About the role
It’s an exciting time to join CXK as we continue to expand our reach and launch our new 5-year strategy.
We are searching for a Head of Bids, Grants and Tenders to work within our Development and Partnerships Team. This exciting new role will be responsible for writing and submitting compelling bids and proposals that clearly align to CXK’s strategic and operational vision, meeting the needs of our commissioners and funders.
The role will drive income generation and growth for the charity, creating high-quality tender responses on a regular basis, developing a pipeline of current and potential opportunities and proactively ensuring that all business development systems and processes are fully implemented.
As part of our Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Bids, Grants and Tenders will contribute to the strategic development of CXK, working closely with the Director of Development and Partnerships, our service leads, and the wider Senior Leadership Team.

This role will require exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and compelling content aligned to a specification, with a proven track record of successfully responding to complex tender opportunities, and grant submissions.
The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of public or the not-for-profit sector and the areas impacting our work, such as education, employability, skills, rehabilitation and justice. This will be supported by proven experience of managing end-to-end tender processes and the achievement of financial targets.

IPSEA is the leading charity in the field of special educational needs and disability (SEND) law in England, and we provide free and independent legal advice and support to families of children and young people with SEND. IPSEA has a proven track record of successfully securing grants, and this is a new role designed to help strengthen and grow IPSEA’s income from charitable Trusts and Foundations. Job Title: Rural Programme Coordinator – based in Liberia & Sierra Leone

Since 2008, we have helped over 1,500,000 children go to school and learn.
Role Purpose:
- Oversee Street Child’s rolling school construction programme in Liberia and Sierra Leone.
- Support in-school, community engagement, and economic empowerment activities.
- Work closely with local partners to manage the construction of 50-100 primary and secondary schools annually.
- Frequent travel to rural communities to monitor projects and gather updates for internal and donor reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Reporting & Programme Funding Engagement – 30%
- Review narrative and financial quarterly reports from country teams and provide feedback.
- Lead the consolidation of narrative reports for various donors.
- Ensure regular information flow to communications and fundraising teams.
- Support income-generation efforts, including drafting funding proposals and donor visits.
2. Programme Management – 35%
- Collaborate with national partners, Government, and community stakeholders to identify and assess school construction needs.
- Ensure quality and timely implementation of school construction programming.
- Develop systems to track progress against key milestones and address challenges.
- Train and guide partner staff to ensure the effective use of programme documents and tools.
- Monitor safeguarding policies and support feedback loops with partners and participants.
3. Finance & Procurement – 20%
- Oversee the procurement process, ensuring value for money in selecting contractors.
- Work with finance colleagues to compile financial reporting for programme donors.
- Support teams in compiling requisitions in line with programme forecasts and budgets.
- Coordinate the tracking of donor and match funding requirements.
4. Other – 15%
- Provide surge support across Street Child’s programme portfolio.

Person Specification:
Experience and Knowledge:
- Relevant field experience in development programming with local partnership respect.
- Successful delivery of team objectives through collaboration.
- Experience with data collection, cleaning, and analysis.

We are seeking an individual to undertake the dual role of promoting the profile of the RAF Benevolent Funds welfare offer, whilst also carrying out welfare casework. The successful candidate will have experience of working in a social welfare role supporting individuals and will have strong people and relationship-building skills, as well as empathy with or understanding of issues affecting the Armed Forces community.
This is a community-based position working from home but covering the Yorkshire and Durham areas, ideally based in the York area. The Governance Team manages the effective operation of The Scout Association’s Board of Trustees and its sub-Committees. Our Governance Officers have a key role in the management of these and the production of the documentation required to facilitate each meeting.
We are looking for a highly organised and competent individual who has good experience of minute taking at Board and Committee level, and who is keen to broaden their knowledge in the third sector and in the company secretarial profession. You’ll have a keen eye for detail and confidence and sensitivity to manage strategic level information in a professional manner.
Time management will be key in ensuring you are fully prepared for the committee cycle which includes agenda preparation, in consultation with the Chair and key staff support, collation and distribution of papers, taking minutes at the meetings and sharing agreed actions with Committee members.
You’ll be expected to provide ongoing support to the Chair of the Board, including diary management, and support to our trustees, including ad hoc enquiries, inductions, arranging appraisals and booking accommodation.
As a volunteer led organisation, The Scout Association holds Board meetings at weekends and Committee meetings during normal office hours (between 9am and 5pm) as well as some in the evening and at weekends. Reasonable notice will be given when required to attend these meetings.
Governing Documents and Events
The Governance Team also manage the Association’s Policy, Organisation and Rules (POR) document which needs careful scrutiny and annual updates in line with changes to legislation and operationally within the movement.
Working with the Governance Manager, the Governance Officer is responsible for providing statistical reports on a quarterly basis for the Board.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Company Secretary and Governance Manager with effective management of the Committees serviced by the Governance Team. This includes being aware of agenda items prior to each meeting to mitigate any potential issues that may arise.
- Taking the minutes of agreed Committee and Board meetings and producing a set of minutes for approval within agreed time period.

