MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity tools and controls (e.g., 
endpoint protection, firewalls, secure email gateways, MFA, etc.).
• Monitor security alerts and reports from tools like Microsoft Defender, Bitdefender, 
WatchGuard, and Cloudflare, escalating potential incidents to the Cybersecurity 
Manager.
• Support user access management and ensure policies for identity and access control 
are followed using systems like SSO and Intune.
• Help manage and track security awareness initiatives (e.g., phishing simulations via 
SoSafe).
• Assist in vulnerability scanning and basic risk assessments across networks and 
systems.
• Contribute to incident response efforts under the guidance of the Cybersecurity 
Manager.
• Document findings, maintain logs, and support audit and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with IT and wider organisation to ensure security controls do not hinder 
mission delivery.
• Participate in routine system checks and contribute to the improvement of

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

Experience & Certifications/Qualifications:
• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Up to 2 years of experience in an IT or cybersecurity role (internships or volunteer roles considered).
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and technologies, including antivirus, firewalls, 
intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 security stack, including Defender and Intune.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Preferred Skills and Competencies:
• Hands-on experience with any of the following: Ubiquiti, SharePoint, Egress, or Cloudflare.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC-900, or equivalent.

The Job

Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager, the Supporter Care Officer role sits within the Communications, Engagement and Fundraising team. USPG is looking for someone with excellent communication skills and enthusiasm to join our small but growing fundraising team.  The post holder will be the first port of call for all incoming communications and will work closely with the Individual Giving Manager to ensure that our supporters feel valued. The role is also responsible for maintaining the data and developing supporter care processes.

Job Purpose

The finance team is a core part of our Operations Directorate, and although we’re a small team we have a huge impact on the effectiveness of our organisation. The team provides support and guidance to all staff members on how to process invoices, expenses, and generally manage their budgets effectively. The main purpose of the Finance Officer role is to provide key support to the finance team with our finance processes, supporting staff members across the organisation, helping with any queries on a day-to-day basis, as well as supporting our members and suppliers with queries. The Finance Officer ensures all financial transactions are processed in accordance with BSR’s procedures and processes and in line with data protection regulations. 

You don’t need to have worked in the charity sector previously. Continual professional development is vital for us as a team, and so we’re happy to support you if you’re interested in completing a professional finance qualification.

Main Responsibilities

Purchase Ledger 

• Receive all supplier invoices (including member expenses), checking correct finance codes with relevant nominal, department, project, VAT and fund codes are on all invoices, and that the necessary authorisation is present 
• Scan and file all finance related documents (e.g. bank statements)  
• Set up fortnightly supplier payment runs for review by the Finance Manager 

 Sales Ledger 

• Work with budget holders and project leads to produce sales invoices  
• Liaise with budget holders to ensure correct coding of all invoices (nominal, department, project, VAT, and fund codes) 
• Credit Control – dealing with customer queries and chasing for payments fortnightly 

Other Finance Responsibilities 

• Manage monthly credit card process including posting in Dext and reconciliation in Xero  
• Assist the Finance Manager with preparing for year end and audit fieldwork 
• Reconcile purchase ledger payments with the bank transactions 
• Run new starter finance inductions for budget holders and set up new staff on finance systems 
• Maintain process documents for all finance systems 
• Suggest and support relevant finance system and process improvements where identified 
• Be the first point of contact for finance systems and internal system integrations 

Payroll 

• Ensure new starters are processed by HR 
• Process leavers  
• Exported payroll reports and ensuring that they are filed in the correct place

The role

We are seeking an Outreach Officer to be a valued member of parkrun’s Global Health and Wellbeing Team. 

The focus of parkrun UK’s Health and Wellbeing Team is to improve inclusivity, increase the diversity in participation and maximise the health and wellbeing impact of parkrun across the UK. 

