About the role
As the PR and Communications Officer, you will support the Senior PR and Communications Officer to raise awareness of the Charity by identifying and promoting compelling stories to regional and national media. Working closely with colleagues across PR and Communications, clinical teams, Fundraising, Marketing and Digital, you will help to showcase the Charity’s impact on people affected by cancer in the UK and around the world, while supporting fundraising activity across all income streams.
With support you will use your communications skills and expertise, to write content for relevant in‑house magazine titles andhelp promote community fundraising and major donor events, corporate partnerships, and fundraising campaigns.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting a comprehensive media service which includes the proactive sell in of positive stories.
- Building relationships with clinical colleagues and in particular, Charity-funded consultants, nurses, researchers, and allied health professionals to gain their support for Charity communications including press releases, tailored pitches, other print media channels and the Charity's magazine.
- With support, write and edit the Charity’s supporter magazine, Progress, in collaboration with the Charity’s leadership team and fundraising colleagues.
- Working with fundraising teams to identify unique and inspiring stories associated with the Charity’s annual calendar of events and campaigns.
About you
You’ll be an exceptional team player with:
- Relevant media relations and/or communications experience
- Proven track record of delivering compelling copy, in the right tone and to deadline.
- Strong interpersonal skills - the ability to build effective and productive relationships with colleagues and case studies.

What We Offer

The Sentencing Academy is currently a remote organisation although attendance at regular meetings in London will be essential. The salary for this post is £70,000 pro rata.

The Pop-up Shop Lead will manage all aspects of the Derry Castle Street Pop Up Shop, including leading and supporting volunteers, maximising income generation and ensuring an excellent customer and donor experience.

Headway UK developed the Approved Provider Scheme in 2011, which is a voluntary standards-based accreditation, for rehabilitation and residential units for people with a brain injury and we are looking for a new part time team member.
- Location: East or Midlands based, either home based or in Headway UK’s office in Nottingham.

Headway UK developed the Approved Provider Scheme in 2011, which is a voluntary standards-based accreditation, for rehabilitation and residential units for people with a brain injury and we are looking for a new part time team member.
By participating in the scheme Approved Provider units affirm their dedication to excellent care, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. The accreditation of units is then published for families, individuals and professionals to help inform their choices when identifying suitable provision for brain injury survivors. Our accreditation process is designed to be collaborative and supportive, guiding units through every step towards achieving and maintaining exemplary service standards.
The role will involve, conducting and writing assessments and working with the Approved Provider and Training Manager to manage Lead Assessors, who are based around the UK and the Service User Perspective Assessors, who are either brain injury survivors, or family members/ carers.

What you will do:
- Conduct Approved Provider assessments, which includes going into brain injury residential units and assessing the services they provide and making recommendations, to improve practice against the framework.
- Writing and reviewing reports for Approved Provider units, following assessments, that clearly highlight strengths and areas for development.
- Contributing to the development and growth of Headway UK’s Approved Provider scheme, by continuing to drive forward standards and onboarding new units.
- Working with freelance Lead Assessors and Service User Perspective Assessors (who are brain injury survivors or family members) who are based around the UK, to organise assessments and ensure the schemes standards are upheld.
About you

- Prior experience of working in the field of acquired brain injury.

- Very good IT skills, including be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams).

Terms and Conditions

Dataro are looking for a Customer Success Manager to help grow their presence across the UK charity sector. This is a role focussed on providing excellent client satisfaction to the post holders UK and Europe based charity and not for profit portfolio. You will spend your time meeting clients, following up on queries and IT tickets, and supporting them in a consultative way to get the best impact from Dataro. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, spotting opportunities to deliver great customer service and maintaining great channels of communications.
Dataro is a growing company that has retained a start up midset and ethos, so colleagues work with high levels of agency, are solutions focussed and happy delivering at pace.
You’ll work closely with other Customer Success Managers in the UK, as well as colleagues across the USA and Australia. To be considered for this role it is vital the candidate experience of customer service and relationship management within a charity setting, who understands fundraising and what tools such as Dataro can do to help support income generation. Candidates don’t need to know Dataro’s product inside out, training will be provided, but an understanding of charity CRMs would be useful.

Location - Please note: this role is a remote based role but has been listed as hybrid due to the expectation of in person meetings and regular travel into London (expenses not paid). The team meet up at WeWork spaces reguarly and this post holder would aim to hold a minimum of 6 in person client meetings per quarter, all usually in London.
