THE ROLE

This role offers a unique and rewarding opportunity to lead National Energy Action’s efforts to improve the lives of those experiencing fuel poverty, with a focus on enhancing building fabric and energy systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing the organisation’s expertise and credibility in this area and will be a passionate advocate for energy efficiency as a vital solution to fuel poverty.

As our new Director of Homes, you will lead our engagement with governments, industry partners, consumer protection bodies, and research organisations to highlight the needs, opportunities, and challenges faced by fuel-poor households.

You will be a member of National Energy Action’s Senior Management Team, helping to shape the strategic direction of the charity. You will lead and support a dedicated team, managing innovative projects designed to deliver meaningful impact.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will oversee the development and delivery of high-profile demonstration projects and ensure that insights and evidence from this work are widely shared. You will also lead our influencing efforts, working with key stakeholders and policymakers to drive lasting change.

As part of our Senior Leadership Team, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across the organisation to help guide National Energy Action into the future.

You will need to be an excellent communicator, able to represent National Energy Action with credibility and authority in high-level discussions and public forums.

Strategic, collaborative, and highly motivated, you will play a central role in shaping the charity’s future direction and ensuring we remain a trusted voice in the national conversation on energy and fuel poverty.

As we embark on an exciting 5-year strategy we are looking to recruit an experienced Individual Giving Manager to focus on the delivery of repeat giving. Developing our weekly lottery, raffles and regular giving products and the sustainable income they provide.

This will be a crucial role within the team and playing the lead role in promoting these forms of giving to a wide external audience. Ensuring that we increase our reach across all areas of our communities through all forms of communications and engagement. About the role

Funded by the Department for Education, the National Peer Support Service for England is a game-changing service that creates a sustainable and life-changing legacy. It builds on Kinship’s 10 years of experience in developing peer support groups and over two years of delivering a national service that has set up 145 new groups.

This role is community-based and focuses on engaging kinship carers, bringing them together to form peer support groups, and supporting them to achieve independence at which point they will receive ongoing support from our national Hub.

You will do this by working with local authorities, schools, other charities and community groups. Arranging information events such as coffee mornings to engage kinship carers. You’ll create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive community for kinship carers, building belonging, resilience, and empowerment.

About you

We are seeking a dynamic person located in or close to Greater Manchester, and willing to travel into priority areas across the North West of England who possesses the drive, passion, and skills to: 

• Establish new peer support groups across a diverse range of communities 
• Supervise a small team of Peer Support Development Officers 
• Demonstrate the energy and enthusiasm required to inspire yourself and your team to achieve key targets and objectives 
• Work collaboratively within the Peer Support and Community Team, as well as throughout the broader organisation, to ensure the delivery of safe and effective support services for the kinship community
• Support the sustainability of existing Peer Support Groups, taking the lead from the Hub (our network support Team)
• Keep precise records to create reports, extract learning, and share key insights throughout Kinship, enabling the organisation to enhance our services and products continuously

In the role of Senior Peer Support Development Officer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, consistent, and sustainable peer support service that has a significant impact on the lives of kinship carers. 

You should have experience in developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with various community-based stakeholders such as local authorities, health services, schools, charities, and kinship carers. You will need to understand the key success factors involved in establishing and developing new in-person groups in areas of high need, as well as how to support existing groups in their journey toward sustainability.

An essential requirement of the role is to be a driver with access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Essential requirements include:

• Experience of team leadership or line management and supervision of a small team and managing performance to deliver targets effectively.
• Proven experience in reaching and establishing strong relationships with hidden or underserved communities in person.
• Experience developing peer support communities.
• Proven experience of recruiting, managing, training and supporting volunteers in community settings with an emphasis on understanding and working with vulnerable volunteers.  
• Proven experience of ensuring outcomes and impacts of services is evidenced through high-quality data collection.  
• Evidence of delivering training/support to volunteers, 
• Strong facilitation skills and essential experience of peer support or user led groups with charity beneficiaries.  
• Understanding of safeguarding particularly around vulnerable families.

