Role Overview
As the Corporate Partnerships Lead within the RCR Learning team, you will be instrumental in securing additional income for the College through sponsorship and exhibition partnerships. As part of this work, our Finance & Operations Team engages with a wide range of people to support the Trust’s vision for Gloucestershire, and our Finance & Operations Manager is integral to this.

We are looking for a Finance & Operations Manager to provide effective financial management, accurate financial reporting and oversee the facilities management of the Trust’s offices. The Finance & Operations Manager will manage a team of 2 and be part of the Trust’s People Manager Team.

Contract terms:

Summary of key duties:

Financial Management and Reporting

· Develop, implement and operate monitoring systems for financial forecasting and re-forecasting to support sound decision making.

· Lead on and co-ordinate the annual budgeting and planning process ensuring that information is collected, compiled and reported in a timely manner to the Leadership Team for review and recommendation to the Finance & Audit Committee.

· Produce quarterly and annual internal finance report and management accounts for reporting to the Leadership Team and Finance & Audit Committee, which summarise budget trends, analyse and report variance.

· Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, through liaisons with the Trust’s external auditors for preparing of the SORP financial statements.

Policy and Procedures

· Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of effective procurement policies, procedures and systems ensuring best value is achieved across all activities.

· Lead on the annual insurance renewal process, ensuring appropriate cover is in place and general administration of the Trust’s insurance policies is enacted.

Payroll

· Maintain payroll processing system and run the monthly payroll.

Facilities Management

· Support the development of a 5 year planned preventative maintenance plan for the Trust’s premises, to support budget and resource planning.

· Oversee the management of the Trust’s premises ensuring contracts are in place and appropriately managed to ensure the smooth running and maintenance of the building and that all health and safety requirements are met.

Line management responsibilities

· Provide line management to the Finance Co-ordinator and Workplace & Facilities Manager, enacting the Trust’s management processes to ensure that all employees are motivated, supported and enabled to give of their best.

· Contribute to Trust-wide people management policies, procedures and team culture as a member of the People Manger Team.

Essential Knowledge and Experience 

· Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or experience to this level (E).

· Practical knowledge and understanding of management accounting principles and techniques.

· In-depth knowledge of budgeting and financial forecasting and preparation of financial reports for senior management and compliance purposes.

· Line management experience to foster a productive and supportive team environment.

Summary of skills

· Strong numerical and analytical skills to effectively analyse financial reports.

· Proactive problem-solver, demonstrating high levels of initiative, organisation and flexibility.

· Ability to work meticulously and methodically, demonstrating attention to detail.

About the role

About the role

You will provide strategic leadership and direction for income generation through various fundraising disciplines and joint fundraising partnerships, ensuring the charity's diversification of funding and financial sustainability. Funding sources include major grantmakers, trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, challenge events, and an individual giving campaign.

Hand in hand with leading fundraising, you will oversee the Communications team, supporting, developing and monitoring the communications strategy, associated budget, resources, systems, processes and operations. This will involve overseeing and directing a communications plan promoting the work of Dementia Adventure to a broad range of audiences through various channels and campaigns, along with increasing online and social media presence.

About you
We are looking for someone to join the charity’s Senior Leadership Team who will bring experience from their past successes and provide inspirational strategic leadership and direction to the fundraising and communications functions in support of the Dementia Adventure business plan, charitable mission and objectives. The successful applicant will have a strong, successful track record of fundraising and/or other forms of income generation in the charity sector, including management, with proven experience in meeting financial and non-financial targets. You should be able to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including trusts and grant givers, corporates, major donors and other individuals. About the role

As Head of External Affairs, you will lead a team of seven and set the strategic direction for our external affairs function. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring our media relations, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement activities enhance the Health Foundation’s reputation, support our strategic objectives, and position us as a leading voice in health and care policy.

As a senior member of the Communications team, you will be responsible for contributing to the leadership and smooth running of the Communications team, as well as providing advice to senior staff and colleagues across the Foundation. In this role, you will:

• Lead the external affairs team, providing direction, motivation, performance management and development for team members and working with them to develop a vision for first class external affairs at the Foundation.

•  Oversee the effective management of the Foundation’s media relations by overseeing proactive and reactive media work, building relationships with journalists and providing robust media relations advice to senior staff and other colleagues

Director of Philanthropy

The Director of Philanthropy will be part of the Executive Team and be responsible for overseeing the successful creation and delivery of a new income generation strategy for the mission of the Lodge.

