The Role
This is a new role which will be focused on a specific project to initially set up and support our member led Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) task group and subgroups. These task groups, with your support, will lead the direction that our EDI membership initiatives take. One of the primary core initiatives will be the delivery of a mentoring scheme for our members with an inclusivity focus.
To be shortlisted for this post, you must have:
• Excellent Project Management skills and experience
• Demonstratable knowledge of the EDI space, leading practises and ideologies
• Previous experience of working with members/volunteers including in an advisory and secretariat capacity.
• An understanding of and preferably experience of managing mentoring schemes.
Experience of working in a membership organisation or knowledge of the engineering profession would be advantageous.

We are looking for an Interim External Affairs Manager to help lead our communications activities from 24 June 2024 to 31 December, while our permanent External Affairs Manager is on sabbatical. Summary
Innovation plays a key role in our drive to increase our Fundraising income and further our strategy to create a world where diabetes can do no harm. Across 12 months you will be working to embed our innovation strategy; driving forward new product development, showcasing a fresh approach to innovation, and supporting colleagues to embrace innovation. You will be responsible for consulting with Fundraising Teams to identify new opportunities to generate income and provide supporters with an amazing experience. You will lead on bringing new ideas to life by managing the end-to-end innovation process. Ideal Candidate
Working with Teams from across Fundraising, you'll need to be experienced at engaging and influencing colleagues at all levels. You will be naturally curious, motivated to get under the skin of the charity sector and really understand what makes our supporters tick. While experience working in a dedicated innovation role isn't necessary, experience using tools to uncover insight, facilitate workshops, generate ideas, test propositions, and deliver compelling business cases is essential. Katherine Low Settlement has worked with older people since its conception in 1924.They are a core part of the community that we continue to work with. We provide, often in partnership, a range of projects and activities for older people including health and wellbeing; creative arts; intergenerational work; connecting people and trips/outings. Our services include an Older People's Lunch Club, Contact Club, T’ai Chi for Elders, exercise and social sessions, and support online.

Key Objectives for the Elders Core Service Manager Role:
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of dedicated part-time paid staff and volunteers, including a cook, support worker, minibus driver, and sessional workers.
- Day-to-Day Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Elders Core Service, including the lunch club, transport, social sessions, and overseeing the one-to-one work of the core team.
