Our Community Fundraising Team are a nationwide team, supporting individuals and groups across the UK to raise vital funds for people living with and affected by diabetes.

This role will be shared with another Community Fundraiser covering the Eastern Region.

We’re looking for someone who can inspire and collaborate, building strong, positive relationship. As one of our regionally dispersed Community Fundraiser’s, you’ll be joining a busy team, where you will manage relationships with our key supporters with the primary purpose of generating income across a geographical area, through community fundraising activities. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering income targets across the region by building strong relationships with individuals, local companies, community groups and volunteers, in line with our community fundraising strategy. You will also be responsible for the management and support of local third-party events in your region and in providing excellent stewardship to those supporters.

This role is home-based with regular travel across the region. There will also be regular travel to Diabetes UK offices for meetings. 

This role will only be suited to candidates living within the Eastern Region (Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, and Suffolk).

You’ll be able to demonstrate a track record of meeting income targets through relationship fundraising. You’ll be experienced in building and maintaining relationships with supporters and colleagues. A proactive person, you’ll be self-motivated and able to work independently with a solution focused approach. As an experienced fundraiser, you’ll be confident working towards income and expenditure targets and reporting on financial progress. It is desirable that you have managed and secured corporate partnerships and have event management knowledge, though training will be provided.

You will have a passion for building excellent relationships with your supporters to increase loyalty and life-long relationships with the charity.

Job Description

The Healthcare Partnerships Lead will be responsible for the delivery of our Healthcare Engagement Strategy, through the development and delivery of projects and activities which embrace collaboration, raise the profile and credibility of both the Overcoming MS charity and Program, and extend supported self- management of MS within the health and social sector. We want to be the go-to charity for lifestyle and living well with MS and to demonstrate the added value we bring through education, resources, community and partnership working.

The past 12 months have seen the laying of a strong foundation for both increasing credibility and collaboration. This has included identifying barriers to supporting self-management in MS, developing education, piloting projects and resources to overcome some of those barriers in partnership with healthcare professionals. Honing datasets and presenting these meaningfully, has added credibility and demonstrated value. We want to see that foundation built on further, and shared more widely, taken forward by the new Healthcare Partnerships Lead.

Key Responsibilities

· The successful delivery of the Healthcare Engagement Strategy, identifying and prioritising engagement with our key audiences and stakeholders.

· Working closely with both our Medical Advisor, Information and Research Manager (new role) and with the existing HCP Advisory Group and wider engaged healthcare partners, to facilitate the development of the relationship, profile and reach between the charity and the health and social care sectors. Around information sharing, service design, and understanding of the role of lifestyle in holistic management of MS.

· Identifying and attending key healthcare events and conferences, building networks, partnerships and other resources to increase knowledge and awareness of how the charity and Overcoming MS Program, benefits people with MS and maximise opportunities for signposting.

· Building frameworks for data gathering and evaluation to effectively review benefit of collaborative interventions and report outcomes widely and meaningfully, in partnership with the Information and Research Manager.

· Maintaining understanding of policy and priorities of healthcare agencies to ensure mutual or aligned priorities from both, in addition to people living with MS, are all factors taken into consideration when developing plans and pathways.

· Identifying opportunities for collaboration and partnership working through engagement with HCP professionals and organisations.

· Lead on healthcare education through our existing partnership with the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine, marketing the education widely, evaluating its benefit to HCPs and strategically reviewing the format, vehicle and content as appropriate.

· Providing clear, responsive and consistent educational content around the importance of lifestyle choices and behaviours to healthcare professionals based on the current evidence-base and the Overcoming MS Program, working closely with the Information & Research Manager to ensure up-to-date and validated content.

 Other Responsibilities

· Creating meaningful engagement with the MS community and healthcare professional partners, widening our reach to support more people with MS.

· Mapping local assets and services to target and test appropriate resources and support to MS clinics, to help HCPs share information and support their patients to self-manage, tracking success.

· Empowering people affected by MS and their healthcare professionals to discuss lifestyle modification and the Overcoming MS Program with confidence, improving self-management and health outcomes.

· Engaging new HCP audiences, reducing barriers and perceptions of lifestyle modification in the treatment of MS. 

· Leading on the delivery, monitoring and evaluation of key programmes, considering key insight, collecting and analysing data to measure impact against project and charity targets.

· Supporting the delivery of key products, services and events both in person and online that reach multiple audiences and budgeting accordingly.

· Identifying opportunities for accessing funding streams, working with Fundraising colleagues to diversify our income base.

· Raising our profile within the healthcare environment so that they recommend the charity and will advocate on our behalf.

· As we are a small, busy charity, all staff help with the general running of the organisation in addition to their specific role activities.

About you
Education or experience in a related field e.g. healthcare management, public health, you’ll have a strong understanding of the NHS, Public Health and the UK health care policy landscape. Knowledge of the global health care landscape would be an advantage but not essential.

You’ll have previous experience as a senior healthcare lead or similar role for example within the NHS or similar medical field or will have experience leading community or public health related engagement programmes.

With excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills, including working with stakeholders at very senior and professional levels, you’ll have strategic analytical skills, able to frame problems and solutions in a logical fashion and demonstrate a high degree of empathy and compassion for health-related issues.

You’ll have intellectual flexibility, able to embrace and deal with ambiguity, complexity and to be open to creativity in leading and bringing about effective change.

You are comfortable working remotely and attending events during evenings and weekends, with a full UK driving licence and access to a car.

About the role

In order to reach and support more kinship carers with these programmes and our other services, we have developed a new Marketing Team to develop and deliver integrated, strategic and creative marketing and engagement campaigns and strategies.  This team is now established with clear plans to engage kinship carer audiences, rooted in insights.