Job Purpose
The Director of Finance, Operations & Compliance will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, working to ensure the impact, sustainability, diligence and productivity of the organisation, with a commitment to organisational transformation within the framework of a values-led approach to people and culture.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy, Planning and Control:

Accountable for organisational financial strategy, working with senior staff and trustees to ensure multi-year planning, target setting and monitoring in line with Habitat GB’s strategic objectives.

Accountable for all aspects of financial management and control, including budgeting, reforecasting, treasury management, cashflow, management information, performance and statutory reporting.

Accountable for the development and continuous improvement of reporting frameworks, including leading regular reviews with Senior Leadership team and providing quantitative and qualitative reports for the Board including clear and accessible narrative analysis.

Provision of financial management and accounting services, management information, and statutory reporting.

Lead the organisation of quarterly Finance, Audit & Risk Committee meetings, in line with the Committee Terms of Reference and in consultation with the Treasurer, and National Director/CEO.

Responsible for the preparation and submission of annual statutory accounts in accordance with SORP and legal requirements and coordinating the external audit exercise and seeing the process through to Board approvals and filing with statutory bodies.

Lead a positive and collaborative relationship with HFHI Finance teams and ensure that Habitat GB meets its regular reporting requirements.

Lead Habitat GB’s relationship with relevant external partners, including auditors, bankers, insurers, pension providers, HMRC, Charity Commission and Companies House.
GB Homes Subsidiary Entity:

Working closely with the National Director/CEO on planning for the future wind-up of the entity, providing all financial management, reporting and compliance resources as required in the interim.

Working with the Director of Programme Delivery, provide financial resource and support to the management of the former GB Homes asset portfolio, developing appropriate reporting mechanisms that provide data which can be included into the combined budgeting and reporting of Habitat GB

Accountable for integration and ongoing provision of the operational requirements of the GB Homes subsidiary, including insurance, technology, and communications requirements.
Fundraising & Programmes support:

Work closely with the Directors of Fundraising & Partnerships, and of Impact & Influence to set ambitious and achievable targets across restricted and unrestricted fundraising, track performance, and ensure high quality forecasting, reporting and budget management.

Be responsible for the development and oversight of policies, protocols and systems required for restricted fund management which align with Habitat for Humanity International and external donor requirements.

Work collaboratively across Habitat GB to agree service delivery expectations and ensure the timely provision of relevant inputs from the Finance, Operations & Compliance team across partnership and programme cycles. For example, audit or financial reporting requirements from donors, up to date policies, review of proposal documents, grants and contract agreements.

Work closely with the Directors of Programme Delivery & Retail to ensure Habitat GB has the specialist knowledge and financial skills relevant to our diverse types of programmes, including a new and growing retail operation, as well as construction project delivery.
Risk Management and Compliance:

Lead on the development and maintenance of the organisational Risk Register, being responsible for the management and mitigation of financial, regulatory and operational risks and coordinating with others on the reporting and review of other risk areas.

Ensure Habitat GB is fully compliant and up to date with all its data protection and insurance requirements and has access to appropriate legal and other expert resources where necessary.

Be responsible for technology infrastructure, hardware and the management of outsourced support services.
People Policies and HR Administration:

Support the Head of People to deliver a high-quality People and HR service to the organisation and our partners, including efficient HR administration, pension and payroll, people management, safeguarding, strategy and leadership.

Working closely with the National Director and others, have overall responsibility for the provision of up to date, user-friendly and legally compliant policies and procedures which support an efficient and effective organisational culture and environment.

About the Team
You will be part of a small team of experts who thrive on creative thinking and finding innovative ways to create engaging content. This small and dynamic team is part of the wider Marketing and Communications team who work collaboratively, supporting each other on a variety of exciting projects.
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this.
Their vision is to find a cure for all types of brain tumours. To achieve their mission, they are looking for a Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships to lead the high value function, including income from major donors, corporate partners, and trusts and grants. The P&P team also encompasses volunteering and relationships held with the family of member charities.
There is currently an interim Head of P&P in place until August to ensure progress continues towards the income ambition, and to support the team.
The P&P function is on a journey, much work has been done to embed effective processes and a consistent approach to pipelining. There has been much improvement so far, but there remains a lot of scope for the incoming Head to shape the team, define areas of focus and ways of working.
The team have had significant success this year, especially in the corporate partnerships space, so there is energy and enthusiasm to harness. There are exciting opportunities for high value fundraising connected to the launch of new Centres of Excellence across the UK, and some key events in the calendar such as a major donor dinner in September.
This role would suit an experienced fundraiser across major donor or corporate income streams. You will have led a team before, and have experience of designing and delivering fundraising strategies.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to come into a team that is on the right path, but needs a confident Head of to ensure the team works in the most effective way, and to provide support and guidance to the team.
Please note - the successful candidate will be required to work from Brain Tumour Research's office in Milton Keynes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
