We are looking for someone who understands the energy sector and the unique role that a community energy group can play in the energy transition. It is a role for someone who can imagine community solutions to energy sector issues and to translate these into fundable projects.
Your role will be to work with our board of Directors and staff to come to an understanding of our mission and values and our strategic priorities and develop and resource projects that will enable us to meet those priorities filling gaps in provision. In a practical sense, you will work with stakeholders e.g. our staff, our members, local community groups, local authorities and clients to generate ideas for future projects. The direction of travel should be broadly determined by our recent strategic review.
You will work closely with our CEO and our Board of Directors to prioritise project ideas. You will develop partnerships, refine project ideas, identify sources of funding (Trusts and Grantmakers, Corporate Giving), draft bids and cost delivery on a full cost recovery basis, submit bids and if funding is awarded, mobilise the team to deliver the work. This role provides a big and exciting challenge for someone who knows the energy sector, understands the opportunity of community and grassroots solutions, who brings excellent written communication skills and is willing to learn how to fundraise.
Responsibilities:
Grant Fundraising Support:
• Work with the Selce community (the board, staff, volunteers and other stakeholders) to generate new project ideas that support our strategic mission
• Research and identify potential grant-making trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies that will fund project proposals
• Prepare high-quality grant applications; this includes calculating budget requirements, formulating proposals, writing proposals
• Manage the grant administration process and maintain accurate records of funding opportunities and applications in the fundraising calendar.
Commissioned Work & Tendering Support:
• Assist in researching and identifying opportunities for commissioned work.
• Support the preparation of tender documents and proposals, including gathering necessary information, budgeting and formatting submissions.
• Provide administrative support for contract negotiation and agreement finalisation.
Community Share Capital
• Draft community share offer brochures and associated documentation
• Support the implementation of strategies to raise community share capital.
• Assist in planning and executing share offer campaigns, including preparing marketing materials and organising investor events.
• Help manage investor communications and data, ensuring compliance with cooperative principles and financial regulations.
Develop and Maintain Relationships
• Assist in building and nurturing relationships with funders, commissioners, and community investors through effective communication.
• Support the organisation’s representation at external events and networking opportunities.
Skills & Experience:
The ability to imagine and innovate and thereby build fundable project-based solutions working in partnership with stakeholders is more important that fundraising experience per se. This post would suit an Energy Policy graduate that has experience of either community energy or journalism (and therefore brings strong writing skills) or environmental projects

Key details

The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a postgraduate-level researcher who wishes to combine their expertise in education research and astute understanding of real-life classroom practice. While the role will sit within the Chartered College of Teaching, the postholder will also receive mentoring from Professor Bill Lucas, Professor of Learning and Director of the Centre for Real-Life Learning at the University of Winchester, providing a rare opportunity to combine academically rigorous research with real-life application. As part of a project funded by the Comino Foundation, the Teaching and Assessment Research Specialist will help to increase teachers’ assessment literacy by managing a portfolio of assessment-themed online events, developing a suite of assessment-themed resources, co-ordinating the work of the Next Generation Assessment group and developing an overview of evidence-informed teaching and assessment strategies and how they link to intended student outcomes, based on a series of rapid evidence reviews.
Over the course of the assignment, you will support the Head of Research and Policy and work closely with the Research Lead and the Events and Engagement Manager to create and manage an engaging portfolio of online, assessment-themed events and resources.
This would be an ideal opportunity for anyone with proven expertise in and understanding of the links between evidence-informed teaching and assessment approaches and how they link to desired learning outcomes. You will:
- rapidly review evidence of assessment methods and pedagogies designed to cultivate knowledge, skills and dispositions of pupils, identifying gaps
- with support, produce evidence synthesis for a small number of key methods, not currently widely used by teachers
- manage a portfolio of online events aimed at developing teachers’ and school leaders’ levels of assessment literacy
- co-ordinate the work of the Next Generation Assessment group
- create online resources for the Chartered College member platform relating to evidence-informed teaching and assessment.
The postholder will also be required to collate policy announcements around assessment and monitor any developments relating to the use of EdTech and AI for assessment. The ultimate aim of this work is to help illustrate that the common ‘trad’ versus ‘prog’ debates that still dominate many discussions in education are ultimately unhelpful and teachers need a wide range of different teaching approaches to help support a range of intended learning outcomes. This would be an ideal opportunity for anyone with proven expertise in and understanding of the links between evidence-informed teaching and assessment approaches and how they link to desired learning outcomes.