Focusing on Ultra High Net Worth Individuals and Corporates, this role will lead the relationship mapping, building, and the fundraising ask. It will convey the unique offering Cumberland Lodge can bring to potential donors and work towards multimillion pound income levels to ensure the growth of the charity's educational programme delivery and activity. This role line manages one staff member and has direct support from the CEO to achieve income generation growth.  A key opportunity is the upcoming 80 th anniversary of the Educational Foundation in 2027.

The successful candidate will be able to evidence extensive high value fundraising experience, with notable examples of successfully securing six and seven-figure gifts from major donors and corporates.

This person will have proven experience of creating and leading successful philanthropy fundraising strategy to achieve income and engagement growth of a multimillion-pound level. They will also be an experienced senior leader and ideally have knowledge of the education, youth, social impact, and social values sectors. They will champion an inclusive culture and align with Cumberland Lodge's mission and values.

We’re looking for a strategically-minded leader to take forward our work in schools, including managing our new ‘Creating Supportive Environments’ project over the next three years. The Opportunity: Project Lead 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Lead to join our passionate team. This is a pivotal role in a fast-paced environment, crucial for driving forward our strategic goals and expanding our impact within the Oxfordshire food sustainability scene. You will be instrumental in overseeing key local projects, strengthening community and network connections, and ensuring the successful uptake and measurement of the Oxfordshire Food Strategy and Food Action Plans. 

This is a 4-day per week role (0.8 FTE). We believe in flexibility and encourage interested candidates to discuss alternative working arrangements that suit their needs.

This is a hands-on role where you will be equally comfortable working on high-level strategy, diving into project specifics, and rolling up your sleeves to execute campaigns and initiatives. 

What You’ll Be Doing: 

• Project Leadership & Oversight: Oversee and drive the successful delivery of various local projects, including key initiatives such as FEAST2030, WISH, and other emerging projects within the Oxfordshire food partnership. 

• Community & Network Connection: Drive and nurture robust community and network connections for the Oxfordshire food partnership. This includes organising and attending events, and conducting visits to network members and community food groups to ensure GFO is well-connected and able to best support the needs of the food sustainability scene in Oxfordshire. 

• Strategic Impact & Measurement: Serve as the key contact for Sustainable Food Places, overseeing the uptake and diligently measuring the impact of the Oxfordshire Food Strategy and Food Action Plans. 

• Partnership & Collaboration: Cultivate strong relationships with research cohorts we are involved in, such as FEAST, ensuring collaborative success and mutual benefit. 

• Campaign & Initiative Delivery: Drive forward impactful food-waste projects and campaigns, including the beloved Pumpkin Festival and the Great Big Green Lunch, from conception to successful execution. 

• Strategic Development & Reporting: Work closely with the CEO to drive forward strategic change within GFO. Collaborate with the Comms and Fundraising Lead to ensure timely and accurate updates are provided on funded projects for reports and communications. 

What You’ll Bring: 

• Proven track record in project leadership, ideally within the non-profit, community development, or food sustainability sectors. 

• Experience in community engagement and network building. 

• A strong understanding of sustainable food systems and the challenges and opportunities within this space. 

• Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence a diverse range of stakeholders (particularly community food groups). 

• Data-driven approach to measuring project impact and reporting. 

• A proactive and adaptable mindset, thriving in a dynamic environment. 

• Passion for creating a more sustainable and equitable food system in Oxfordshire.

We are looking for a new Office Manager to organise and coordinate administration duties and office procedures in the charity. Your role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication and safety. You will be experienced with a variety of office software (such as email tools, spreadsheets and databases) and be able to accurately handle administrative duties.

As the central point of contact for everyone within our charity you will have an overview of many different things, an impeccable working knowledge of the charity and its aims, and will “pitch in” wherever necessary to ensure the charity operates smoothly.

This position is a permanent full time post (40 hours per week) which will be office based in Holderness House, 51-61 Clifton Street, London EC2A 4DW.  The starting salary for the post will be £37,129.00 per annum.

Essential Skills

§  Line management of key administrative staff.

§  Management the office budget, including processing invoices.

§  Upkeep of the charities’ customer relationship management (CRM) system; providing support to users and troubleshooting issues.

§  Act as the lead manager for ensuring compliance with data protection principles, policy and legislation.

§  Training users of the CRM.

§  Serving as a point of contact for internal and external communications, including general enquiries, phone calls, emails, and correspondence.

§  Coordination of administrative support to other departments, such as managing fundraising supplies and posting them to supporters.

ACCT UK is a national youth charity dedicated to improving the life chances of young people. The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force in schools. Together we want to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence and be inspired through their cadet experience.

We want to develop the youth leadership and training abilities of adult volunteers whilst also helping young people to access cadet activities through fundraising, grant-making, developing new resources and direct support.