Together with the junior parkrun Impact & Engagement Manager, the Outreach Officer will devise, implement and support the evaluation of Health and Wellbeing projects and campaigns across the North West. Clinical Services Senior Officer
£34,300 - £37,300 per year

 What the job involves
We’re looking for a Clinical Services Senior Officer to join our Clinical Services Team on a fixed term role covering maternity leave.

Our Clinical Services team provide direct information and support to anyone affected by prostate cancer or prostate problems. This includes our Specialist Nurse team, who run a service available over telephone, email, WhatsApp and Live Chat. We also have a Risk Information Service providing information to undiagnosed men concerned about their risk of prostate cancer.

As a Clinical Services Senior Officer, you’ll play an integral role in running these services, making sure everything’s efficient and accessible to the people who need us. We receive around 15,000 contacts every year, and you’ll help make sure they get the best possible experience.

Managing the day-to-day delivery of the service means organising rotas, planning resources and making sure everything runs smoothly. You’ll line manage our Risk Information Officer and support the growth of our Risk Information Service too.

You’ll also take responsibility for reporting and analysing service data, identifying trends and working with the Head of Support Services to shape improvements. Clinical governance will be a key part of the role, making sure our services remain safe, high quality and in line with the right policies. You’ll also keep our clinical policies and processes up to date, manage GDPR compliance, and act as a key contact for the team, both within the charity and with external partners.

Alongside this, you’ll help promote our services by contributing to promotional plans, social media activity and website updates, making sure more people know we’re here to support them.

It’s a varied and rewarding role where you’ll be helping to shape and improve the support we offer every day.

What we want from you
Good communication is at the heart of this role. You’ll be comfortable using a range of channels and able to build positive working relationships with a variety of people, from healthcare professionals to external partners. A flexible, collaborative approach and a commitment to delivering excellent service are important too.

You’ll bring experience of managing complex work, keeping on top of data, and turning information into clear, useful reports and recommendations. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities will be key.

You’ll be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal skills and a positive, solutions-focused attitude. You’ll be able to support and guide colleagues, helping them deliver their best work. Experience using and maintaining databases is important, along with a good understanding of data protection. It would also be helpful if you’re familiar with project management tools and ways of working.

Knowledge of prostate cancer care and support, and an understanding of the nursing profession, would be beneficial for this role.

The role of the Standards and Regulation function is to monitor newspaper, magazine and digital publishers’ compliance with the Editors’ Code of Practice and to take action to address concerns about editorial standards, including by undertaking investigations into serious standards failures as necessary. It’s a busy team that coordinates closely with others at IPSO and outside the organisation, engaging with members of the public, journalists, and experts on a wide variety of subjects. Some recent issues that the standards team has worked on are reporting of sexual offences, suicide, major incidents, and domestic abuse.

As the Standards Policy Officer, you will carry out a range of tasks, including analysing information drawn from complaints received by IPSO, supporting the annual statements process and engaging with a range of representative groups who have concerns about press reporting. You will work closely with the Head of Standards and other colleagues across IPSO.

This is a role for someone who is interested in news and journalism, has excellent communication and analytical skills, and enjoys working with others to achieve a shared purpose. Candidates who demonstrate relevant experience will be given an opportunity to demonstrate their skills through a written exercise prior to short-listing for interview. This means that we can measure candidates’ relevant skills directly and make a fairer decision on which applications to take forward.

Glasspool Charity Trust

Chief Executive Salary £75,000 + benefits

Glasspool is a UK-wide grant funder, established in 1939 with a permanent endowment from Richard Louveteau Glasspool, a Hertfordshire businessman and philanthropist. He experienced financial hardship as a young man, but when his income became more than enough to meet his personal needs, he started to provide financial support to individuals. He died in 1949, aged 65, but his legacy lives on in the Glasspool Charity Trust.

The charity was named the Association of Charitable Organisations (ACO) Charity of the Year in 2024 in recognition of our courageous and transformative approach to grant-making.
