-you communications.

The EEM will support pathways, work placements, recruitment pipelines and workshops by ensuring employer input is actively embedded where relevant.
This is a strategic, hands-on role, the successful candidate will map and cultivate employer relationships, secure employer input into sector pathways, workshops and recruitment initiatives, translate labour market intelligence into programme improvements, and design the operational processes that enable Programmes and Corporate Partnerships to work together effectively. You will operate in a matrix environment, collaborating closely with the Programmes, Corporate Partnerships and Client Services teams but will not hold direct line-management of delivery staff.
The role is set up to be ambitious but achievable within 12 months. The Services Manager (Housing) will primarily focus on managing New Horizon's busy Housing Advice service, delivered both from the day centre and remotely. You will work with the Head of Housing Services to ensure the service responds holistically to young people with multiple needs or barriers. You should have relevent professional experience within the housing and homelessness sector, be a passionate advocate for young people and have the ability to motivate a team to deliver high quality services in a fast-paced environment. The key aspects of this important new role are supporting membership, championing communications and impact, and overseeing youth engagement, which you will lead on at an organisational level, working closely with senior colleagues.
As a membership organisation, the role of Head of Membership & Impact is crucial to the core mission of our charity, and forms part of our core team, working closely with both our CEO and Head of Partnerships & Grants, with support from your line reports.
Membership: You will oversee our membership process of our 170 members, from new joiners to member training and networking provision. The responsibilities of membership are varied, but include
- Ensuring a rigorous membership onboarding, survey and renewal process
- Designing and facilitating a comprehensive membership and events offer that meets members’ needs and fulfills our commitments from funders;
- Maintaining strong direct relationships with members, and overseeing the work with supplementary schools
Impact & Communications: You will lead YCF’s impactful communications and reporting. Responsibility areas will include:
- Overseeing YCF’s collection and effective use of our CRM and data, including about members
- Developing and writing effective and impactful reporting and storytelling of YCF’s work
- Embedding effective communications across YCF’s team
- Overseeing YCF’s online presence, including social media and our website
Youth engagement: Finally, you will oversee YCF’s youth engagement, via the following areas:
- Overseeing the delivery of our Young Ambassadors programme, in coordination with a leading youth social action provider, in line with best practice
- Facilitate and develop impactful opportunities for young Camdeners to have a say in decisions that impact them
You will also be a key leader at YCF and a core member of the SMT, managing two part-time staff members. You will champion the areas of membership, impact and communications and youth engagement across YCF and with external stakeholders. You will be called upon to represent the organisation in key spaces, including with Camden Council, key funders, and elsewhere.

Essential and desirable criteria
The essential criteria we are looking for are as follows:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience of report writing
- Confidence and experience in handling data, and generating reports from data
- Experience of using Salesforce, Mailchimp / similar CRM effectively
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to successful manage a busy and diverse workload
- Experience generating and leading on social media / website content
- A commitment to the core values of YCF’s work: collaboration, community, equality and sustainability
- A collaborative approach to work
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
It would also be desirable, but not essential, if the candidate has:
- Previous experience working with voluntary and community groups and/or public sector organisations
- Experience working with young people
- Line management experience
- Understanding / professional or lived experience of the lived context of Camden
- Experience planning, facilitating and delivering events
- Experience of design software, such as Canva
