JOB PURPOSE 

Reporting to the Director of People, the Head of People Services is responsible for leading the delivery of a quality and customer focused core people service to MSF UK. The post holder leads on all operational aspects of the People department (with the exception of employee relations), including all recruitment, core people and payroll processes, administration, systems, data and reporting. 

Key duties areas follows: 

• Lead, motivate and develop the People Services team towards our goal of providing a seamless and customer focused people service. 
• Encourage and develop the team’s interaction and collaboration across MSF UK to support high standards of service delivery and continuous improvement, with a focus on recruitment as the priority, ensuring that a workforce plan is in place for recruitment activity. 
• Project-manage the development and implementation of efficient, effective, customer focused end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes for MSF UK office and hosted contracts, including the introduction of the new ATS. 
• Work with the Head of Employee Relations to update People Services’ policies and ensure people policy updates are embedded as documented procedures. 
• Lead the production of people reporting statistics; analysing information and producing draft reports for the CoDir, Remuneration Committee and Board. Ensure that the information provided enables managers and the Board to make decisions. 
• Lead the team to ensuretheefficientprovisionofpayandbenefitsadministrationtoensurepayrollaccuracy and compliance with legislation, and lead the implementation of the annual pay review and periodic salary benchmarking. 
• Lead on external relationships and ensure contracts are in place that support the effective running of the People department. Responsible for the management, renewal and procurement of external supplier contracts. 
• Ensure effective data security, DPA and FOI systems are in place and are monitored.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

1. MCIPD qualified (level 7) or an equivalent level of professional knowledge and experience gained through demonstrable significant experience working in People functions across recruitment, core people services and payroll. 
2. Evidence of skills and experience in developing and implementing efficient Recruitment and core People systems and processes that are efficient, legally compliant, represent value for money, and meet customers’ needs.
3. Process improvement methodology training and/or significant experience creating new and updating people processes and procedures.

You will develop and manage event budgets and continuously improve the programme based on evaluation and data.

Main responsibilities:

• To support delivery of The FA Schools’ Football Strategy and the English Schools’ FA’s Business Plan

About the role

The Director of Membership Services provides strategic leadership for the Membership Services directorate and is therefore responsible for the development and implementation of all Imperial College Union strategy relating to Student Activities, Representation, Advice, Governance and Policy. The role ensure the delivery and resourcing of operating plans, policy and operating procedures to ensure that the Union delivers its strategic objectives across its Membership Services.

The Service Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the mission of our charity by providing comprehensive assistance and advocacy services to individuals and families in need. Programme Planning, Delivery and Implementation

•  To design and deliver the  Activity Camps and After School Club  Programme calendar, curriculum, and events that are outcomes-focused, educational, and engaging, and enable young people to develop a range of skills appropriate to their needs.

• Working with Children, young people, and their families to build services that meet their needs, wants, and aspirations of the individual.

• Work in Collaboration with the Leadership Team  to oversee the work of the Spring Activity Camps Coordinators to design and develop a range of activities, workshops, and programmes to meet the needs of our children, young people, and their families 

• Collaborate with other staff members, volunteers, and external partners to deliver engaging, fun, and impactful activities

We are looking for a self-motivated and results driven Head of Finance and Administration to join World Horse Welfare in a newly created role reporting to the Director of Finance, IT & Administration, line managing three members of the Finance and Administration team.

In this vital role, you will ensure strong financial controls across all areas of the charity, manage income and expenditure, and lead on statutory accounts preparation, payroll, VAT, pensions, and tax compliance. As a key business partner, you will work closely with budget holders of all levels, providing data and analysis on the performance of charity operations, including the four Visitor Centres, to ensure excellent financial foresight and planning, as well as enabling the senior leadership team to make timely strategic decisions. You’ll also oversee governance responsibilities such as annual statutory filings, insurance, fleet management and reporting on the annual carbon footprint.

We are looking for a qualified accountant who has experience of charity finance at a similar level, an in depth understanding of charity VAT and experience running in-house payroll processes. You will have the ability to explain financial information and produce financial reports for a wide variety of audiences. High level of IT skills particularly around data manipulation and Microsoft Excel is essential. As a line manager to three members of staff, you’ll have previous experience in managing a team in a supportive and effective manner. Experience of a retail environment, familiarity with fundraising methods and regulations, and experience of finance system implementation is highly desirable.

The role is based in Norfolk and is currently a hybrid split of 2 days in our head office in Snetterton and 3 days at home. You may be required to attend events around the UK so the ability to travel occasionally is necessary.

The role

We are looking for an experienced part-time NEBOSH or IOSH qualified Health and Safety Manager, who will lead manage and develop our health and safety requirements and responsibilities around working outside and around water.

We have a health and safety management plan which following on from our Health and Safety audit, has outlined the framework for this role and what is needed to be implemented over the next 12 months.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Work with both Head of HR and Operations Manager on certain aspects of office Health & Safety with as and where necessary
• Project manage and deliver all requirements of the new created H&S Management Plan
• Work with managers on Construction Design Management (CDM) health and safety
• Track and ensure that risk assessments are being completed within teams for events and elsewhere where required in Thames21
• Work with HR and line managers to ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) are created, updated and reviewed periodically
• Deliver the H&S induction session with new joiners when and where applicable
• Work with the Operations Manager to ensure vehicle checks are conducted in accordance with the vehicles policy, and that all drivers are trained in the use of the inspection checklists and all aspects of vehicle inspection.
• Compile a quarterly incident report to the Head of HR
• Manage the incident reporting system, escalating serious incidents (including risks) to senior management

• Manage a programme of safety audits to reporting these to the management team
• Manage and run the quarterly H&S group meetings and keep track of progress of actions that have been assigned
• Conduct training sessions on other related health and safety as and when required
• Other duties commensurate with the role