As our Research Manager - Partnerships, you'll play a pivotal role in building and nurturing strategic partnerships to advance palliative and end of life care research in the UK. You will lead the setup of a new Palliative and End of Life Care Research Funders Forum, coordinate stakeholder engagement activities, and support impact planning across a select portfolio of research grants. Main responsibilities:
- Establish and manage a new Research Funders Forum for palliative and end of life care, engaging with the Government and charitable funding bodies.
- Plan and organise workshops and other activities following the identification of the top 10 research priorities in the collaborative Palliative and end of life care Priority Setting Partnership with the James Lind Alliance.
- Identify new opportunities for strategic research partnerships by reviewing databases and networks.

- Manage partnership agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs).
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders including research funders, academic collaborators, and sector bodies.

Key Criteria:
- Background in research (delivery or support) and solid knowledge of the UK research funding environment.
- Educated to at least degree level in a health or research-related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple complex projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Confidence working across stakeholders to build and maintain engagement.
- Understanding of research impact and experience organising external-facing events or workshops.
- Research presentation experience and knowledge of qualitative/quantitative methods.
- Familiarity with the charity sector or palliative care landscape will be an asset.

Since joining ClientEarth as a Philanthropy Officer, Sebastien has progressed to the Philanthropy Manager position where he supports and oversees two members of the Philanthropy Team. Main Duties

• Actively manage donor relationships across assigned portfolio of largely UK supporters with first class stewardship and reporting to secure renewals and uplifts of approximately £1m per annum.

SANE is a UK-wide mental health charity working to improve the quality of life of anyone affected by mental illness. About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated Wellbeing and Training Officer to support the wellbeing and development of our SANEline volunteers. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our volunteers feel valued and supported to provide a high standard of emotional support to our callers.

Working closely with the Training and Volunteer Manager, you will help ensure that all volunteers receive timely, appropriate and emphatic support. You will also play role in delivering welfare support, planning and delivering training sessions and promoting volunteer engagement and retention.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide valuable, hands-on experience in delivering wellbeing support and training for volunteers who provide emotional support to vulnerable callers.

Salary: £27,000 -29,000 pro rata, depending on experience

About you:

- You must have proven experience of providing emotional support, counselling or therapy to adults.

- You must have proven experience of designing and delivering training in a professional setting.

- You are a warm and confident communicator with the ability to build trust and rapport with people from diverse backgrounds.

- You are a confident group facilitator, comfortable with delivering training to diverse groups and communicating complex topics with clarity.

Reporting to the Project Lead, the Account Management Officer will manage relationships with STEM Learning’s valued funders while working to ambitious targets, ensuring they have an exceptional experience.

This role will be mostly home-based, with an office day every week at either London (City) or York University (walking distance from York city centre). Travel for meetings will be expensed. The National STEM Learning Centre based at York University is a unique and impressive teacher CPD venue, mirroring the modern classroom and laboratory facilities, as well as housing their inspirational resources centre. 

Key responsibilities for the Account Management Officer role include:

• Stewardship of Funders: Manage and streamline communications with STEM Learning’s growing group of funders.
• Creative Engagement: Develop innovative ways to engage with funders, including strategic partnerships, commercial activities, and employee engagement through the STEM Ambassadors programme.
• Effective Communication: Correspond with funders using creative and engaging methods.
• Creating “Wow” Moments: Build personal connections between funders and STEM Learning’s mission.
• Collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders to ensure effective partnership delivery.
• Impact Evidence: Leverage STEM Learning’s impact evidence and collaborate with the Evaluation Team.
• Growth and Renewals: Ensure the growth and renewal of existing partnerships.
• New Partnerships: Work with the Fundraising Development team on pitches and ensure a smooth handover of new wins.

