Key Responsibilities
1) Membership and Engagement

Support the implementation of a membership engagement plan to help increase retention and highlight member value.

Help promote Imkaan’s membership offer and communicate its unique value to members.

Essential Experience

This role will focus on economic systems change, including innovative work on ways to drive private investment in nature; and on the role that nature must play in helping us to adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change. You will also play a key role in delivering those messages to key influencers in Government and in Parliament.

What we need…
We are looking for an experienced fundraiser keen to step in and lead our efforts to scale our fundraising here in the UK. You will be a hands-on leader, getting stuck into everything from fundraising to operations, while ensuring impeccable financial sustainability.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader, with a passion for giving children the best possible start and with a strong belief in the power of communities. The role will work both locally and nationally, as part of the wider team.
The Director will manage our client’s existing programme in Redcar and Cleveland with a talented and committed team (10 staff). They will also develop and manage the new programme in Middlesbrough, currently in Discovery phase, and recruit a staff team of 8- 10 people, with support from the charity’s central team. The Individual Giving & Community Fundraising Manager will have an exciting opportunity to grow World Child Cancer’s individual giving. They will also lead on creating a donor experience that will ensure people can engage with us in lots of different ways, from a lottery or regular support, legacies, community fundraising and events (including the London Marathon).
The post holder will be responsible for:
- Managing and growing individual giving.

Women at the Well is a support service for women based in the King’s Cross area of central London. We provide practical support and advocacy to women facing a wide range of disadvantages, and we have a specialism in working with women whose lives have been affected by prostitution and/or sexual exploitation. The Director of Development will be responsible for developing and achieving the organisation's income strategy, with particular focus on developing, prospecting, and building relationships with high value donors, corporates, financial advisors, and wealth management. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, this role will be a strategic Director, whilst also leading on key donor facing relationships. This role will be critical to leading and executing successful engagement strategies for both internal and external stakeholders, with the support of a small team of two.
The successful candidate will be able to evidence setting strategy and delivering successful high value income generation growth. This person will be able to demonstrate identifying and securing gifts of a six-figure plus level. They will have a proven track record of developing and maintaining strategic senior networks. Context of post
Reducing the Risk of Domestic Abuse is a company and charity set up to:
- provide inclusive services that reduce the risk of domestic abuse and promote the safety, choices and welfare of those affected
- enhance awareness of the nature and prevalence of domestic violence and help to foster good practice and an integrated multi integrated approach.
- This post holder will be in the high-risk team and be managed by the Service Manager with support from the Senior IDVA.
- A structured training and induction programme is in place to ensure new staff members are knowledgeable, confident and comfortable with the role.
- After 6 months of experience, the applicant will attend the Safelives IDVA training.
- Workload will be adjusted and study time will be given for attendance at training.
- Salary will be uplifted on successful completion of the course.
The trustees collectively have expertise in domestic abuse, child protection, criminal justice, voluntary sector governance, local authority community safety, training and quality assurance. While primarily a local charity the trustees anticipate that, with a focus on quality, some of the work of the charity may contribute to broader good practice development. The charity participates in a number of multi agency partnerships responsible for aspects of the county’s integrated domestic abuse strategy.
Function
The first priority of the charity is to provide an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor Service for the county. The post holder will be a member of the IDVA team and provide a pro-active service to victims of domestic violence to keep them safe and promote their wellbeing. They will use their skills to assess the risk a client is in, deliver a service appropriate to the level of risk and have a particular focus on providing an intensive service to those at high risk. The post holder will have the skills to act as lead professional, working to ensure an integrated service and co-ordinating multi agency work to keep people safe, in addition to working with victims and signposting to other services.
Responsibilities:
- Work as part of the Oxfordshire IDVA team to provide pro-active service and advice to victims at high risk of harm from domestic abuse to keep them and their children safe
- Risk assess and deliver service in keeping with the result
- Undertake safety planning with clients
- Develop individual service plans to meet the specific risks clients face
- Where relevant also support victims in their role as primary carers for their children
- Manage a caseload
- Maintain and update records of all cases
- Participate in champion networks and work closely with outreach workers and any other dedicated DA services as appropriate
- Participate in MARAC framework: refer clients to, attend and participate in meetings, follow-up on actions agreed in MARAC
- Keep other relevant services informed about important changes in client’s situation
- Support clients through the criminal justice system, explaining the procedures and their role and rights within that system
- Ensure that clients are immediately informed of any CJS developments and advised on any aspect affecting their safety
- Explain housing, civil and criminal legal options to clients
- Ensure that clients access the services to which they are entitled
- Refer on and arrange meetings with other agencies/services as necessary e.g. solicitors, benefit agencies, etc.
- Note and feedback to other agencies any consistent difficulties clients are having accessing their service
- Help clients develop their own support network
- Follow procedures and protocols so that the safety of the clients is kept central to any process
- Ensure Reducing the Risk fulfils its responsibilities in relation to safeguarding children
- Understand the legal framework relating to the protection of children, and the policy and procedures of Oxfordshire Safeguarding Children’s Board – including specific guidelines applied to the voluntary sector
- Participate in supervision and support systems for the service, and in training and professional development
- Bring casework issues and regular difficulties clients are having to the attention of the manager; contribute to efforts to improve Reducing the Risk practice and procedures and/or to work through multi agency partnerships to improve multi agency practice
- Any additional responsibilities as reasonably requested by the manager or trustees
The nature of this post will require flexibility to meet work needs as they arise. This may occassionally entail some work outside normal office hours. The post holder will be expected to adopt a flexible attitude to their duties. These may have to be varied after discussion, subject to the needs of the service and in keeping with the general profile of the post. There will also sometimes be a necessity to work effectively under pressure.

