What will you be doing?
A wonderful opportunity for vibrant creative individuals to come up with new fundraising ideas and put them into practice.
We would love to hear from anyone who is passionate about fundraising and loves organising events, from cake sales to fun runs. This fundraiser role is an important role, it will help bring in much needed funds to support what we do, your involvement will include
- Research, identify and develop new fundraising opportunities and areas of potential support
- Represent the charity where needed, at other events and functions organised by third parties if/when required
- To cultivate relationships with volunteers, individual supporters and partnerships. Including local businesses, schools and community groups
- Help to deliver presentations to groups and schools in your local community
- Network within the local community to raise awareness of the charity and grow supporters
- Source raffle/auction prizes from existing supporters as well as approaching new / cold leads
- Support the Charity with promotion and sign up for challenges
Experience Required:
- Minimum one year fundraising/events planning experience required
- Enthusiasim for the role

We are thrilled to welcome a Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser to support our Operational Director at a pivotal time for our charity.
After a challenging period of inactivity due to the impacts of Covid, we are excited to embark on a new chapter, as we are ready to restart our activities in 2025 and to develop our projects and create a positive impact in our community.
This is a unique opportunity for those eager to be part of a project evolving from its early stages to the launch of new initiatives. The volunteer will have ample opportunity to grow with the charity.
We are looking for a passionate and articulate Fundraiser with experience in focusing on Trusts & Foundations.
What this position entails
Will be working and managing a team of three fundraising assistant volunteers who will also support our charity with Social Media activities. We are looking to recruit a talented and driven individual to join us and help to develop our Trust and Foundations fundraising programme as we are walking towards restarting our activities this year.
The key focus of the role is:
· Work towards developing a warm portfolio of donors, including large multi-year funders, seeking to extend their support wherever possible through close relationship fundraising.
· Researching, exploring and securing new business opportunities.
Main areas of responsibility:
· Work closely with the Operational Director, Volunteer Marketing Manager and Volunteer Fundraising and Admin Assistants to develop innovative and persuasive proposals aimed at acquiring new partnerships and supporters.
· Thank funders promptly and ensure that regular progress reports and updates are received by supporters as and when required.
· Develop creative and exciting stewardship plans to enhance the long-term relationship between Willowbrook Farm Charity and our funders.
· Work on the fundraising cycle to identify new prospects securing new income.
· Identify new potential funders and match them to WBFC work.
· Prepare and submit high-quality funding proposals and budgets in accordance with timetables and application criteria.
· Maintain accurate records, analysis and reporting of new business secured.
What do you need to become our Fundraising Coordinator?
Essential:
This role would suit a candidate with a good understanding of the charity sector and
proven success in fundraising from trusts and foundations, along with a superb ability to write with flair and creativity, as well as the verbal presentation skills to match. We are looking for a motivated team player to join our exciting and new team of volunteers. Are you a proactive fundraiser and looking to support a small charity? We're looking for 2 energetic and enthusiastic fundraiser volunteers to increase the fundraising opportunities for the charity as well as developing corporate partnerships, legacy giving, individual giving and major donors. This role may also include:
- Develop new and imaginative fundraising activities, many of which involve organising events
- Project manage fundraising events, from inception all the way through to evaluation

- Helping to maintain the fundraising database, ensuring accuracy and consistency of all records;

- Keeping in contact with current & past donors and assisting in finding new donors
- Communicating with past fundraisers and encourage them to consider fundraising in the future
- Assist in marketing our events
- Development / Improvement of fundraising support (e.g fundraising packs and materials)
- Create fundraising & donation posts for social media & email marketing
Key & Desirable Skills:
- Fully computer literate and fully able with the main Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint as well as the internet and email
- Knowledge of using CRM systems or ability to learn
- Outgoing, friendly and proactive character
- Good initiative and ability to work with little direct supervision but will ask when help is needed
- Be comfortable volunteering within a small team or by yourself
- Good communication skills - Ability to communicate effectively at a number of different levels
- Ability to communicate effectively by telephone, written correspondence and in person
- Experience of writing funding proposals and working in fundraising would be an advantage
- Strong organisational skills
- Knowledge of corporate fundraising techniques including Charity of the Year, sponsorship, donations, marketing would be an advantage
- An ability to present and engage potential partners/sponsors in a compelling way
- Maintaining strict confidentiality
Practical Considerations:
- Age over 18 only
- Expenses will be given in line with the charity’s expenses policy
- It is an indoor role at one site – your home, but occasionally meetings are held in other offices and in the office of the charity or online

East London Waterworks Park is a volunteer-led charity that has won a 2024 New London Architecture award and raised £2m towards buying land from the Department for Education to transform the 14-acre Thames Water Depot on Lea Bridge Road on the border of Waltham Forest and Hackney, into a new biodiverse park with natural swimming ponds, forest schools and community spaces.
We are looking for fundraisers to contribute to our community-led fundraising strategy, to develop relationships with funders and to write funding applications.
You would join our fundraising circle, which coordinates our fundraising efforts. It is currently exploring grant opportunities and developing relationships with businesses and other funders. We meet online on Google Meet and volunteers complete agreed tasks remotely.
If you have experience in writing grants and funding applications, corporate fundraising, philanthropy, or any other aspect of fundraising, it would be great to hear from you.
We are keen fundraisers but we are lacking professional expertise and experience and we would love your help and input. We would welcome one-off advice on the phone or in person, as well as longer term volunteers.

