We are looking for someone to join our Public Fundraising Team as a Senior Challenge & Public Events Officer, to independently manage and have overall responsibility for leading on the planning and delivery of a pilot bespoke running event happening in May 2025. 

The ideal candidate will have experience of project managing large-scale events with exceptional organisational skills; developing multi-channel marketing plans; developing and delivering complex stewardship journeys, and have strong relationship management skills. 

Please note that this is an 8-month opportunity, of 21 hours per week. Due to the time-sensitive nature of planning this event, we are looking to have someone in post by mid-October. Please take this into consideration when submitting your application.

Main duties:

Create visually appealing pages using the WordPress Gutenberg page builder in collaboration with colleagues, providing guidance on layout and content presentation.

Implement content updates on the WordPress CMS, ensuring the site is dynamic and up to date, including refreshing hero banners based on agreed priorities.

Study site analytics and make recommendations for UX improvements to address user pain points.

Troubleshoot bugs or errors under the guidance of the HDE and escalate to the web development agency when necessary.

Conduct quality assurance using tools like Google Search Console, performance checks, and broken link checker software.

Provide support to web editors by troubleshooting upload issues and assisting with the creation and approval of web resources to ensure adherence to style guidelines and upload procedures.

Onboard new web editors, giving training sessions and updating the web editor’s guide and style guide when necessary.

Source and edit photography for news stories and web pages, maintaining an organized image folder structure with properly labelled and captioned images.

Assist with monthly website reports, using tools such as Matomo.

Review and action web contact requests, providing timely support with requests based on HDE guidance.

Support digital development projects as requested by the HDE.

Maintain the CRM by supporting data updates as necessary.

We are proud to be partnering with a well-established grant giving organisation to help find their next Finance Assistant on a 6 month contract (full time). This role requires you to be in their central London office 5 days per week for the first 3 months and 3 days in the office per week thereafter.
 
The Finance Assistant is responsible for smoothly running all transactional processes for grants, payments, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The post holder will also lead on any applicable system enhancements thus offering a critical and wide-ranging systems support role for the charity.  The post holder will ensure that financial transactions are properly allocated, recorded, and maintained. They will assist in the preparation of audit data as well as supporting project reporting to aid in the preparation of the annual statutory audit. 
 

• To provide a high standard of financial grants support to the Charity, including modelling income, expenditure and cashflow.
• To provide a high standard of financial administrative support in processing supplier invoices using the appropriate VAT coding and processing of grant payments on the SAGE database.
• To process the payment of grants to ensure that payments are kept in line with both cashflow and forecast. 
• Process grants payments and check against grant contracts. 
• Monitoring and follow up on overdue grant requirements, including the chasing of contracts.
• Extract financial grant data from the Charity’s systems and produce financial analysis and forecasting models and reports on past and current funding, coupled with forward projections to improve visibility of and planning for future financial commitments.

We are seeking a Communications and Events Assistant to help amplify the Foundation’s research and promote our flagship Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities programme. We’re looking for a passionate communicator who wants to use their skills to drive positive change.

Strategic Visionary - Collaborating with key stakeholders to align events with the bigger picture. They'll be instrumental in ensuring events not only succeed but thrive, all while staying on budget and on mission.
Community Champion- Building strong relationships with artists, vendors, sponsors, and community partners to create a festival experience that's inclusive, engaging, and unforgettable.
Marketing Maven - Leading bold, innovative marketing campaigns, focusing on digital media, guerrilla marketing, and more. They'll keep the audience engaged and excited about everything they do.
Team Leader - Inspiring and guiding a team of assistants, interns, and volunteers to achieve their best. The Events Manager will be a mentor, motivator, and event-planning rockstar!

The Community Mass Participation Lead will be a driving force behind community fundraising. You will help us engage, coach, and encourage our supporters, adding value to their relationship with the Charity for Civil Servants.

You will be responsible for successful end-to-end product design and delivery, including our flagship digital participation events, Mega Miles Challenge and Festive Jumper Day. You will also identify and implement strategic, data and insight-led improvements, new product opportunities, and innovation for growth.

To be successful in this role, you'll be an expert in relationship building and passionate about engaging and mobilising communities and audiences. You will also have demonstrable experience leading and co-ordinating the delivery of community fundraising activity, and product development processes.