Context of post
Reducing the Risk of Domestic Abuse is a company and charity set up to:
- provide inclusive services that reduce the risk of domestic abuse and promote the safety, choices and welfare of those affected
- enhance awareness of the nature and prevalence of domestic violence and help to foster good practice and an integrated multi integrated approach.
- The postholder will work in the high-risk team and be managed by the Service Manager with support from the Senior IDVA.
- A structured training and induction programme is in place to ensure new staff members are knowledgeable, confident and comfortable with the role.
- After 6 months of experience, the applicant will attend the Safelives IDVA training.
- Workload will be adjusted and study time will be given for attendance at training.
- Salary will be uplifted on successful completion of the course.
The trustees collectively have expertise in domestic abuse, child protection, criminal justice, voluntary sector governance, local authority community safety, training and quality assurance. While primarily a local charity the trustees anticipate that, with a focus on quality, some of the work of the charity may contribute to broader good practice development. The charity participates in a number of multi agency partnerships responsible for aspects of the county’s integrated domestic abuse strategy.
Function
The first priority of the charity is to provide an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor Service for the county. The post holder will be a member of the IDVA team and provide a pro-active service to victims of domestic violence to keep them safe and promote their wellbeing. They will use their skills to assess the risk a client is in, deliver a service appropriate to the level of risk and have a particular focus on providing an intensive service to those at high risk. The post holder will have the skills to act as lead professional, working to ensure an integrated service and co-ordinating multi agency work to keep people safe, in addition to working with victims and signposting to other services.
Responsibilities:
- Work as part of the Oxfordshire IDVA team to provide pro-active service and advice to victims at high risk of harm from domestic abuse to keep them and their children safe
- Risk assess and deliver service in keeping with the result
- Undertake safety planning with clients
- Develop individual service plans to meet the specific risks clients face
- Where relevant also support victims in their role as primary carers for their children
- Manage a caseload
- Maintain and update records of all cases
- Participate in champion networks and work closely with outreach workers and any other dedicated DA services as appropriate
- Participate in MARAC framework: refer clients to, attend and participate in meetings, follow-up on actions agreed in MARAC
- Keep other relevant services informed about important changes in client’s situation
- Support clients through the criminal justice system, explaining the procedures and their role and rights within that system
- Ensure that clients are immediately informed of any CJS developments and advised on any aspect affecting their safety
- Explain housing, civil and criminal legal options to clients
- Ensure that clients access the services to which they are entitled
- Refer on and arrange meetings with other agencies/services as necessary e.g. solicitors, benefit agencies, etc.
- Note and feedback to other agencies any consistent difficulties clients are having accessing their service
- Help clients develop their own support network
- Follow procedures and protocols so that the safety of the clients is kept central to any process
- Ensure Reducing the Risk fulfils its responsibilities in relation to safeguarding children
- Understand the legal framework relating to the protection of children, and the policy and procedures of Oxfordshire Safeguarding Children’s Board – including specific guidelines applied to the voluntary sector
- Participate in supervision and support systems for the service, and in training and professional development
- Bring casework issues and regular difficulties clients are having to the attention of the manager; contribute to efforts to improve Reducing the Risk practice and procedures and/or to work through multi agency partnerships to improve multi agency practice
- Any additional responsibilities as reasonably requested by the manager or trustees
The nature of this post will require flexibility to meet work needs as they arise. This may occassionally entail some work outside normal office hours. The post holder will be expected to adopt a flexible attitude to their duties. These may have to be varied after discussion, subject to the needs of the service and in keeping with the general profile of the post. There will also sometimes be a necessity to work effectively under pressure.
Appointment to the post will be subject to full enhanced DSB checks.

