About You
Are you a committed, flexible Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience looking to expand your skills and would enjoy the opportunity to work with military veterans? Can you work independently but still enjoy having the support of a team and are happy to embrace a flexible work pattern that might include some overnight stays? If you also have experience of delivering Occupational Therapy (OT) in both physical and mental health conditions, as well the areas of sleep difficulties and sensory needs then this is the role for you. About the Role
In this role you will work in the homes and local communities of our veterans and be able to support them with physical and mental health needs that are creating barriers to meaningful occupation. You will also be able to identify those barriers that are affecting our veterans’ ability to be as independent as possible and enable them to live the life they want to live. You will be assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating OT interventions and have the space to be creative in your solutions that will improve the lives of our Heroes.

South Wales Victim Focus serves diverse communities, many of whom experience a range of barriers that may impact on their ability to cope and recover from what they have experienced. South Wales Victim Focus aims to identify what matters to service users and empower them to take control of their journey. The purpose of this role is to support victims, ensuring that South Wales Victim Focus realise their aim of helping people cope and recover from the effects of crime.
To be successful in the role, you will have experience of delivering a service and working directly with clients or service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting, as well as working with vulnerable service users with diverse and challenging needs in different situations and settings. You will be customer focussed and deliver excellence in service delivery, building and maintaining relationships with external partners and key stakeholders. You will be able to work without direct supervision, prioritising work and dealing with competing or conflicting demands/ needs and interests in an organised and methodical manner. You will have knowledge of safeguarding legislation and practice and sound IT expertise.