We are a small, friendly charity, run by four volunteer trustees and loads of volunteer fundraisers. We are seeking a volunteer treasurer to help us with financial management and reporting. Our turnover is less than £50,000 per year and we are therefore able to produce light touch accounts for the Charity Commission. We would like support with this, and with ensuring we remain financially compliant, as well as with ideas for sustainable fundraising. The trustees meet less than once a month and we anticipate a small time committment for this role.
We are particularly keen to see applications from people who have a specific interest in health and wellbeing for people living in war affected states, especially Yemen; or who have a connection with Liverpool. As our Volunteer Treasurer, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial health of the charity. A bit about this role:
As a charity we can help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations from our supporters. Raising funds is a key role in our charity, helping to raise the vital funds needed to help more cats and kittens in need.
As a fundraising volunteer, we will support you every step of the way to ensure your time at Cats Protection is a positive and rewarding one. Whatever time you can give really does make a big difference We have lots of exciting activities to choose from for example attending a fundraising event, fundraising online, promoting fundraising activities on social media, handling administrative tasks, or contributing to the development of new fundraising ideas. Whatever your skill set, this role could be perfect for you!
What can you expect to be doing?
As a flexible role, you have the choice to be involved in the following:
- face-to-face fundraising – organising or helping with fundraising events, attending supermarket collections and monitoring collection boxes.
- online fundraising – assisting with online appeals, increasing social media engagement to maximise funds raised.
- bringing new ideas! We always love to come up with new ideas to raise funds for cats and we’d love to help bring yours to life.
- engaging with your local branch and Fundraising Hub and feeling like an integral part of the team.

You will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge though Cats Protection’s learn online system, providing you with the skills to thrive as a fundraiser. You’ll also have the chance to meet new people and be part of a dedicated team of volunteers. Money raised by our volunteers enables us to put cats first. Cats are at the centre of all we do. We care for them, ensure their welfare, and help others to understand and better support them.
We're looking for someone with:
- Sympathetic to cats and our values
- Happy to be part of a team of dedicated volunteers and employees.
- Flexible and adaptable to different events/activities
- Open to new ideas and ways of fundraising
Time expectation
This role is very flexible, often certain times of the year are busier than others. You can choose your level of involvement to suit your schedule.
Support, guidance and keeping you safe
At Cats Protection we believe our volunteers should be happy and confident in their roles. We provide support and guidance from our National Cat Centre and through our regional and local volunteer groups and teams. We offer engaging online and face-to-face training, expenses and have policies and processes to help volunteers get the most out of their time with us.
The well being of our people is important and at Cats Protection we are committed to safeguarding children, adults at risk and all those that we encounter as part of our activities.

Lead Support Volunteer
We’re the MS Society – a community of people living with MS, scientists, campaigners, listeners, organisers, ambassadors and fundraisers. Our volunteers are a key part of achieving our goals and their support is vital. Join us.
About this opportunity
We are looking to recruit a Lead Support Volunteer for the North Somerset Group. As a Lead Support Volunteer, you will be coordinating the support team, representing the needs of people affected by MS and our services and collate information about relevant local organisations. This is a great opportunity to gain experience within a large charity and develop your existing skills and learn new ones. We need you to get involved and help make positive changes to the lives of people affected by MS.
About you
You’ll have an interest in the MS Society and the work that we do, as well as the enthusiasm to represent both us and our values locally. You will understand the needs of people affected by MS in your area and be sympathetic to the needs and motivations of volunteers. You’ll have empathetic listening and interpersonal skills and be able to support a team of volunteers.

About this opportunity
We are looking to recruit a Regional Development Event Volunteer for the London area. As an Event Volunteer, you will be participating in events and promoting them locally.
We need you to get involved and help make positive changes to the lives of people affected by MS.
This is a great opportunity to gain experience within a large charity and develop your existing skills and learn new ones.
About you
You’ll have an interest in the MS Society and the work that we do, as well as the enthusiasm to represent both us and our values locally.
You will understand the needs of people affected by MS in your area and be sympathetic to the needs and motivations of volunteers.
You’ll be friendly and welcoming and able to work as part of a team, with flexibility to travel across London.