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Fundraiser to join our friendly team. We seek someone who feels passionately about our mission, to help us to drive income and ensure Success Club can continue to change lives, by building strong engagement with our donors and fundraisers. You will build on our past successes by managing existing relationships with, and making new grant-applications to Trusts and Foundations. We are a small core team and ideas are welcomed! You will identify new avenues for fundraising, and help us explore a growing portfolio of community support, to ensure the best possible experience for individual supporters and donors.
As Fundraiser, you’ll be the first point of contact for all inbound fundraising enquiries—whether by email, phone or at in-person events. You will nurture relationships with our existing individual and corporate supporters and identify and cultivate prospective donors.
You’ll be proactive and organised, passionate about delivering outstanding supporter experiences, and will have a strong understanding of the charity sector. Familiarity with fundraising databases or CRMs is also a plus.
The role will involve representing Success Club at occasional meetings and events, where you’ll be well supported by our existing team of Trustees and the CEO & Business and Operations Manager. There may be occasional out-of-hours work required. You’ll be a strong communicator and natural networker who enjoys building relationships and presenting.
Measures of Success
■ Strategic Communications – Delivering compelling, high-quality written applications, proposals, and reports to funders, alongside excellent verbal communication with stakeholders and partners.
■ Supporter Stewardship – Proactively identifying and cultivating relationships with high-value supporters, including trusts, foundations, and corporate sponsors, to increase engagement and secure long-term support.
■ Bid Development – Writing successful funding bids and grant applications that align with funder priorities and Success Club’s mission, achieving or exceeding income targets.
■ CRM/Data – Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of donor interactions, applications, and outcomes in line with GDPR, enabling effective pipeline management.
■ Events & Representation – Attending and supporting community, corporate and networking events to raise the charity’s profile and create new funding opportunities.
Fundraising Executive Responsibilities
■ Deliver Against Fundraising Targets – You will work to a pre-agreed fundraising target, with a focus on generating income through writing high-quality funding applications to trusts, foundations, and corporate partners.
■ Be a Welcoming First Point of Contact – Provide a professional and helpful response to all supporter and donor enquiries across phone, email, and in-person interactions.
■ Individual Donor Strategy Development – Design and implement innovative and tailored supporter journeys to retain and grow donor engagement, particularly for high-value funders.

RLSS UK has a proud history of helping to reduce the number of lives lost to drowning through the fantastic work undertaken by their volunteers, staff, trustees, and members who advocate for and promote water safety in the communities they serve. The charity utilises their extensive, world-leading knowledge of water safety and training in developing a comprehensive range of vocational qualifications and a series of awards and education programmes, which all have the ultimate aim of preventing drowning and stopping unnecessary loss of life. Their portfolio includes the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) - the premier lifeguard training programme.
The Director of Membership and Education will be responsible for strengthening, developing and growing the RLSS UK membership offering, deepening engagement with existing and prospective members and developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programmes, courses, and resources. The development and implementation of an organisation wide membership and education strategy, which is aligned with organisational goals and aimed at enhancing the member experience, and driving educational initiatives, including current and potential qualifications and training programmes will be key.
The Director of Membership and Education will also be an empowering leader, managing a team of 13 with 4 direct reports, ensuring the effective delivery of member initiatives and lifesaving and lifeguarding training, and water safety education.
