The Katie Piper Foundation is seeking an experienced Finance and Business Manager to join our small, dedicated team in this newly created role, central to supporting our growth over the next three years.

You will lead all aspects of financial management, working closely with the CEO on budgeting, planning, and resource allocation. Responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day finances, producing management accounts, reporting to the Board, and ensuring strong financial controls and compliance.

In addition, you will help strengthen the charity’s wider operations, improving systems across IT, data, and reporting, as well as supporting risk management, policy development and measuring and communicating our impact.

This will be varied and evolvingrole suited to someone confident working across both strategic and operational areas, and comfortable driving organisational improvement.

We are a fully remote team. The role is home-based and part-time (28 hours a week, FTE 35 hours), and we are open to flexible working arrangements.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled line manager with experience in general welfare advice to join Sufra NW London. In this highly rewarding role, you will oversee the delivery of services that can measurably change lives by providing quality advice and support to those most in need. 

You will manage our team of advice staff and volunteers to deliver high quality advice, information and welfare support to guests on a range of topics including benefits, housing, debt and immigration issues. Key Responsibilities

Advice Services

• Manage the advice service by overseeing and supporting volunteers and advice staff at our Community Wellbeing Service and Foodbank including setting objectives, managing performance and providing feedback during supervisions.
• Hold a small case load of advice guests, supporting them to achieve their aims

Service Development

Budgets, Monitoring & Evaluation

• Support the Senior Leadership Team in setting service budgets, updating policies, and monitoring spending in line with reporting and budgetary requirements.

• Provide regular and timely monitoring reports on service outputs, outcomes and expenditure.
• Collect regular feedback and conduct surveys from relevant stakeholders to inform ongoing improvements to the Advice Service.

Job Overview

The Events & Corporate Partnerships Manager will take ownership of a portfolio of major fundraising events, from planning and budgeting through to delivery and follow-up. • Events Lead: Take full ownership of the SOHK organised major events in England, Scotland and Wales.
• Develop and deliver an annual events strategy & Calendar that is aligned with FRT targets
• Set and manage event budgets, income targets and KPIs
• Ensure exceptional supporter experience at all touch points.
• Source high value auction and raffle prizes
• Work closely with FRT to sell tables & tickets at events.
• Ensure prize donors, table buyers and supporters have a great experience of SOHK – feeling thanked and appreciated.

Corporate Partnerships (working with Head of Fundraising)

• Build a pipeline of potential corporate partners and continually seek to add to pipeline as needed
• Research and make high quality approaches
• Confidently write winning pitches and present at meetings

• Stewardship: Act as the main point of contact for partnerships that are allocated to you; nurturing and strengthening the relationships

Reporting, Monitoring & Budgeting

Skills & Experience

You’ll be expected to have a good understanding of seafaring training and certification requirements and have experience of working in the not-for-profit sector. A background working in the maritime sector is helpful but not essential.

We are currently looking for a Bursary and Welfare Manager to join our team.

About the role

This new role is to manage the bursary and welfare services of Marine Society. This requires an in depth understanding of seafarer’s needs and the training and certification they require to progress in their careers, both at sea and ashore. The manager will also oversee wider aspects of careers information and guidance and assisting with fundraising activity

Responsibilities

· Assess and process all bursary applications, including Slater Scholarships, Worcester, Hanway and Green Skills bursaries against clearly defined eligibility criteria

· Authorise the award of financial bursaries and approve beneficiary claims and expenses

· Maximise the use bursary funding and ensure successful outcomes for beneficiaries

· Identify new bursary funding opportunities and devise bids in collaboration with the fundraising team

· Manage the bursary and Coming Ashore programme restricted funds. Monitor and report on expenditure and activity

· Manage the operation of the Coming Ashore mentoring programme and ensure its sustainability

· Produce statistical reports and analysis pertaining to bursaries and welfare services for internal and external stakeholders.

· Put in place and maintain online and physical resources that provide seafarers with information, advice and guidance and supports maritime career development.

· To lead the annual Matrix accreditation process

· Work with the Digital Marketing Coordinator to ensure the effective marketing of bursary and welfare provision through a range of media and ensure the website remains up to date and relevant to seafarer needs.

· Represent Marine Society on external committees and forums that relate to welfare, including Merchant Navy Welfare Board and Nautilus Slater Management Committee

Requirements

• Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualifications/experience
• In depth knowledge and understanding of the training needs of UK and international seafarers including their welfare and certification routes within the maritime sector both at sea and ashore
• Experience of working as team leader or manager in the not-for-profit sector
• Experience of preparing and presenting reports to management team and funders as required
• Ability to use social media and press effectively to inform and promote seafarer welfare and professional development.

We’re looking for a dog loving fundraiser to be our expert in the growing and exciting realm of prize led fundraising, tapping into new audiences who are looking to contribute to our mission through lotteries, raffles and other prize led value exchange opportunities.

What does this role do?
As Prize Led Programme Manager, you will:

• be responsible for the smooth running of the programme, working closely with external agencies to deliver of lotteries and raffles,
• develop and grow the programme, bringing new ideas from conceptualisation to launch, ensuring we continue to innovate and grow our income through prize led activity.
• work closely with external and internal stakeholders to ensure all programmes are effective and compliant with Gambling Commission regulations,
• coach and manage the Prize Led Campaign Manager, supporting them to deliver high quality work. 

Interviews for this role are provisionally scheduled for week commencing 18th May 2026 and will take place on Teams.

Could this be you?
To be successful in this role, you’ll need experience in prize led fundraising, specifically either lotteries or raffles, and confidence navigating Gambling Commission regulation in this area. We’re looking for someone who can expand and grow our programme, so our ideal candidate will be creative and curious, always looking for innovative ways to diversify these income streams through a supporter led approach. You’ll enjoy working with various teams across the charity and externally, being approachable and working together with other teams to deliver excellent programmes to raise as much money as possible for the dogs in our care, and the best experience for our supporters.

In this role you will lead on paid social media activity across Meta and other channels managing

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Media manager to make a real and lasting impact — helping Sue Ryder reach more people at the moments that matter most.

About the role:

• Support the Senior Social Media Officer to develop and maintain our national local and retail social media channels by planning and creating high-quality and engaging content.
• Manage the daily moderation rota across the team, participating in tasks and sharing opportunities for engagement.
• Lead paid social activity across income-generation, guiding the Senior Social Media Officer with their projects and acting as key contact for others.
• Develop and implement a retail social media strategy, with support from the Senior Digital Manager, to enable teams to promote their activities and enhance our national channels Manage our ongoing reporting across organic and paid social media to help us continually evaluate our strategy, ensuring our channels are regularly optimised and using data and insight to inform decisions.
• Deputise for the Senior Social Media Manager in relevant meetings and represent the social media team in agreed project groups.

Essential:

• Demonstrable experience and understanding of developing a social media communications strategy and delivery plans, including securing buy-in from colleagues across the organisation
• Strong line management skills and the ability to influence colleagues from other directorates
• Intermediate level skills in Canva, Photoshop and Premiere Pro (or other image and video editing software)
• Confident using Meta Business Suite, listening tools (preferably Sprout Social) and all social media platforms
• Experience working with PR and Brand & Marketing teams across integrated campaigns
• Demonstrable experience in managing and reporting on a large and busy portfolio of social media accounts across multiple platforms, including excellent knowledge of GA4, Looker Studio and native platform analytical tools