Ideal skills and experience:

• Track record in building and sustaining exceptional relationships with supporters and funders
• Strong organisational skills, enthusiasm and tenacity
• Excellent communication skills and collaboration are a must
• Specialist knowledge of the trends and developments in the sector completed through relevant training is desirable. In the role, you will need to stay up to date on relevant press and industry news.

The geographical region will cover anything west of Bridgend and up to Aberystwyth. Ideally, candidates would be based in the Carmarthen/Llanelli area. This is a home-based role, with frequent travel throughout Wales, and monthly travel to Cardiff.

Scope of role

This recently created role within the Noah’s Ark Charity, which will grow our regional community fundraising presence and offering.  The postholder will know the West Wales area well and will become the expert in fundraising opportunities within the region, building strong relationships within the community, including companies and will develop supporter-led activity. The postholder will plan for and deliver income for the charity within the region, in line with wider fundraising strategy. 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Income generation

- To plan for and deliver income to target through key performance indicators as agreed with community fundraising manager.

- To develop new supporter relationships within the community, in a planned way, to achieve income and provide excellent supporter care to ensure the relationship is ongoing, beyond one-off support for the charity.

- To lead on and deliver community fundraising within the region, through relationships with patient families, third party fundraisers, community groups, schools and education establishments and public bodies.

- To build strong corporate partnerships within the region, to an agreed income level, with the support of the community fundraising manager and head of fundraising and development.

- To lead on key projects to develop income generation.

- To contribute to the strategic development of community fundraising.

- Plan and deliver events in the community where necessary.

- Secure and deliver engaging presentations to groups and organisations.

2. Ambassador programme

- To build the family ambassador programme within the region, growing the network of key supporters who will represent and be the face of the charity within their local community.

- Support the community fundraising manager with the development of the ambassador programme including training and thanking opportunities.

3. Supporter experience

- To champion consistent and excellent supporter care.

- To record all communications accurately on the database, ensuring information is gathered and recorded in accordance with the requirements of the data protection act, GDPR and the charity’s data protection policy.

- To respond to supporter enquiries in a timely manner and deal with complaints, escalating as appropriate.

- To deliver an excellent supporter journey and contribute to the central supporter journey for community fundraising. 

4. Cross team working

- To work collaboratively with fundraising colleagues across the team to deliver wider fundraising income and charity objectives.  For example, gifts in wills, regular giving, event participation, volunteering and communications.

5. Budgets

- Work with the community fundraising manager and head of fundraising and development, to build and manage a detailed fundraising budget, including income and expenditure.

- Provide forecasts throughout the year, for agreed streams of income.

6. Best practice

- Ensure all fundraising practice is in line with organisational guidelines and policies.

- Encourage and champion compliance and best practice within the fundraising team.

- Ensure own compliance with fundraising standards and requirements, keeping up to date with key policies and regulations, including the fundraising regulator, chartered institute of fundraising and the charity commission.

7. Undertake any other duties which might be required to fulfil the general purpose of the post.

In this role, you will ensure the smooth and effective running of our Board of Trustees and its supporting committees. Working closely with senior leaders and Board members, you will be responsible for coordinating meetings, preparing high-quality documentation, and supporting compliance with governance and regulatory standards.

You will play an essential part in delivering a professional and efficient meeting management service. This includes planning and scheduling meetings, drafting agendas and papers, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that best practice principles are upheld across all committee processes.

You may already have experience in committee administration, or you may bring a strong background in general administration or an educational interest in governance and a willingness to learn.

As Learning Design and Assessment Manager you will play a key role in developing curriculum and content for our online courses, drawing on your experience and knowledge of teaching and learning to provide a coherent learning experience, ensuring that all content is of a very high quality and informed by the latest research and evidence. You will also support our accreditation function, designing assessments and supporting internal assessment and moderation processes.

• develop the curriculum and write and commission course content and materials for teachers and school leaders

• design and develop assessments to support teacher certification and accreditation
