Role outline and purpose
The Trussell Trust are seeking a Philanthropy Executive - Trusts to join our high-performing Trusts team. The role supports the Trussell Trust by raising money from charitable trusts, focusing specifically on Tier 3 trusts (giving up to c.£10,000). You will coordinate a programme of regular stewardship communications to our current givers, fundraise from new prospects through mailings and occasional applications, provide administrative support to the wider team, and ensure that records of communications are kept up to date.

Responsibilities
• Coordinate and send mass mailings to Tier 3 charitable trusts, thanking supporters and requesting further support where appropriate
• Develop compelling, persuasive and up-to-date bulk communications to encourage Tier 3 trusts to give regularly, and keep them informed of the Trussell Trust’s achievements and future plans, coordinating with other fundraising teams where appropriate 
• Manage a caseload of c.500 Tier 3 trusts, maintaining accurate records on our CRM database and carrying out analysis on these trusts as necessary
• Liaise with the Supporter Care and Trusts team to ensure that gifts from trusts are coded, thanked and recorded correctly on our database 
• Create and submit occasional funding applications and impact reports for Tier 3 trusts, and offer support to the wider team with their trusts where necessary
• Manage the Trusts team inbox, providing first point of contact for enquiries and colleagues, and fielding them to the relevant Trusts team members.

Technical skills and minimum knowledge:

Office Administrator - Donor Communications and Volunteer Liaison

Friends of the Holy Land are looking for an energetic, dedicated individual to join our fast-moving, growing charity.

Friends of the Holy Land has a small network of volunteer supporters around the country and an expanding number of financial donors. Salary: £23,595 (£39325 pro-rated) (likely increase from August 1st to keep up with inflation) 

Hours: 22.5 (3 days) per week

Location: Work from home, with occasional meetings in London required (travel at employee’s expense).

The role at a glance: Leading on EFA’s operations, with particularly emphasis on financial management and HR support for our small team of (currently) 8 employees. You’ll develop and administer our People policies, practices and culture to support EFA as a happy, equitable place to work and an effective mission-focused organisation. Scope for both day-to-day care for our systems and creative improvement of how we do things. In addition, to oversee EFA finances; payments received and paid, budgeting, monitoring any financial risks and advising with records/reports to the board of trustees and staff team on a monthly basis.   Read more about the role.

You bring strong experience of ‘People work’ and governance of groups or organisations (whether paid or unpaid), with an interest in how to bring the best of conventional operations practisce into a team interested in a more equal distribution of power. You’re a ‘people person’, combining strong communication skills with a strategic eye on moving towards solutions. You’re committed to anti-oppression and promoting healthy workplaces for staff. About EFA

English for Action provides free, participatory, and empowering English language classes (ESOL) for migrants in London. Our classes are spaces to build community and support students to organise collectively around issues like employment and housing rights. Our work currently supports around 500 adult migrants across London. We’ve become a national centre of good practice for a radical participatory approach to ESOL, informed by the work of Paulo Freire, and we share this approach through trainings, research and partnerships. 

Organisation: We are a staff team of 8 people supported by a larger team of volunteers and 9 trustees. EFA promotes shared leadership and collaboration and we aim for our organisational structure to reflect this. In the last 4 years we’ve transitioned away from having a CEO to an executive team to oversee operations and decision-making - which you could be elected to join following your probation period. We’re still in transition and there is scope to make a real contribution to developing innovative practice within our workplace. As a charity, ultimate responsibility for, and control of, the organisation lies with the Board of Trustees.

Are you a proactive Senior Finance Manager with wanting to work with a charity?

We are proud to be partnering with a great national organisation that supports people experiencing mental health problems. They are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to support the management team to use financial information to plan and run services and the organisation on a part-time basis (15 hours a week) for up to 6 months.

Fully remote.

You will liaise with the Senior Management Team, Budget holders and the external Finance operations provider. You will manage the contract for the day-to-day financial operations and work with the outsourced finance team to clear backlogs of sales invoices (working with SMT project leads), finalise raising invoices process/ sales invoice timetable, establish petty cash reconciliation process, establish new system for expenses and coordinate payment runs. You will also complete monthly pension contribution submissions and contribute to the production of financial statements and the delivery of a successful audit . You will collaborate with the wider organisation to ensure accurate financial management information, identify operational and financial risks, and determine methods of mitigating the risks. You will perform any other reasonable tasks required by the CEO.

This role requires proven experience of using insight and analysis to provide trends, inform and drive business decisions and experience of formulating, overseeing and reporting on operational plans, including KPIs.

The successful candidate will have a strategic, collaborative and solution focused approach to support excellent service provision and fiscal responsibility. They will also show demonstrable innovative ability; using data and insight to inform recommendations for improvements to products, processes or activities. They will be a proficient user of Microsoft technologies at an advanced level (particularly MS Excel).