- Postgraduate qualification in Education or a relevant field

Brent Mencap has been passionate about a healthier and fairer Brent since 1979. We’ve developed and run successful housing, employment, health, advice, wellbeing and self-advocacy services. During austerity and Covid we diversified, successfully taking on NHS work with people with long-term health conditions. We provide social prescribing support and health and wellbeing coaching to patients for Brent GPs. In 2024-5 we helped over 18000 people. We’re a leading partner on the Brent Health Educators Programme. Recently we’ve focused on developing and retaining a much larger staff group, using our data better and improving our marketing.
Brent Mencap offers fantastic free creative and wellbeing activities for people with a learning disability, autism and long-term health conditions. These have flourished since Covid. People love yoga, poetry, singing, gardening, Breathe and Move, self-advocacy, campaigning, awareness raising, CREATE art activities for young people, external trips and parties. Small grants, donations and our reserves fund this while we get longer term funding. Our self-advocates want us to focus on paid employment, youth services and making Brent Council use accessible information properly. People with a learning disability, neurodiversity and their family carers are inclusively supported by social prescribers for advice and by health educators/coaches for health-related matters if needed.

About the role
This is a great chance to be a part of a service working alongside the Healthcare & Education Department within HMP Bronzefield to identify and support women who are identified as being neurodiverse or presenting with symptoms of neurodiversity and will be returning to the community. The Neurodiversity Lead will focus support on women with a neurodivergent need and improve their transition into the community, with ongoing community support; including collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop their support plans.
The Lead will work in a multi-disciplinary way, including attending the weekly complex case meeting and/or the Safety Intervention Meeting (SIM) as appropriate, they will act as a specialist member of the wider Advance Criminal Justice Service - London team, to facilitate a pathway for women with complex needs including mental health and neurodiversity needs. The Neurodiversity Lead will accept referrals from the Advance Criminal Justice Community team and prison services, and will create a link between prison and the community, helping women to navigate support services and to positively re-integrate into their community upon release. They will co-design a person-centred support and action plan with women accessing support, enabling to support them to address their needs and any risks. The role will combine a casework- based approach, along with a signposting and advice service for the women.
The Neurodiversity Lead will be based in the community and will provide a drop-in service (1-2 day per week) in HMP Bronzefield to support women who are close to release.

About You
To be successful as the Neurodiversity Lead you will need the below experience and skills:
An excellent understanding of mental health, neurodiversity needs violence against women and girls and its links to women in the criminal justice system
You will have the ability to complete trauma informed, support and action plans in collaboration with the woman; to support in addressing their multiple and individual needs and enable them to engage with services, which will result in timely and prescribed outcomes being achieved.
You will possess excellent organisational skills, excellent communication skills and be able to work in a prison environment whilst remaining calm.

ABOUT THE POLITICS PROJECT
We support young people to use their voice by providing them with outstanding democratic education. We work with young people, teachers and politicians to help them to learn, teach and engage in politics. We are a non-partisan organisation working across the UK.
We also coordinate the Democracy Classroom network, a partnership between over 100 civil society organisations that supports young people to engage in elections.
The Politics Project delivers Digital Dialogue: Wales, which supports young people to have meaningful conversations with the politicians that represent them, building trust and relationships on both sides. These interactions take place both online and in-person, in classrooms across Wales.

Main Purpose of the Role
Khulisa, meaning 'nurture' in the Zulu language of South Africa, is an award-winning charity dedicated to providing therapeutic support to young people. We focus on reaching those who are most at risk – young people from deprived communities who are often marginalized, vulnerable to exclusion, and at heightened risk of becoming involved in crime. Our approach centres on safe, exploratory methods that aim to understand behaviour and experiences often rooted in trauma, abuse, and neglect. We deliver intensive therapeutic programs within educational and community settings, empowering young people to confront the underlying causes of their emotional distress and work toward healing. To create lasting, sustainable change, we work to establish trauma-informed environments around young people by equipping parents, caregivers, educators, and other professionals with the tools they need to offer effective, supportive care. Currently, our services are active in London and Manchester.
As the post holder you will be responsible for delivering our front-line work to young people, parents and other adults (professionals). You will work in schools and in community settings across London to generate impact for young people using Khulisa’s trauma-informed approach. This role requires an enhanced DBS check.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Programme Delivery:
· Facilitate the delivery of sessions in our flagship Face It programme and modular workshops to young people, our Nurturing Connections programme for parents and carers, and our trauma training for professionals.

