Our client is committed to transforming lives of children and young people by creating opportunities to learn, grow, and develop through Education. The Charity is an independent funder and our income is generated from our endowment which consists of both significant property holdings and financial investments, therefore we do not fund raise, our client has distributed over £298 million in grants to a range of organisations that seek to promote the life chances of children and young people through Education, with around £15 million in grants distributed each year. The Charity gives grants to benefit children and young up to the age of 25 (or up to 30 for younger people with special educational needs and/or disabilities) who live within nine Boroughs in West, Central and North London.
We are delighted to be working with the Charity to recruit a permanent Financial Controller to join its established team based in conveniently located offices in Central London.
The role:
Reporting directly to the COO, the Financial Controller will ensure the provision of consistent, robust financial advice to the Charity as a whole. This person will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of finance and financial operations, ensuring these are compliant with statutory requirements and appropriate and effective financial controls are in place. They will also maintain a financial planning framework that will facilitate the delivery of the Charity’s financial strategy. This will involve managing one direct report, overseeing all financial reporting and tax compliance, preparing the Charity’s management accounts and the end of year accounts for approval and sign off by the Trustees. In addition, the role will be responsible for managing an annual financial audit process preparing the annual budgets in advance for SLT sign off and providing sound financial advice across all of these areas.
This person will also manage all external relationships with banks, financial institutions, property Investors and auditors wherever Finance is the main issue being dealt with. This person will also oversee all Grants related financial transactions in close collaboration with the Grants department.
The person:
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant and will be able to provide excellent financial management and reporting for the Charity. They will be confident working with different internal stakeholders and external professional advisors and will be capable of considering their different requirements and priorities in a knowledgeable way. This person will have excellent attention to detail and will be highly organised and a strong communicator across a wide range of audiences. Educated to Degree level or the equivalent (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CIPFA), this person will have excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication and will be up to date on all MS Office packages and financial software including SAGE being essential.
Candidates with prior experience of working with endowed Trusts, Foundations or Charities or who have worked in Charities that have income derived from a permanent endowment (either partially or totally), will be of particular interest, so please draw attention to this when applying.
This person will have demonstrated substantial financial management experience at a senior level in the Charity or Not-for-Profit sectors, with extensive knowledge of UK Charity Accounting Standards (SORP, Charity Commission compliance and VAT). Also experienced in strategic financial planning, preparing complex financial statements, budgeting and cashflow forecasting, and have good knowledge of financial planning in a Funder or Grant-Maker setting. As our income is generated from our endowment which consists of both significant property holdings and financial investments a substantial experience of managing income and cashflow from property and investments is essential.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Children's Services Co-ordinator to lead on the delivery of our services for children and young people with additional needs (SEND). This includes an Afterschool Club, Weekend and School Holiday Playschemes/Teens sessions and evening youth groups.
The role involves planning and delivering inclusive, engaging, and structured group sessions within a fun, safe, and supportive environment. You’ll be key in mentoring staff, ensuring quality service delivery and getting to know the children, young people and families we support.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Organisation
· Collaborate with the Team Leader to manage bookings and allocate places across sessions.
· Support with recruitment and line management of Group Leaders, Deputy Group Leaders, and sessional staff, working with the Head of Services and Talent Acquisition Manager.
· Develop creative, inclusive session plans in partnership with Group Leaders, ensuring activities meet the needs and interests of participants.
· Procure resources for sessions including sensory toys, arts and crafts materials, baking supplies, etc.
· Ensure session documentation and CRM records are accurately maintained.
· Maintain excellent communication with parents, carers, social workers, schools, and internal teams.
· Identify and coordinate training needs within the team, taking part in relevant professional development.
· Liaise with the Office Manager to ensure all spaces used are clean, safe, and hygienic.
· Work with the Marketing Manager to share impact stories, quotes, and photos (with appropriate consents).
Session Delivery & Quality
· Oversee the delivery of all sessions, ensuring they are age-appropriate, engaging, and meet the needs of young people with SEND.
· Supervise and coach staff during sessions, providing guidance on behaviour management and inclusion strategies.
· Ensure every session promotes fun, safety, and a sense of belonging.
· Support staff in session planning and resource management, ensuring spaces are left tidy and ready for the next use.
· Plan and coordinate meals/snacks for afterschool sessions, ensuring adherence to food hygiene standards.
· Foster independence in young people, supporting them to develop social, communication, and life skills.
· Provide hands-on support where needed, including personal care, eating and drinking, mobility, or emotional regulation.
· Implement a simple outcomes framework to measure impact and track progress.
Safeguarding, Incidents & Compliance
· Ensure all safeguarding policies and procedures are followed, maintaining a vigilant and proactive approach to child safety.
· Record all incidents and accidents using CPOMS and escalate urgent concerns appropriately to the Head of Services and Quality and/or CEO (Designated Safeguarding Lead).
· Model professional curiosity and promote a culture of safeguarding awareness ("It could happen here" mindset).
General Responsibilities