You’ll be comfortable getting very involved in the operational delivery of our marketing and engagement plans, supporting your team and demonstrating an insight and audience-led approach to both digital and offline marketing, thriving in an environment where you’ll be responsible for overseeing the progress of various strands of marketing activity.

Key responsibilities include:

• Using data and market insights, develop and oversee the implementation of high-quality, integrated and strategic marketing and engagement strategies to support Kinship’s awareness, understanding, interest, income generation, engagement and growth amongst key audiences, with a particular focus on marketing our programmes and services.

• Develop an expert knowledge of Kinship’s target audiences for marketing its programmes and services to (e.g. kinship carers, local authorities, education sector organisations and professionals) and devise tailored multi-channel marketing activities for different audiences to meet service objectives.

• Ensure that all marketing plans and strategies align with, and support, the organisation’s brand strategy.

• Work closely with leads for Kinship’s different programmes and services, and in the Business Development, Digital and Communications teams to ensure marketing communications and engagement with key audiences are aligned.

• Work in collaboration and co-production with kinship carers and their families to ensure meaningful input and representation in the development of relevant plans and activities.

• Drive forward cross-departmental work to further develop the organisation’s email marketing strategic approach.

• Contribute to the development of performance indicators for all marketing activities, using these to adjust campaigns to maximise effectiveness  and provide regular reporting and analysis.

• Line management of a small team.

Essential criteria include:

• Significant experience (5+ years) in marketing, with demonstrable success in delivering integrated strategic marketing and/or engagement strategies which met objectives around engagement and acquisition.

• Experience in a management role, with line management experience, and accustomed to operating with senior-level colleagues.

• Experience of combining marketing and engagement strategies and plans, with experience of stakeholder engagement and management in order to reach a wider audience/consumer/customer.

• Extensive experience of project management and delivering ambitious plans on time, to budget and evaluating outcomes.

• Significant digital marketing experience strategically and operationally with particular experience in maximising digital marketing tools including email marketing systems and paid and organic social.

• Experience using a Content Management System, such as Salesforce and using insights to inform marketing optimisation and planning.

Founded by Queen Alexandra in 1912, Alexandra Rose Charity (ARC) has a long history of supporting people experiencing poverty in the UK. We estimate that our projects have generated a total economic value added of almost £9 million for the local economies of the eight locations where we work: five London Boroughs, Barnsley, Liverpool and Glasgow.

About the role
ARC is a data-rich organisation, having made significant progress in our data analytics activities in recent years. Using the CRM Socialsuite , we have developed sophisticated project performance dashboards, which are critical in supporting both our delivery and reporting efforts. Role Summary:

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

I’m looking to speak to a Content Manager who will join a fantastic health charity, and produce high quality, compelling and insight-driven content for use across multiple channels to raise the profile the charity and their impact. This includes a strong focus on video and multimedia content, written stories and blogs as well as leading their successful podcast production. This is a fantastic role, where you can really help shape narrative, work with people with lived experience to share their story through video production, digital content and creative writing.

Relationship building is key in this role, you will manage the Multimedia Content Producer, work closely with storytellers on commissioned projects and support teams across the entire charity, including Fundraising, Campaigns, Clinical and Service Delivery. You will also manage agencies and freelancers.

As Content Manager you will;

· Work with the Head of Brand and Marketing to develop and deliver the content strategy; assessing content production needs across the charity, generating content ideas with the wider team and managing content production – with the aim to maximise opportunities to communicate the impact of charity’s work.

· Video creation

· Blogs and written content

· Podcast- lead on production and delivery

· Photography- maintain the image library

I’d love to hear from established Content Manager’s with experience planning and implementing content strategies, strong experience of managing video production agencies, outstanding interviewing, copywriting and digital skills.  Job Title: Governance Officer

 Salary: £36,260.00 Inclusive of OLW and Market Supplement of £2,784 Band E level 3

The Governance Team manages the effective operation of The Scout Association’s Board of Trustees and its sub-Committees. Our Governance Officers have a key role in the management of these and the production of the documentation required to facilitate each meeting.

We are looking for a highly organised and competent individual who has good experience of minute taking at Board and Committee level, and who is keen to broaden their knowledge in the third sector and in the company secretarial profession. You’ll have a keen eye for detail and confidence and sensitivity to manage strategic level information in a professional manner.

Time management will be key in ensuring you are fully prepared for the committee cycle which includes agenda preparation, in consultation with the Chair and key staff support, collation and distribution of papers, taking minutes at the meetings and sharing agreed actions with Committee members.

You’ll be expected to provide ongoing support to the Chair of the Board, including diary management, and support to our trustees, including ad hoc enquiries, inductions, arranging appraisals and booking accommodation.

As a volunteer led organisation, The Scout Association holds Board meetings at weekends and Committee meetings during normal office hours (between 9am and 5pm) as well as some in the evening and at weekends. Reasonable notice will be given when required to attend these meetings.

Governing Documents and Events

The Governance Team also manage the Association’s Policy, Organisation and Rules (POR) document which needs careful scrutiny and annual updates in line with changes to legislation and operationally within the movement.

Working with the Governance Manager, the Governance Officer is responsible for providing statistical reports on a quarterly basis for the Board.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the Company Secretary and Governance Manager with effective management of the Committees serviced by the Governance Team. This includes being aware of agenda items prior to each meeting to mitigate any potential issues that may arise. 
• Taking the minutes of agreed Committee and Board meetings and producing a set of minutes for approval within agreed time period.

Skills and abilities:

• Proven competence in this type of role
• Experience of working with trustees and volunteers
• Excellent minute taking skills
• Able to communicate effectively and professionally with people at all levels in the organisation