The Corporate Partnerships Team harnesses the power of the private sector through strategic relationships that raise much needed funds for WaterAid’s life-changing work.
About the role
As our Corporate Partnerships Officer, you will provide critical support across all functions of the Corporate Partnerships Team and work closely with Corporate Partnership Team Managers to drive sustainable change.
In this role, you will:
- Lead on administrative support for the Corporate Partnerships Team
- Support the delivery of high-quality partnerships with corporate partners.
- Support the development of new partnerships with corporate partners.
- Support our private sector engagement work to strategically engage business.
- Champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion and safeguarding.
Requirements
To be successful, you will need:
- Experience in a charity fundraising, partnerships and/or customer service role.
- Endless drive, enthusiasm and ability to work under own initiative/independently to produce high quality results and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, presentation and face-to-face.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to provide excellent customer service and support to companies or individuals at all levels.
- Strong administrative and IT skills – including spreadsheets – and experience of using customer databases (training given).
Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:
- Experience and knowledge of corporate responsibility/sustainability
- Experience of working or volunteering in the voluntary sector

Croydon Drop In (CDI) are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic practitioner to work within our award-winning Voluntary Sector services. The post-holder will work within our safeguarding protocols to provide safe interventions for Neurodivergent children, young people and families using evidence-based methodologies. The post holder will safely work with people across different cultural backgrounds and ages and will be committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.
The post holder will use their skills to support children and young people who are referred in to or have self-referred in to the A for Autism Service. This service is a community based Pre and Post Autism Diagnostic Service. The successful candidate will receive Reflective Practice Supervision to support their professional development and ensure the safety of themselves and the people they work with, alongside Line Management Supervision.

Information about the Job Role
This full-time role will be best suited for applicants who are able to balance a busy work schedule being both office based and community based, working mainly with Primary and Secondary aged children and their families, and delivering workshops and one to one support in Croydon based Primary and Secondary Schools, and at CDI sites. Applicants must be willing to travel around Croydon as the service is community based. Occasional travel outside of Croydon may also arise to best meet the needs of those accessing the service. This role will have line management responsibility of one staff member within the service, and will include a lead focus in terms of service planning, design and delivery.

About the Role

To support our mission we are seeking enthusiastic, skilled and JNC qualified professionals to join us as Academy Tutors.
Our Academy Tutors will deliver inspiring training, develop and review resources and ensure all activities are in line with both NYA and external expectations of quality and expertise. The post will require a commitment to continuing engagement across the sector and beyond to ensure the NYA Academy’s work is rooted in the needs of young people and youth work.
The Academy Team are reflective expert trainers and facilitators. They can support the development of knowledge and skills; deliver innovative and engaging projects that benefit youth work and young people; and work with colleagues from the NYA and the wider field to ensure that youth work is promoted and protected, for the benefit of all young people.
The Academy Tutor will ensure the NYA is at the forefront of developing its products and services.
You will work alongside a committed, lively team working together to transform the lives of young people through the power of youth work.
Key responsibilities for this role will include:
- Developing and delivering training along with the development of programmes (including accredited training).
- Supporting learners and monitoring their progress through regular reviews and assessments.
- Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of resources and processes.
- Building positive relationships with learners to promote their engagement and to achieve successful outcomes.
- Ensure all learners have a supportive and positive learning experience
- The post holder should promote the NYA’s extensive offer and maintaining its reputation in the fields of expertise.
- Ensuring the voice of young people is heard loudly across the NYA and in all aspects of our work.
- Ensure the NYA follows best safeguarding best practice.
- Ensure all operational activity and youth work content is to the highest quality, representing the position of NYA as the National Body for Youth Work in England.
- Participating in team meetings, session planning and evaluation meetings.
- Compliance with all NYA policies and procedures.
- Compliance with all safeguarding policies and health and safety requirements.
- Undertaking any identified training in line with the role including safeguarding and undergoing a DBS check.