LMK Leaders are passionate and organised educators who run community workshops, aimed at young people aged between 11 and 24. Expectations of LMK Leaders
- Always adhere to LMK and host organisations health & safety and safeguarding practices and procedures.
- Capable of maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries with young people, peers, and professionals.
- Respond to comms (emails/WhatsApp) sent out by LMK team members in a timely manner, to support planning and organising of sessions.
- Plan and deliver interactive LMK workshops in educational and community settings in line with LMK delivery style and ethos.
- Meet with co-facilitators to carry out pre-session planning, minimum three working days before delivery.
- Use your experience and knowledge of the issues affecting young people to tailor the workshops accordingly.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required

- Experience or co-designing session plans and co-facilitating with others; able to collaborate equally with others.
- A strong commitment to young people and knowledge and understanding of issues affecting their relationships.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills with the ability to create a safe and non-judgmental space, that allows young people to speak freely about their relationships and experience.
- Able to adapt and be flexible in workshops to get the best engagement from a range of participants.
Must also:
- Be entitled to work in the UK.
- Hold a DBS certificate or be willing to let LMK undertake a check on your behalf.
- Have a recent safeguarding qualification from a recognised provider or be willing to undertake additional training in this area.

About the Role
The Lead Lawyer - Africa Death Penalty Team is responsible for coordinating Reprieve’s litigation and advocacy in Sub-Saharan Africa. At the moment, the team works on death penalty casework and abolition advocacy in Malawi, Tanzania, and Kenya.
Our casework includes work on appeals to the Malawi Supreme Court of Appeal in the context of historic denials of a right to appeal and related contextual challenges; large-scale projects, such as the Kenya resentencing project, wherein we support stakeholders to ensure 5,000+ people are able to access a chance at reducing their sentence from death via a new sentence hearing, as well as supporting on individual strategic resentencing cases; and long-term regional projects, such as our strategic litigation before the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights, which challenges the mandatory death penalty, torture, and other associated violations of the African Charter. Length and Salary
This is a full-time role, on a one-year fixed term contract, with the possibility to extend, subject to funding. The annual salary is £52,088 per annum, less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance.
This role is based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work two days per week from the London office and the rest of the week from home. Applicants must have the current right to work in the UK, which will be checked prior to interview.
Your presence is important during core office hours, whether remotely or in the office. You will also be available outside of office hours in the event of an emergency, for example case developments that require urgent action. This is a role that may require travel and work outside of core office hours from time to time.

With the end of bear bile farming in Vietnam now within reach, Animals Asia is entering an exciting new phase – expanding sanctuary capacity, entering new markets, and securing long-term care for every rescued bear.
Animals Asia has spent over 25 years working to end cruelty and restore respect for animals across Asia. With teams in Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, the UK, and beyond, they combine advocacy, direct rescue, and sanctuary care to create systemic change. Their mission to end bear bile farming – arguably the world’s cruelest form of animal abuse – is almost complete. In November 2023, they opened their third bear sanctuary which will enable them to bring home every last bear and achieve their founding goal in Vietnam by the end of 2026.
Their global fundraising and communications team is driven, well-structured, and rooted in the charity’s deeply held values. Income has been steadily rising since 2017 and they have the people, plans and investment to maintain this growth.
The Trusts and Foundations function has grown substantially since being unified globally in 2020. With a 2024 target of $1.3m and strong pipeline visibility, this role focuses on securing and stewarding 5- and 6-figure multi-year partnerships, with particular scope for growth in the US and unrestricted giving.
